I would like to change the theme that customers see. I know it says upload a ZIP file but where is the documentation of what can be customised and what files name it should be? It is really confusing. Can you at least give me a blank theme that I could use to customise the customer panel?

From backend > extend > themes, install it in the frontend app, then access your web app to see how things have changed.
Based on this theme, you can then create one for customer area, but please note you need some PHP skills to achieve this.

We don’t have any customer theme, that’s why we gave you the frontend theme, to study it and see how it has ben created in order to create yours. But again, you need some programming experience to achieve this.
One thing, if you have some CSS experience, placing a file named style-custom.css in apps/customer/assets/css will make Mailwizz autoload it and you can place there all the css you wish to make the theme look as you desire.

Yes, that is a personal license for personal use case only for you or for an end customer. For SAAS you need extended licensing

I guess in this case you have to move the customer in another group with a higher sending limit.
There’s no problem even if each customer is in his own group, we have had customers that did this and went just fine

Mailwizz requires only the Email column to exist in your CSV file and it will create the rest of the missing columns if they don’t exist as custom fields in your list, so you should be able to import your file just fine.
Keep in mind that the fact you have both, first and last name in same column, “First name Last name” has nothing to do with mailwizz, it’s just the way your data is structured and you can edit it as you wish.

You’d have to find a host that does offer this. It’s a very basic requirement that 99% of hosts meet. You can also look into VPS’es, they’re pretty cheap nowadays.

You get access to the whole source code and you can do what modifications you need to. We advise modifying Mailwizz via extension and/or themes so that your upgrades will work without issues 
Mailwizz is written using Yii Framework, latest 1.1.x branch and should work on any linux environment that has PHP >= 5.2, MySQL >= 5 and Apache / Nginx web servers.

Yes, this is the reduced price.
We don’t use the Gmail API (no plan for it either), from what i know our customers don’t use gmail/yahoo/live/etc because they tend to block sending very fast thus they are not reliable for bulk mailing. There are other alternatives out there that are perfect for this purpose(SparkPost/MailGun/SendGrid/etc).

I agree with @ricardo3456… read the comments before you buy and bypass this product if you’re looking for a progressive platform because this one is of poor quality. This guy twisted is just that “twisted” and offers no real support. Very condescending replies and misleading comments to keep buyers coming. His idea of expanding this product is asking other developers to do it for him i.e.: the template builder deal that fell through. You can’t sell this as a “own your own email marketing platform” when it looks like it’s from the 90’s. Twisted, if your going to maintain a high selling item on this site… do the work! I too will be contacting Envato, as a big buyer, and asking them to remove this item as useless.

Let’s get into this please and see how much is true, i am, and always was, open to discussions.
You say the platform is of poor quality, what do you mean here, coding wise, the way it looks and behaves? You can’t just throw words without facts, so let me know what you mean.
As for the help/support, i think you’re not telling the truth. Unlike other authors here that compete with mailwizz, i don’t put my customers write reviews for me, or nice comments about me or about mailwizz. My customers come on the forums, ask questions and get help as best i can give. Of course not everyone will be pleased, but we try and there is absolutely no support ticket without answers.
I am condescending sometimes, of course, you’d be the same when answering same question 10 times a day because some people don’t bother to search, but again, you can’t expect me to baby sit you. I am just helping you if you have issues with the app and that’s all.
Looking in the support tickets i see you only have one support ticket which has been answered in a nice matter, not condescending, and i even offered to do something for you so that you can get started easier.
For the template builder, i had put so much work into creating that one which later the author of the JS script it was using decided not to give me permissions to use it, and that’s the reason why it fell through, not because of me but simply because the other author decided to use another approach which would cost my customers money to use the editor, so i declined. I also never advertised the app as having a template builder, so i don’t even know why complaining about it. What i said is that i am going to try to create one.
Related to the design of the app, i see people that complain about it are talking about the old look of the app (i am not sure if you too), but things have changed in last months, we have a new look for the app, which most of our customers like and that represent the foundation for upcoming big changes which already started to rollout. I am aware i can’t please all people, but still.
Last thing, related to the work i put into this, you have no idea how much work it’s been going on to bring mailwizz where it is today. I know it’s still not perfect, no app is, but i know we improve it so much from release to release, and we will continue to do so regardless of bad intended comments like yours.
What i find interesting, about your comment and also about ricardo’s is that you didn’t had the guts to talk to me directly and address your issues directly to me and we could fix whatever you didn’t like, or we could try at least. but anyway…

Have the “guts to talk to you” people have asked for years for you to get the builder up to standard. How much gut does it take to ask the same question for years like most of these buyers have? You talk about condescending replys being the result of people asking the same question over and over… well, we’ve asked the same question over and over for years but your surprised that buyers are getting frustrated. I’d be willing to contribute to you getting the builder up to par. It’s insane that 1. You have a big seller that you don’t move forward 2. It’s a great concept and great work that’s cloaked in old outdated visuals. Anyone who knows the high price of traditional Email Marketing platforms would love this! I’m only asking you to listen to your buyer base and deliver what they collectively want. How is that too much to ask after 3 years of asking?
Also, I own 3 licenses of Mailwizz and I’ve been a user for years. My original purchase was made because of the promise of progression. I care about the project because it’s been instrumental but I hate that you’re not moving it forward. The changes you’ve made are low level when you look at what people are requesting. The builder is destroying this product.
Here’s the thing, it’s not like we didn’t do a thing in this timeframe because we have implemented that many new features and improved the system hugely, you can just check the changelog and see what i am talking about, so we’re really moving forward.
Keep in mind that as you requested the D&D editor, there were customers that requested other features that had greater impact for the whole community and those were the ones that got priority. Check the forums, you’ll see discussions on so many different areas of marketing, i think honestly the D&D editor is the one that pops-out less frequent of all. Really, just check the forums.
Same went for the dreaded base64 embed image issue which got removed and for which is a big fuss for some customers now at the point i am thinking to just make an extension out of it and let people do whatever they want. In the app, we had the feature in place, removing it took me time and effort while not removing it and leave it there would cost me no time and no effort. But still, customers complained, we ran dozen of tests, together with customers as well, and concluded it caused the issues and it’s better to remove it from the app. And after that, you can see ricardo’s comments which i take gladly since i know for sure there are customers that do much better without that feature, and if it’s to get some bad comments for the ultimate good, then be it.
Returning to the D&D, i am not saying a D&D is not needed, it’s just i haven’t had the chance to take a swing at it since my last try which didn’t end nicely because of the other author who didn’t granted the permissions my customers needed, so again i have put my customers first(i could as well require them all to buy a license from the other author and now we wouldn’t have this discussion)
The D&D is still on the road map and i am sure we will have it, but i just am not sure when i can implement it, it’s that simple, and maybe you don’t like this type of answer, but that’s how things are at the moment, i never promised a thing which i couldn’t deliver in the end and i won’t start now. Instead of doing a lousy job with a D&D editor i prefer to get the right chance and do it right.
