Hello, Unfortunately, we do not have a function to display comment counts in our standard grid builder. You can add it as a custom element to the grid builder as per: https://kb.wpbakery.com/docs/developers-how-tos/adding-custom-shortcode-to-grid-builder/ using a custom template variable.

Hello, The logic to create such element will be to create a custom template variable as depicted on the page link shared previously. This will pull the comments based on the post id. You can then run it through a loop to count them and then output the count. Unfortunately, coding a custom element is beyond our support reach. However, if you are not into PHP, then you can hire a developer who can do so at your end.

I inserted the wpbakery latest posts 2 on the home page and I set text lenght to 200. The text is obviously cut to 200 characters but I would like the last word to remain whole with the points of suspension. Can you suggest me how to do it?

Hello, The latest post is not our standard element. It might be added by the theme or an add-on at your end. If it pulls an excerpt, then you can check this method to specify the number of words for it instead of characters: https://codex.wordpress.org/Plugin_API/Filter_Reference/excerpt_length

Apparently the latest update broke my website – I am seeing this error on page load within Chrome console:
/wp-content/plugins/js_composer/assets/css/js_composer.css?ver=5.4.5 net::ERR_ABORTED
I do not want to purchase an additional support license because YOUR update broke my site. Would be a nice racket – push an update, break peoples sites, then force them to buy a support license to fix it for them. Selling me a problem then asking me to pay to fix it?

How do I get comments to display on a standard page built using Visual Composer? I’ve enabled comments in WordPress and they display fine on pages not built using Visual Composer, but on pages built with Visual Composer they just don’t display. I’m using the Twenty Seventeen theme.

The problem happens in any theme – if you check in the default Twenty Seventeen WordPress theme you’ll see this.

I don’t see anymore in my visual composer the Media Grid feature. I’ve checked with many other sites where I have installed the plugins default from the theme developer but there isn’t any more. I’ve checked also this module from my account (I’ve bought it) in a clean WordPress install but there isn’t any more the Media Grid (please see this reference https://visualmodo.com/build-media-grid-visual-composer/).

Hello, Unfortunately, the custom post styles are not controlled by the page builder. However, you can create a layout in a post type and save it as a template to re-use it on the website.

Hi WPBakery team, there seems to be a bug in the tab element. If you place the portfolio element inside a tab section it shows up but causes a java script error. if you navigate between the tabs back and forth the first tab cannot be activated anymore. I am using wpbakery v 545 as plugin in packaged theme.
Now when creating rows/columns it generates CSS like this:

But this doesn’t seem to work in Safari. It stacks the columns.
Any idea how to solve?

Hello, This is not our standard code. It is most likely added by the theme. Our standard row and column classes have vc_ as a prefix. for eg: .vc_row, .vc_col-md-4, etc.

Hello, Looks like the design option tab at your end is disabled by the theme and hence it cannot be accessed at your end. You can switch onto a default theme like twenty sixteen and then access and re-save it at your end.

I have this with my theme. Can’t find any other way to ask a question so I am doing so on here. I am looking to make a layout with tabs. But inside those tabs I would like a tour like this page – http://www.bestpack.com/carton-sealers/adjustable-manual/msd. I can make a tour outside of the tabs but the tour option doesn’t show up if I try to add it in the tabs. Why not? The version installed is 5.2. Does the newer version allow for it?
Hello, The tour cannot be added inside the tab due to the limitation of WordPress to render similar shortcodes. Also, it is not a good UI practise to add tour in ab or vice versa.
