As the name ‘Embed Any Document’ says, the plugin supports only document files (PDF and Microsoft Office Documents). We do not have plan to support video embedding right now.

HI,I have not been able to configure the plugin for months. I think the installation is too complicated, And should not be available as a simple plug-in to buy for anyone. When I embed a Powerpoint document with links on it, are these links usable? Can I click on those links to go to different slides or I must pass the pages one by one? THANKS!

The links in your PowerPoint files probably will not work within the embed view. You can give it a try using the cloud version of our plugin at embedanydocument.com. If it works there, it will work when you embed.

Hi, if my .pptx files has links in slides will the viewer retain these links? We have a navigation within the PPT where clicking on numbers takes you to respective slides. Do let me know.

i am using embed any document plus for more tahn a year and it works fine. Suddenly after installing ssl certificate to my website so now the domain is https… i cannot embed document from google drive

The issue is, once you have installed the SSL essentially the URL changes. Either you will have to update the URL with ‘https’ in the Google API settings or have to generate a new key.

Hello,
I purchased your Plus version. I have an API setup with Google Drive. I am able to load powerpoint files but when you view it on the website the .pptx file looks like a scrollable PDF? I did have Powerpoint files working correctly before where the viewer would let you move from one slide to the next. Thoughts?

The plugin actually is making use of the document preview services (Google docs viewer and Microsoft Office Online viewer) from Google and Microsoft to embed documents to websites.Unfortunately, the Google viewers do not support .pptx file by default.
Did you try Microsoft Office Viewer? It should be stable and more user-friendly for PowerPoint files.
To save all the troubles, you may host your document in your Google Drive and embed right from there

Thank you for your response. I am hosting the .pptx on Google Drive. When I embed the document it does not allow me the option to choose the Microsoft Office Viewer. If I change the viewer in the shortcode, I get an error.
If I try to add a URL link to the .pptx on Google Drive, again Microsoft Viewer is grayed out and not an option.
Sorry, one more thing…I am able to embed the .pptx file correctly when I add it via a Dropbox connection. We would prefer to use Google Drive.
Hello- was hoping for an answer to my problem. You cannot embed a powerpoint hosted on Google Drive and use the Microsoft Office Online Viewer. The only option for a viewer is Drive. It’s grayed out and you can’t select another option. You can select the Microsoft Viewer when you embed with Dropbox. Thoughts?

I would suggest you to host all your files using Google Drive or Box.com and embed from there. When you host your files on Google Drive or Box.com, the plugin makes use of their native embed option. It will speed up the page.

can it be use for upload document in the user interphase, i mean can i display it on my website as UPLOAD button and if Users click it they will be able to upload document to our website. Pls reply asap

Currently, the plugin does not have an option to add the upload button to anywhere else in the interface. The button will show up only in the visual editor and only the users with required access will be able to upload and embed documents.
But we are considering it as an option for our future update. I will let you know if we make any progress towards it.

Usually, errors show up when the API settings are not configured properly. In that case, please double-check the API configurations with the steps. Make sure you have enabled Drive API and Google Picker API in API Manager. If it’s still not working, try generating a new API key and client ID. We really have little control over how the API reacts. It usually works fine for a second try.
However, since you have tried your best, please create an admin account for us and share the login details. We will check if there is any site-specific issue and get back to you.
