I was wondering if it’s possible to send a different attachment to the customer based on product. So, I want the user not only to go to the order page to download it, but he also has to get it by e-mail (product specific attachments). Is that possible (email template: new order / on hold)?
yes it could be done. You can use the Product attachments feature.
By using the Product admin edit page or the Bulk products attachments menu you can assign to each product differents files. In this way the user, according to the purchased products, will be able to download the associated files from the Order details page and from the Downloads tab.
Furthermore those attachments can be attached to the outoging WooCommerce emails according to the order status. To do that, while configuring the product attachment you have just to:
- select the Yes under the Attach file to WooCoommerce outgoing email(s) section
- under the Order status visibility select the statuses you need

Will the attachment also be sent even if it hasn’t been paid yet by the customer? (because that’s exactly what I need; the attachment is a pdf file with travel directions to a course location) (I believe it’s the mail template ‘order on hold’)
No, because It will be visible (and eventually attached to any outgoing email) according the statuses you selected in the Order status visibility section.
So if you want the user to access (and receive via email) the attached file only once he have payed, then you can selected the Completed option.
Try doing a test in the demo site to see if it fits your need! 
hi, i would like to set up a expiring time after 30 days. so i attach a file in my woocommerce orders and the customer have the posiblity to download the file 30 days in his account. where can i set up the 30 days expiring time for this attachment?! PS: it is an indifidual attachment, no product specific attachment/download!
In the current plugin version is not possible to set expiring date for order attachments.

your plugin Attach me is conflicting with the Product page display. When Attach me plugin is active the Products list page does not open (I mean the page when I see all my products). When I deactivate Attach me plugin the Products page does open correctly. Wordpress and all my plugins are updated.
Please let me know how to solve the conflict, as I cannot keep your plugin active.

It sounds quite strange, as you can see from the demo site the Admin products list page is properly working.
It could happen that some 3rd party plugins are interfering making the page to not properly work.
Could you try to update the plugin to the latest 9.0 version? could you also try disabling your 3rd party plugin to see if the Products list page works?
If you are still experiencing the issue after updating the plugin and try disabling the plugin, send me an admin access via private message (click on my name then use the low-right box). I can try doing some live debug to try to figure out what’s wrong in your installation.
Hi, thank you for your immediate answer. Plugin is updated to 9.0. After disabling/enabling all the active plugins, I discovered that the conflicting plugin is WPML Multilingual CMS. I understand that your plugin is normally compatible with WPML. Any idea how to workaround this issue, apart from contacting WPML?
Yes it is compatible with WPML. I have installed it in serveral test envs of mine and the plugin didn’t showed any particular issue.
Which WPML version are you running? if not, could you try updating? Have you installed all the needed WPML plugins (lie WPML Media, WPML String Translation, etc.)? is it the latest 3.6.3 version? Would be possible to have an admin backend access in order to do some live debugging?

Hi – can you please tell me if this plugin will do what I need it to do:
- I sell many different physical products.
- Each physical product has its own unique PDF that needs to be automatically emailed to the customer upon purchase.
- So, the customer receives a PDF automatically, and then the physical product in the mail.
Will this plugin do this? It’s capable of emailing a different file per physical product, automatically?

Also – sometimes I also have the option for customers to choose an item as either a PHYSICAL PRODUCT (which need the PDF email sent automatically, as I wrote above) or a VIRTUAL PRODUCT (which does NOT need the PDF automatically sent.

yes the plugin can do that. For each product you can attach one or more files that can be downloaded in the order details page and/or attached to the outgoing woocommerce emails according the current order status.
To do that you have two ways:
- Bulk products attachments menu: that allows you to bulk configure attachments. You can assing the same attachments to one or more products.
- go to the admin product edit page and using the Attach Me! – products attachments meta box. This will allows you to attach one or more files to the specific product

Update: I just updated WP to the latest version. When I reload a “Product” page in the dashboard for a split-second I see the content in the AttachMe box – but then it disappears, and looks like the screenshot above. Help??
It sounds very strange. As you can see from the demo site (That is upldated with latest version of WP and WC), it properly works.
Few question to try to have some more clues about the causes of the issue:
- Are you using the ACF plugin? if so, can you update to the latest version?
- Can you try disabling one by one your plugins until you find one that is interfering?
- Can you send me a private message reporting your email (click on my name then use the low-right box)? I’ve just released a new plugin version that embends the updated version of ACF that maybe fixes that issue

I’ve got the plugin working, yay! I added two PDF files to a physical product, and upon purchase of the physical product, those PDFs are attached to the “order completed” email – this is perfect. However – I have text that needs to be added to these emails (only added to the emails for products which have files attached with AttachMe). I have added text in a few places in the AttachMe settings, but none of it is working (I’m not seeing my additional text in my “order completed” emails, even though I added it to various places in the settings). Where is the correct place to put this text? Thanks for your help!
Ok, I’m also having the same issue dartwin (right below here) posted – when I go to Dashboard > Products, it takes about 3 full minutes for my list of products to load. It does load eventually, but it’s wayyyyyy too slow. All other pages load fine. Any ideas? Thanks.

for what concerns the Bulk attachments you can configure one (or more) file(s) to be associated to specific a sets of product(s) (by select specific product(s) and/or categories). In your case you can associate for each product the files you need (by both using The bulk menu or by the admin product page)
Once configured, the files will be emailed attaching them in the outgoing woocommerce emails and can be downloaded in the order details page.

The issue you are experiencing is then related to some 3rd party interference. I have to do some analysis of your installation to try to figure out which is the cause.

On the “order Upload Files” It says the file was uploaded succesfully. When I say save changes it says “file deleted succesfully” Problem is there is no file in the “order upload files” section of the My account on the front end. Am I doing something wrong? I am using the latest version of the plugin as far as I know.

The plugin insert a new area called Attachments box by which you can create the order attachment.
Once a file is saved, you should not get any “file deleted successfully” message.

When I select ‘secure download’ to attach a PDF, even when logged I can’t view the item as a PDF. It’s a random file that can’t be read. Same if I download it, it’s just a blank file that I can’t open. Any reason why this is? Thank you
It could be due to a old plugin issue. Which plugin version are you running? it is the latest 8.8 version?
If not, download it from CodeCanyon, deactive and delete the one you have installed in your server and install the new one (don’t worry you won’t lose any setting). Once done can you report me if you are still experiencing the issue?
Hello, just bought and installed your plugin. Been looking for something like this for a wile now so thank you. I have one issue.
When using the “Display image preview (both order and products attachments)” option it show the full size image to my clients. Is there a way to make is show a smaller version?
this is not an issue but it is the normal plugin behaviour. The plugin previews the image using the:
<img />html tag and it doesn’t compress the image before displaying to avoid color distortion or any issue related to image compression.
You can only set the size of the thumb using the General options & texts – > Style -> Thumb width/height.

If you try to upload a doc/docx file, it is properly uploaded without problems.

Hi, i started having problems with attaching fthe same three files to two different tickets. 1. After updating the second ticket, i was unable to get the product page loaded and it keeps giving me a 504 Gateway temeout. If i deactivate WCAM i have no problem loading the product page. 2. I dowloaded the WCAM updated version 8.7 and tried to install it but keep getting Plugin install failed. I have deactivated most other plugins but still no joy with reinstalling update.
Will appreciate if you could help.
Got it sorted, had to extract downloaded zip first to new folder and then used the zip file from that folder. Installed and updated database and now show the bulk attachments without problem.

for what concerns the update, are you insalling the whole package (doc + plugin zip) or just the zip?
Once you have downlaoded the zip file from codecanyon, unzip it and you will find a file called woocommerce-attach-me.zip. That is the one you have to install.

Your plugin si great and excactly what I was looking for.
We need it for sending attachments – proforma invoice – to customers’s email during changing order statuses. This invoices are in .pdf and here is a problem – I attach this .pdf file, mark everything properly under Show/Hide advanced options, but on email is received “damaged” file, with no option of preview, and if you download the file, it says that is unknown file.
The problem is that the file does not have ending (.pdf) > for example, if I upload and send file “inovice.pdf”, on email is only file “invoice” with out ending .pdf, and that is why you can not preview it or open, when it is downloaded.
Btw – if I want to Download / View it in woocommerce under orders, there is no problems and it opens. This situation only happens on emails (I tested in gmail).
Any idea why is this happening?

I’ve just performed some tests on the demo site and it properly works. Maybe your issue could be related to an old plugin version. By the way I’ve just release the 8.7 version that fixes another email issue. for now files link are displayed before the order table and unfortunately WooCommerce doesn’t not expose any other hook to allow 3rd party plugins to render content inside woocommerce emails higher that that position.
Note: if you are using the 8.6 version please update the plugin to the latest 8.7 because it has an issue with the email link embedding (it doesn’t work). It will be ready to download in 3 – 4 days (CodeCanyon approval system takes awhile to approve new updates), however if you send me a private message (click on my name then use the low-right box) I can send you the update via email!

Hello! I need a plugin that the buyer uploads a photo and this file became visible in his account page or order page, and them the admin can download this photo to do some modifications in his computer, and them the admin uploads this photo again in the order, and the buyer has to have a way to approve the photo or do some comments for the admin edit the photo again and upload again until the client say that is approved and ok! Do you have a plugin with all this features? Or i would have to use this plugin and the “WooCommerce Upload Files” together? they work fine together? thanks!!

yes to achieve what you need I would suggest to use both the plugins. They can be used together without problems.
WooCommerce Upload Files allows the user to upload a file (or more) from the order page. So The admin can retrieve the uploaded file(s) from the admin order page and modify it.
Once done, using the WooCommerce Attach me, can attach it to the order enabling the option to allow the customer to approve/reject it. In this way you can re-edit the file and re-attach until the client is happy

1) There is an issue with the order page link [wcam_order_page_link]
When received on iPhone or Mac Mail, the link generated is:
x-webdoc://FA1D950A-485A-4E75-A0CC-7348AD728065/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php?view-order=2064
which doesn’t work.
2) When uploading PDF’s, the file extension disappears, both in download file, and when attached to e-mail.
I think that both issue are caused by a misconfiguration of your server or PHP rather than the plugin.
For what concerns the pdf extension, as you can also test in the demo site, you can properly attach any .pdf and its extension never disappears.
Which plugin version are you running? can you try to update to the latest 8.6 version that you can download from the plugin page?
For what concerns the [wcam_order_page_link], the link is generated by the server independently from the user email client. Can you try doing a test in the demo site to see if you experience the same issue with your email client?

Unfortunately you should ask that plugin developer if they have support to the metadata that my plugin stores into the order
However I don’t think they are supporting my plugin meta data.
The attachment metadata is stored in a single filed called _wcam_attachments_meta as a serialized array. It contains all the info about the file name, file url, file path and other options (like feedback settings, notification settings, etc.).
It can be exported with any exporting tool. To make it human readable you can copy&paste the content in an unserializer tool like: http://www.unserialize.me/
Hi, when I am trying to download the attachment on the order page I get the message that I have to log in. “You have to be logged for that kind of request.” Is there any possibility to disable the enforcement to be logged in?
Unfortunately it cannot be done. For security reasons the user who is trying to download an attachment for a specific order has to be logged in order the plug in to verify if he is the owner of that order.

to attach an order attachment to the WooCommerce outgoing emails, you have just to click on the Show/Hide advanced options button and then on the Email attachments section, select to which email type the file has to be attached.
Note: if the file is to big (like more 15mb) some email provider could not deliver the email to the recipient (like gmail, outlook, etc.)

that kind of feature requires much work because the plugin is not designed to render all orders attachments in a single page. So some features (like feedback posting) could give some issues if attachements of different orders are rendered in the same page. Furthermore it would require also some pagination.
However I’ll try to implement in a future release, but I cannot give you any eta. In case I’ll let you know! 
Meanwhile, good news. I’ve released the new 8.5 version that implements the new “View Attachments” button on orders list.
The button is only displayed if the order has at least 1 visible attachments and the button text can be customized in the plugin text menu.
