Hi:
When logged in and in the File Manager, there is no LogOut button displaying. The only way out is to close the browser window.

You use your wordpress site to log in and log out. The filemanager doesnt have its own login/logout feature. It just uses the wordpress user management.

On the www.rmre.com main page is the link to the File Manager and the login link.
If you are not logged in this link will send you to the WP login page If you are Logged in this link will send you direct to the File Manager. (http://docportal.rmre.com/file-repository/)
It works as it should in FireFox browser.
In Chrome browser I get the File Manager page, but it changes to white background and a small window that says “Error” Permission denied.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated

It should be working in chrome too, try disabling all the plugins, there a re few plugins which conflict with filemanager.

It should work in safari if they have the latest versions. There are some issues with safari but it should be quite usable.

I’m just purchased this plugin and am getting an error, “Invalid backend configuration. Readable volumes not available.” I followed the documentation but none of the folders will let me create a shortcode. I deactivated all of the plugins in order to test, but still no results.

I have recently bought this plugin and congratulations to the author. It works perfectly for our purposes. I would appreciate if you can provide me some user manual for our web users. They will have to upload, download, delete files, etc. I am wondering whether you have written a simple and small manual for end-users (not a technical manual, just a manual describing how to upload/download files, using some screenshots, etc).

Hi,
For the end users, it just like windows explorer. You can drag and drop file to upload, right click and open, download, edit or delete files. You can also click on the files and use the top toolbar for all these actions.

You just need to assign yourself a folder. If you are using a front-end shortcode, make sure you are using the right user role to visit that page.

You can only have access to your wordpress installation folder, there is no external ftp option in the filemanager.
How to increase font size and icon size in file manager ? It is very small for large screens.
You can increase the font-size with this css:

I’m using Wordpress/Buddypress, but when I try to use a shortcode to display the file manager for users, the shortcode just injects <HEAD> and whatnot in the middle of the document and I just get “elfinder in not a function” in the console.

Hi RedHawk, I use your file manager and its great, thanks for that work. I have an odd problem with just one user. The tool comes up, but their files or folders do not show. Their account works from another machine, so its not likely the permission settings. What could prevent a particular machine from loading the files in the manager? I’ve already cleared the cache and cookies, and restarted their machine, to no avail. Any thoughts? Could you imagine any software interfering? Using Chrome on a old Windows machine. thanks, – Craig

This can only be a browser issue, you can try disabling addons, or may be try a different clean browser or a fresh install.

What shortcode are you using where you see this error. Make sure you generate the shortcode before using it in the front-end access page.

We are interested in your plugin for our internal site, but would like to know how it handles word docs and other file types. Your demo only has images in it. Does it rely on the individual PC and browser to handle those file type requests, or does it handle it differently?

It relies on PC and browser for these file types, but it does have a google docs feature, which opens a lot of documents in google docs.
