Thanks for showing interest to this application.
1. I do not want to add any 3rd party dependency in this application. But you can add Facebook login.
2. Friend list table is present. it’s feature deactivated on demo. there are no invite or add friend feature. you have to implement this and add those user ids in friend list MySQL table. application will pickup and show them in new message modal list.
3.You can design this application as you like.
4. This application source is open. no encryption is present in final product.
5.Unread message will work only if you have any unread message in left side. it will bring all Unread messages on top of the list.

click on new message icon. Add one (for personal one to one ) or multiple people(for group). Type your message and press send. The system will automatically determine and create appropriate group for you.

the demo site has come with error for 1. getting files (save it to local computer) , has a zero bytes 2. couldn’t upload office extention (xls etc)

how easily we talking here? I am not a coder i need a chat script where users come and can create a room for there people. So far this one just shows every person to signup all in one room and starts a convo any one of them i need a list of many rooms not users for the whole site
Easily is only for that programmer who will customize this script for you. this demo is open for all users but the main system is friend list based messaging(deactivated in demo) . you can also chat with non friends too. just like facebook messenger working process but not with all features facebook messenger currently has. following this, i like, suggestions: allow create groups… and other idea: in the login, allow set ads background like: wetransfer.com, with this option the site generate money ads…! you can redesign the login and make something like wetransfer.com ! ... and a question: can i use this script in a shared server?
Thanks for your suggestions . talk to your hosting provider about root access in shared server ssh terminal and node.js support. if they say, ‘yes, you can install and run node.js application in a custom http/https port’ then you can install it on a shared server. but i will not recommend this
