Bought the item and I’m trying it right now. I’m importing posts from Reddit and it looks like it is working fine for now.
I have two simple needs though: 1) I’d like to remove the “Read More” link (and text) from each imported post. 2) I’d like to remove every other link (but keep the link’s text) from each imported post.

1. Please go to importing rule settings in plugin settings -> click ‘Settings’ for the rule you wish to edit -> from the ‘Generated Post Content’ settings field, remove the %%item_read_more_button%% shortcode -> save settings -> import new posts.
2. To remove all links from content, please go to plugin’s ‘Main Settings’ -> check the ‘Strip All Links From Generated Post Content’ checkbox -> save settings -> import new posts.

About point number 1., I don’t have the %item_read_more_button % shortcode in the ‘Generated Post Content’ settings field. In fact, I only have the %item_content % shortcake there. So I can’t really remove %item_read_more_button % since it’s not already there.

I have a question. I purchased this product to use on my website. Currently we have a very specific set up. We have multiple instances that run the production side. in order to process our work, we do everything in a sandbox environment. Which means I have to install this in the sandbox which is not available to the public via web, which I’ve done. the problem is to get this pushed to the production front end, since we’re using load balanced instances I have to do all my work in a sandbox, then we make an image of that instance, then push it to the production environment so It all comes up in a web facing URL.
Since the reddit app requires callback URLs to set up, I’m a little unsure the best way to proceed to get this activated in a production environment.
Is there anyone I could speak to regarding this configuration? VIA Email would be best. I’d rather find out the best process rather than just winging it and locking things up. I’ve never worked with the reddit API, or obviously this plugin so i’m hoping for some guidance

I have the redditomatic plugin. I use to to pull from reddit and create posts. It was working great then about a week or so ago the script has stopped running automatically. If I go into the settings and tell it to run now it will pull the posts, but it wont run on a schedule anymore. Any ideas what happened?

The plugin should already post to multiple comma separated subreddits. I checked, and for me, it worked.
Please be sure that you don’t have spaces between subreddits (example: subreddit1, subreddit2). Please enter them as follows: subreddit1,subreddit2
The above will be fixed in the next plugin update.
Also, please be sure that you have rights to post in all subreddits that you listed in plugin settigs.
Can you tell me, please, how is your plugin configured right now, so I can check it out?

The “Link Imported Images/Gifs Directly To Their Source” checkbox works only if you published the posts using also my plugin.

Updated the plugin to v1.3.2, added a new checkbox in plugins ‘Posts to Reddit’ menu screen -> ‘Link Reddit Post To First Link In Post Content:’. If you check it, the post on Reddit will be linked to the first URL found in the post’s content that was published on WordPress.

For example there are alot of DOG’s subreddit.

I’m posting several article for several subreddit by schedule on Wordpress. It’s main reason for using shortcode.
Right now, the plugin allows you to post to multiple subreddits if you insert a comma separated list of subreddits in the ‘Subreddits Where To Post’ settings field in the plugin.
For example: dog,dogtraining,dogs
In this way, the posts will be submitted to all subreddits. No shortcode is needed in this case.

You have 2 options for the ‘url’ field. If you check the ‘Link Imported Images/Gifs Dirrectly To Their Source’ checkbox in plugin’s ‘Main Settings’, the plugin will link directly to the imported post’s original Reddit link (but only if the post was autogenerated by Redditomatic). Otherwise it will link to the published post url, from WordPress.
The ‘text’ can be changed from the ‘Reddit Post Message Template’ settings field, from the ‘Posts to Reddit’ plugin menu. Here you can use %% shortcodes to include variable information.

I found the source of the issue. It is a plugin incompatibility. The plugin named ‘Login with Ajax’ was interfering with my plugin’s activity, not letting it to save it’s settings.
I deactivated the plugin and now everything works again.

I have investigated the issue, and to me, it seems that it is cause by a hosting issue.
Do you know if your hosting company made some changes to their configuration recently?
Please contact your hosting support and ask them if your website has modprobe enabled. If yes, ask them to disabled it, to check if it is causing this issue.

i am contacting the hosting company now. They said modprobe is not installed. FYI I already tried disabling all the other plugins and it still does not allow me to save the settings. Is there a way to clean uninstall the plugin so that all the settings are gone, and I’ll try adding them again later? I tried deleting the folder but when i reinstalled it, the settings were already there.

I updated the plugin and it cleans up the database at it’s deactivation.
But the issue is still not solved by this, the 404 page is still displaying.
What I have done since we lastly talked is the following:
I have installed a very old version of my plugin – v1.1 (to check if this issue is caused by a recent plugin update of mine). The issue is still there…
Also, I have got the same 404 error page on rare occasions, in the plugin installation process, in other WordPress admin screens.
I detected that your hosting is running PHP version: 5.4.45.
This is an old version of PHP. Can you update it, please to PHP 5.6, or even better PHP 7? If you don’t know how to do this, please contact your hosting support and they will help you. Maybe this will help solve this issue.
Another option to debug this is to check your wp-config.php file (maybe it contains some misconfigurations), but I don’t have access to it right now, it can be accessed only thru ftp.

Do you require usage of alternate wp_cron? If not, please delete this line from the wp-config.php file and upload it to your server. Maybe it helps.

These issues are because, on your web server, you have active a PHP version that is older than the minimum required by my plugins.
To fix this, you should update your PHP version on your server to PHP 5.6 or to PHP 7. To do so, you must log into your cPanel and edit the PHP version from there. Example link: http://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/website/php/how-to-change-the-php-version-your-account-uses .
If you don’t know how to do this, you should contact your hosting support and ask them to help you with this,
After the version update, the plugins will work.
