Hello, i have purchased file manager plugin but i would like to receive your support for a “bug” and for a solution.
1) In the front end i see duplicated hierarchy folders, as you can see in this image:

2) I need to see in the columns ( Nome, Permessi, etc..) of the same front end page, the user that have uploaded that file in a particular folder. How can I achieve this purpose?

hello; I see on your website that the current version of the Advanced File Manager wordpress plugin is 7.3;
however, when I look at the plugin in my plugins page in wp-admin, it shows I’m running 6.0
when I click ‘check for updates’, I get a message telling me the plugin is up to date…
I’m confused – we’d like to be running the most current version of the plugin.

You can just download the latest version from codecanon. If you have already purchased it, it would be free.
You can replace it with your existing plugin.
I’m not exactly sure what you mean by “You can replace it with your existing plugin”
You can deactivate and delete the old plugin, and install the new one.

We have a few users on our site that have been given admin rights. Their usernames are not ‘admin’, however, usually something like ‘john’ or ‘mary’.
When any of these admin users creates a new user, which they need to do on a regular basis, they’re unable to click on the “show password” button. Clicking on it simply does nothing.
However, when logged in as the actual ‘admin’ user, clicking this button reveals the password field, as expected.
This is holding up our daily operation, as our administrators are unable to add new users.
Let me know if this isn’t clear and I’ll try to rewrite the question differently.

Hello, thank you for the nice plugin. There are two things i would like to solve:
1. When i use {filename} i get the full path to the root of the server. Q: How can i strip everything before the actual folder the file is in ?
2. How can i send an email to all users no matter who uploaded a file ?
I dont mind editing php files.

Nevermind 2. i found another way for this.
You can find elfindervolumedriver.class.php inside the php folder of the filemanager plugin and use dirname function to find the folder name here:

dirname() is not the right function as the levels go from the filename up.
However, i was able to solve it with:

I purchased your plugin and I see many say the plugin is easy and so far it’s not. I am trying to have certain folder appear for anyone that visits the website and certain folders that only “Members” see. Do you have any video support that I could look at?
Yes, you can go to the front-end access page and create a shortcode for “Everyone” and choose the folder you want everyone to see, and then use that shortcode on the page.
In the same front-end access page you can also create another shortcode for “Subscribers” and choose the folder only members can see and use that shortcode where you want the members to see that folder.

The free filemanager gives you access to the root folder and you can navigate in the folders and access files, the paid filemanager has all the features from the free one plus:
It lets you assign any folder to any user or user roles, this lets you share files and folders between your subscribers.
It also has the feature to allow every user to have their own unique folder where admin can share files to each user without having to create folders for each user.
You can also enable upload email notifications, which sends a notification email to admin when a user uploads file to their default folder, and user gets an email when admin uploads a file to the user’s folder.
User access permission like read/write, read only and read upload.
It allows you to assign multiple folders to users.

question about the plugin; Of some has the link of the file, for example a PDF, are they able to view the PDF?
So does it create restriction on folder level or does it also secure the files in the folder?

Yes, pdf files can be viewed. Secure files link feature changes the file links so they are not accessible directly from the browser, but if you completely want to restrict folder access, you can add .htaccess file with deny all in that folder.

Also can admin easily drag and drop files to all users folders from same window? As in see each users personal folders and add as they wish to each user?

Yes, you can drag any files/folders to any other folder, even from the root folder. All the dragged files will keep the same structure. Keep in mind that dragging and dropping will cut/paste the files into new folder. You can copy by holding ctrl button on your keyboard.

Yes, all modern browsers will allow you to upload folders too. It will keep all the files and folders structure the same.

Auto deletion isnt something built into the filemanager plugin, but if want it custom made you can email me and we can talk.
I have installed the plugin and after a little work got the public facing interface working.. however when using the metro theme.. I am getting 2 errors in the console for missing files.. home.png and reload.png in site the windows-10/images/16px directory. i have checked the original download and do not see those.. Is there a place where I can get those files?
