Hello, I’m having some issues with a video not stopping at the end. Im using The Agency theme, and it has to do with the popup video. It stays in a loop even after you close the window. We are having trouble with the file browser for Slider Revolution – Magento version 1.9.2.4.
After lots of testing we have narrowed it down to the security patch SUPEE-8788. Before the patch, we have “Upload Files” and “Browse Files” buttons to upload new images. But immediately after the patch, these buttons disappear.
Tested with Slider v5.2.6.1 and v5.2.6.3.
Any ideas?

In recent update we changed upload functions to work with upload feature implemented in Magento 1.9.3 version. To keep it compatible with 1.9.2 and lower layout handles are assigned dynamically depending of Magento version.
Observer that takes care of adding appropriate handles could be overridden by other extension. In this case upload feature will fail to load appropriate source files. I think this is related to problem with upload you have.
To solve it you can replace admin layout update xml file with layout update files created specially for Magento version. It not depends of observer and should solve your problem.
To apply please replace this file with file located in one of attachments.
/app/design/adminhtml/default/default/layout/nwdthemes/nwdrevslider.xml

Hi, after installing the extension and registering it – if i go to add an image, there is no browse button on the media upload folder.
For reference, I’m using Magento ver. 1.9.0.1 slider version 5.2.6.3. I tried the patch you suggested for 1.9.2 a couple of weeks ago for another person, but this didn’t solve it.

There could be a conflict with observer that sets correct uploader script depending of version. If some other extension overrides it this can lead to missing uploader controls.
You can try to use admin layout with uploader set to use 1.9 file upload scripts:

It is hard to say what you are doing wrong. So we are asking you to provide admin credentials for your store. This way we can check your slider live and create a link

- 1 I keep getting updates from evato market for the slider for magento it keeps saying its 5.2 but i see from your site you have 5.3 something. I will never purchase again from evato simply not happy with it.
2 We still have no idea how to update by your suggesting that its easy and we need to copy files over the top of our site files. There are so many files with in the files you say to do this on we have no idea where they all go.
3 in magento its quit buggy to get things lined up and in synch and many times things do not appear. Perhaps the 5.3 would be better getting it upgraded to that in magento i have no idea if that is possible.

In this update version was not updated in configs accidentally. But the code in this package is correct. All changes included in this version are present in this package. It is only shows incorrect version.
Today we will submit new version 5.2.6.3. It will have correct version and be available on CodeCanyon today/tomorrow. Once it will be approved and available you will receive notification from Envato.

Navigation Tab not working…
So first I tried importing the “Media Carousel Autoplay” from the Template Library. And when I viewed the page all Im seeing are these parameters instead of the slide – https://imagebin.ca/v/3002fTrppNI4
Next I tried adding Tabs into one of my own slides and Im also getting a similar issue. The slide is not showing.

i have used this slider in 3 of my websites and in every website this slider is the only thing which loads with very much delay always. i thought its problem with my site so i installed in on plenty of other websites to test and same issue . it will never instantly load when you open the webiste page , i need this issue fixed

Are you using latest version ( 5.2.6.x ) ? If not – try to update. Latest version has some performance improvements.
In the most case not the loading of the plugin, or starting of the plugin is slow but the images, and captions you use in it. Sometimes good image optimisation makes wonder.

Hi NWD, we purchased the Revolution Slider for Magento. Works great. I have a question however: in our agency we work with several people on this project where we use the Revolution slider. All developers work with local copies of the website on their machine. But we only have one license code. We also have a staging and live environment. So we maybe have like 6 different installations for the same one project/website. Is it possible to make the Revolution slider work on all installations?

Unfortunately there is a no way to register one code for several projects. The normal regular license terms: a regular for each project/domain (2 for 2 projects, 3 for 3 …)
You can either use purchase code on a single installation or deregister / register it for different installations or purchase more licenses.

Point 2 error comes from your server – https://revolution.themepunch.com/wordpress-twitter-feed/ It appears you are using a js method that chrome intends to remove, so is breaking in some versions already. You need to stop using navigator.pointerEnabled in your code.

I just installed the extension following the instructions provided in the documentation. No errors were thrown in any of the steps or when deploying the static content. However when I go to the Extension admin I get 404 errors on a lot of files which cause javascript errors. When I click register product nothing happens. If I try to create a new slider It won’t save. (I’m guessing because of all the missing files). I SSH into the box. All permissions are set correctly and these files are actually missing.

Sounds like this is problem with including css and js slider assets.
This could be because of missing some of that files while uploading extension.
Or there was something wrong when installing it. But if you followed all steps (upload, setup upgrade, content deploy, cache clean) this should not be the case.
Another reason could be browser cache. We have seen some cases when content deployed correctly but browser still uses outdated cached assets. Please try to clean it to verify.
If this will not help please give more details about your setup: Magento version, mode (default, developer, production).
Or you can give us Backend and SSH access to dev server and we will solve problem with install for you. You can send it to nwdthemes@gmail.com

We cleared both the browser cache and the Magento cache and no luck.
I checked the upload record for the extension and all files were uploaded correctly.
Like I said in my initial comment the installing of the extension didn’t through an error.
Magento Setup:
Rev Slider Extension: revslider_package_v5_2_6_2 Magento Version: 2.1.1 Mode: Developer Mode
I did a search on the package we downloaded and the missing files are not there. FYI.
We’ll provide credentials to the server shortly.
All required files are in the package.
I.e.

Magento copy it to /pub/static folder during extension installation.
Try to clear the pub/static directory of all files except .htaccess (which is a hidden file). Enter the following command in ssh console:rm -R pub/static/*php bin/magento setup:static-content:deployOr we can wait for the credentials and check it.
We have a multiple stores (with different language). How can we place different store URL for a banner (for each page, our URL is different for each language) ?
Using Magento1 I have multiple issues, for one I can’t import without geting can’t find slider_export.txt file, which is in the root of the zip file, I checked everthing. and nothing seems to work.
Then I tried to create a new slider and when I click on slide editor nothing happens, stays on the settings page, and the slide doesn’t save, I can save it but it’s not in the slide listing. Thank you.
Also I should note that when I try to choose an image for say a background the media window says this directory isn’t writable when it’s permsions are 777 and the images done’t show, thanks.

This is a clients site and I can’t really give that information out. From what I can see the correct directories have not been created for this stuff to work, can you give an idea of what directories the plugin needs to import a slider and what directories are need to upload images to a slider? Thank you.
I debugged the issue and the $d_path variable does not contain the filename of the zip file so the directory being searched for the files is …/rstemp/ and it should be …/rstemp/<filename>, not sure how to get that filename in there, probably needs to be in the wp_filesystem object somewhere to capture and return that?

Both should be writable for webserver user.
Also during upload it tries to create /media/rstemp. Usually media folder allow to create directories since it also keep generated css / js files.
Please check that webserver user can create directories in /media folder.
Those two directories are there and working fine, for magento to upload images though that wysiwyg directory has to be there, even though the root for a plugin is elsewhere. Thanks for the info.
I was monitoring that process on the server and the zip file was getting extracted to the directory rstemp/<slidername>/, and the program was searching for files in /rstemp, all directories and files where being extracted just fine, the program was searching in the wrong directory for the import files. This is a definate bug in the 1.9 version anyway. Like I said once I changed your code to look in the right directory it worked fine.

Did you update extension code? It generate wrong ID for slider elements and as a result you get two sliders with ID = discover
Please roll back your changes and sliders will work ok
I think you didn’t understand what i’m trying to explain. When I have put the two slides ID in the same field, one was on top of another and not below, as it should be
