Hey! I purchased the plugin and it looks great. But when users try to register they’re met with the message “user registration is not currently allowed.”
I’m sure there’s a quick fix for this but I haven’t been able to figure it out on the back. Please help.

Hello! No. Subcategories are not supported. But you can name categories like
Listening – Subcategory 1
Listening – Subcategory 2
So it will replace your subcategories

Hi there, thanks for the reply. Well, from our perspective, it’s somewhat counter-intuitive to have the end users navigating away from the main voting page just to view/vote a certain video. Ideally it would be great if there’s setting where we can enable the popup functionality. Thanks.

And if my host provider don’t update? There’s another solution or fix for this? PHP version is 5.3.10,

. The update is very easy do not worry about that. You must do the update not only because of my plugin acutally you need do that update also because of your WordPress installation. And it is very simple to do that. Just ask your host provider.

Here I want to public a request for some UX improvements that are really important (users complain)
1. When user watches video and clicks Vote, video stops, closes, and a Thank you page opens. That’s unexpected behavior, and therefore it’s bad for UX. User becomes afraid to click Vote button again. Much better would be this: User clicks Vote -> button changes (as it is already done) -> suggestion to share ‘Share video with your friends and help it to win!’ appears under the button. So video doesn’t stop, the page doesn’t close, and user continues watching video without interruption.
2. If user already voted for the video, he should have no possibility to click Vote button under the video again. When he visits the video page next time, the button is inactive with a lable ‘You voted for this video’. It’s more friendly to user than to firstly let him click button and then show him a red warning that he can’t vote. Therefore this way will be better for UX.
3. In the list somehow mark already seen/voted videos if user is authorized, so he haven’t got to remember if he’d already seen or voted for every video.

1) You can disable this in your General settings – Votting settings tab – Redirect user to Share page after vote?
2) I know. But the button also give instruction why is not possible to vote. Example. Two people in one family tried to vote a video. In one case it is possible to vote in the second case is not. The second person know that someone on the same IP address already voted. So he/she knows why is not possible to vote again. If i do that your way the second person will say… What the hell? I cannot vote? Why?. So that information, that someone already voted from the same IP or from the same computer is very important.
3) I believe that every person can remember if he/she already seen the video or not right?
Hello, thank you for the answer! Somehow I missed ‘Redirect user to Share page after vote?’ option, now I’ve set it, that’s much better now! As for 2 and 3, I can see it from your point of view, I think you’re right here, but as for me I would prefer to see viewed videos marked in some way. You know, just as visited links are marked in Google. And this leads me to an idea to mark :visited videos via css, it’s easy and no programming is needed, I can manage it I like the plugin. Combined with Social Login plugin it’s a good way to fight cheaters and make registration easy at the same time.
Thank you for a good plugin, I’ve just bought it at last. The environmental video contest “Minute for the Future” is almost to begin. Unfortunately, the plugin has one thing that prevents fair competition – videos from the second page and next pages have much less chance to win than videos on the first page. So two options are needed as soon as possible:
1. Random videos order – every time the contest page is loaded, order of videos changes. So every time(session) the page content is different.
2. Infinite scroll so there wouldn’t be pages at all,just one page.
These two features combined will make competitions much more fair, and thus more interesting for honest users/competitors.

As there is “Random” option for video ordering, for the first needed option it will be enough to make “Random” default ordering option. How to acheive it?

No. For direct upload videos you need a very powerfull server with enormous space for videos, huge connectivity for streaming videos and strong compute power for rendering videos. It is not possible to have for 99.99% of standart wordpress users. It is OK to upload a 4Mb photo to WordPress but video can have 4Gb – 1000x more

I have been using a rival plugin before I discovered yours and I was not convinced to switch. Now I am considering it strongly. I noticed that the video entries do not have preview thumbnails. Is this how the plugin is designed. Are there options to show real thumbnails?
Hello. First thank you. Second, all thumbnails are original preview thumbnails from Youtube, Facebook, Dailymotion or Vimeo. Some of Facebook thumbnails can be wrong, because old videos (like 2 years old) can return error message that image is not exists. I fix that in new version.
