Hi! It is possible to show the Buying Guides even in the main category of the shop? When users go in the shop, this is not visible, they need to click in one of the categories, because in “ALL” category this guide is not shown.

alright

Unfortunately I am experiencing the same problems as some time ago.

If I show the guide in the shop, I only see it in the categories, not on the main page (the one that shows all the products of all the categories). I use the Savoy theme. Can you check why?

If instead I use the shortcode on the shop page, the products are displayed twice. If I “hide first” them in the settings, they are hidden both in the part where the shortcode is, and in the “All” category, so on the shop page I would only see the guide banner, the list of categories, and no products. I’d rather use the shortcode. How can I hide products ONLY in the guide, and not in the shop loop?

Please renew your support here first now.

Can`t I have a checkbox instead of just radio buttons behavior? Tks.

Hi there,

currently not. What do you think would be the benefit of this?

Yeah, if there is any benefit, probably it is better the person to use a regular filter plugin. I was just curious, no ready project to use it yet. Thank you very much and congratulations for you plugin. It is really great! :-)

Hello, the bootstrap css are using generical CSS, can you modify to work only in your code? It broke some css of my theme (buyed on themeforest).

If i check “Don’t load Bootstrap”, your plugin don’t works.

We are currently on vacation and come back to your request on 13th of July. Sorry for the inconvenience

I want to say that this problem was fixed, so thanks for your support.

I need to test if my CSS customization still remain after the update, due to changing in some .css classes.

One more question, it is Woocommerce 3.3+ compatible?

Yes it is.

The plugin is making the Woocommerce side of WordPress very slow it takes minutes to load. I’m working on it on a development area. Can someone assist please?

Hi there,

where exactly do the performance issues occur? Is it on the product category pages or in the backend?

Can you add it in a page from the VC product category function?

Hi there,

what is the VC product category function?

Hello, an interesting functionality to add at your plugin to increase your selling is to have a report (like a survey) to analyze the data and the interest of the customers.

There is a way to track the choice and have a report?

Thanks, bye.

Hi there,

the functionality is not implemented, but you could easily set this up via Google Analytics and it’s Event Tracking

Hi there,

a little problem, hope you’ve the answer. The Guide doesn’t appear in the category. When clicking it, it goes back to the root of the domain and not to the guide. It looks like the page doesn’t exist.

Hope you can help me! Thanks.

Hi there,

when the guide does not appear in a product category, where do you click then? May you send a URL of your website to support@db-dzine.com ?

only these 2 menu items are visible after installing

- categories - settings

i installed on german language. maybe thats the issue?

is it necessary to register it in the theme functions.php?

finally t works after de-installing - re-installing. don’t know why ;)

Could you please send us WP-Admin credentials to support@db-dzine.com?

Hi there ive installed but cant see not visible ->> New Buying Guide not visible ->> Categories Settings

Buying Guides

Please let me know Best Alex

Hi there,

what do you mean with cant see not visible?

You have to assign a buying guide to a product category and then it will show up on the product category page.

BR

Continuing from my last error of options not displaying, I am finding the following error:

Notice: Undefined index: type in /public_html/wp-content/plugins/meta-box/inc/meta-box.php on line 321

When I deactivate your plugin it goes away?

Replied to your mail.

I have installed and it is not working as it should. I have products with assigned attributes then created a new buying guide where I have selected that attribute to automatically make options. No matter which way I choose to display the buying guide, the title and sub title comes up for the first question but no options are available to pick? It is just blank under the title?

Hi there,

our plugin checks if attribute values (terms) really have products assigned to them ans ALSO the currenty buying guide category. So for example in product category 1 and attribute XY there must be at least 1 product assigned. Please check this first.

If you are really sure, that there are products assigned like the way above, please send us WP-Admin credentials to support@db-dzine.com and we will help you asap.

Best regards

Hello DB,

I was anxious for you to make the Buyers Guide plugin available and when you did, I purchased it right away. I am a bit concerned though, as there seems to be a conflict or bug that doesn’t allow the guide display function to work correctly. Again, I am building a site using my localhost XAMMP app on an iMac using Chrome as a browser. I have the Shopkeeper theme that uses Visual Composer with a few other plugins, mostly from you.

I just updated the plugin to the latest version 1.0.1

Here is the error message I still get when I go to my product category pages:

Warning: implode(): Invalid arguments passed in /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/sites/amazonnewsite1/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-buying-guide/public/class-woocommerce-buying-guide-public.php on line 523

There error code repeats itself most of the way down the page.

Please help if you can. Otherwise I will most likely be asking for a refund.

Thanks!

Hi there,

for a quick fix you can just turn off WP_DEBUG Display and replace it like this:

define( 'WP_DEBUG', true );
define( 'WP_DEBUG_LOG', true );
define( 'WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false );

In wp-config.php. But we will look into this notice so that it won’t show up in logs ;)

Hello, Bought this plugin now.
Two questions:
1. As I understood it before the buy the guide reduces the options for the customer as he/she goes through the guide. And then shows the remaining products in the end. Is that right? Now that I have installed it and done a light setup I really dont understand how it works. The questions dont seem to take notice of the question before? Is that right? To give you a example:
I sell electronics that both can be 12Volt and 24V, my first question is therefore “What is your prefered Volt?” Answers: 12V and 24V – and listed all 12V prducts as products to that answer and all 24V-products to that answer.
My next question is “What is your preferd size?”
But here I dont understand since the second question dont seem to care what the first
question was. I can list all products – both 12V and 24V. Is it in the end it boils everything down?
2. I get “Sorry, we couldn’t find what you’re looking for.” when I try it, so I cant see how it works… It also changes the resoultion for the entire site.
Would lika a quick respons. Thank you!

Ok, thats make everything much more easier.. ;) But, if I want it to be on the front page and show products from various categories – is that possible?

I have now sent you a e-mail. No need to reply here, Thank you.

Have been waiting for something like this…

However, the WP-Admin Demo Login does not seem to have this plugin available?

Wanted feature-request Rather than having the same questions through ie. 1-5 questions in total. Is it possible to make conditional guides? ie. something like this:

What do you want to use X for? A – Skin B – Hair

Question 2 (depending on first answer): A: SKIN – What is you skin type? A – Dry B – Oily

Question 2: B: HAIR – What is your hair struggle? B – Dry hair B – Dandruff

etc.

Would this somehow be possible?

Hi there,

thanks for informing us. We have fixed the Demo issue, you can now find the buying guides in the Admin Panel :)

Depending questions are currently not supported, but we put this on our development schedule. Same as for automatically creating choices by a specific WooCommerce Attribute.

Best regards DB-Dzine

Hello. Thank you very much for your plugin. But unfortunately it doesn’t seem to work. I have a 404 page error when I try to see the buying guide…

We really would like to figure out the problem with you. Your credentials are save and we will not abuse them in any way.

But, if your policy does not allow it, you can make a request for refund here on CodeCanyon.

Hi yes I am sorry we can’t provide thes information. I will ask for a refund. I am sorry because your plugin was the only one in the market and seemed perfect for us. Have a nice day.

Hi, looks like a great plugin! Is it possible to only show the resulting product(s) after the visitor has clicked through all the questions? In other words, I don’t want the visitor to see all the products below the Buying Guide being filtered out as he clicks through, and want to only show the visitor the one that fits all the criteria. Would that be possible?

Hi there,

not sure what you mean: currently, when you click through the choices you will see the product(s) in the end, that matches the choices.

Or do you want to hide all products right from the beginning?

Best regards DB-Dzine

Sorry I wasn’t clear. Yes, I’d like to hide them all right from the beginning and only show the product(s) that matches the choices in the very end.

Hmm this is not possible right now, because

1) Customers who do not want to use the buying guide, would see no products
2) Bad for SEO, because no products (content) shows up

Anyway if you still want to go this way, you could just add some custom CSS like
.products .product {
display: none;
}

This will hide all products from the beginning :)

hi,can use for RTL Languages?

Hi there,

we have not tested it, but in general it should be no problem!

Best regards

This plugin causes my site to 404

Hi there,

please turn on WP Debug and report the issue to support@db-dzine.com

Please also provide WP-Admin and FTP credentials.

Thanks

What are the criteria for filtering the products?

This is something you have to setup in the backend. So for the choice 20 MP you have to assign the right products to it.

I have over 800 products in the backend. Each product has at least 5 attributes. Handing over everything by hand is only a lot of effort. Unfortunately not for me. Thanks for the quick reply!

No problem, we also look forward to filter by attributes, but this makes the rendering a bit more complex and needs time.
