If you go to the site we are building, you will see a dropdown for cities. I want ALL post types (referenced in the screenshot) to be able to be on the city.

So, when people go to Dallas for instance, they see all hotels, restaurants and attractions in Dallas.

Ans : Yes. You can change custom post type. If you keep blank room & food & award on add/edit listing section then it will not appear on listing detail page.

When I added a listing via address lookup it worked great until I moved the marker then it said address cannot be found, is this simply a cosmetic which I can just type over when adding a listing?

Ans : You can add address by autocomplete filed & you can add address by map marker. Map marker is not cosmetic. Map marker needs pin point location. Please try on New York city or London city.

Address lat lng will save when a user save the listing. If it save blank lat lng then the plugin will collect the lat lng by address when it will appear .

Ans : Package access control: It will control for adding a listing.

For Visible Access: Please go wp-admin dashboard > Hotel Listing -> Settings>Visibility Control -> Hide Content By Role Access & select.

Ans : Yes, This is custom post type. You can use any plugin for exporting or importing data.

Thanks fro the reply, to be more specific, I have different listing types, I have Food and drink, Hotels etc.

I want it so that when the user is adding a listing i.e url?profile=new-listing And you have the drop down bar with listing types i.e hotel, bar.

If select the bar when the user adds a listing, to hide the rooms and irrelevant additional options under the map marker on the template. So rooms is hidden but I add a drop speciality dropdown for menu of the day. Possibly with javascript on the dropdown or something.

I’m assuming this info is stored in the database somewhere so the form can submit the data for each listing in the posts table.

Are the rooms, specialities video boxes categories or hard coded options?

I also made a listing type for business, ideally I would like a sub option for business type rather than adding all the different business types as listing types or possibly using the specialities tags as some kind of filter on the front end such as when the user clicks on hotels and sees ones with wifi and the filter is applied to the results.

Sorry to be difficult. I’m just trying to get it right so I can make it works brilliantly for my purpose.

Ah the user roles answers my listing type question thanks, but is it possible to add more ‘Content Show By Roles’ such as a menu of the day so I can tick the user roles to see my custom content?

At first, I thought about it. But I can not fix it for hotel custom post type. Because admin can change the custom post type anytime from wp-admin dashboard.

You need to add php code on package add/edit file.

File location: plugins/hotel-listing/admin/pages/ package_create.php

Good news, I’ve added the additional boxes into the correct templates, to make it save the data and then put it in a new are on the frontend listings page I need a little guidance.

Do I have to add the new fields to an array of any kind or is the data saved automatically from the admin area when the page is updated by reading the fields?

On the add new listing page, which template is that so I can add an additional content area?

On the front end listing view, is that single-listing.php?

Do I need to edit a ivdirectories function for my new content to save and display?
