Randomly when I add a layer to a slide (doesn’t matter the type) it adds about 50 click actions to the layer. Some layers have it and some don’t, I can’t seem to find a coloration.

I imagine this isn’t very efficient for page load etc, it also takes forever to delete them all.

Hi

This is very strange issue. We not forced something like this before. Can you please send us access details to nwdthemes@gmail.com so we can investigate and solve it.

Or you can send us exported slider with this actions added and we’ll take a look at it too.

Thanks a lot,

Cheers from your Team @ NWDthemes

Many layers have this, but I found when I duplicate a button, it always does it.

Hi

This could be related to bug we discovered recently. Script was accidentally adding prototype.js methods to layer parameters. And it was triggering javascript error on slide save or new layer creation. Please apply this patch with recent fixes that will be included in new version release shortly.

http://nwdthemes.com/files/rs-m1-5262-b08.zip

It should fix this problem. If problem persists please send us Magento admin access with permissions for Slider Revolution to nwdthemes@gmail.com and we will debug issue there.

I had a situation where I was building out a slider over several days. Then I went into the slider and all my layers were deleted. Nothing was on the time line or in the drop down.

Any idea how this could/would happen. I wasn’t doing anything fancy.

This is a bug found recently that related to conflict with prototype.js library. Slider script accidentally adds its methods as slide layers properties. It causes problems with create, save and duplicate layers.

We fixed this bug and this bugfix will be included in next update released shortly. Now you can solve it by applying this patch:

http://nwdthemes.com/files/rs-m1-5262-b08.zip

It will solve this and some other minor issues discovered in this version.

Thank you I’ve “patched” the extension, however it still has the same issue.

For example, add a button to a slide, then click on “actions”. Now duplicate that button. If I do this it adds 30 or so blank actions to the button.

We have submitted an update for Slider Revolution. You will receive a letter when it will be approved. Please try to install it. It should fix the issue.

If that does not help please provide admin / ftp credentials to nwdthemes@gmail.com . We will check the issue monday morning.

Hello, we were using an old theme and replaced it with your newest extension. The images are not able to display full width and the text overlapped and had to have line space fixed.

How would we change the image to full screen. Is it in your extension or back-end code?

Thanks,

Hi

1. Try to Refresh cache ( System > Cache management ). If you are using any 3rd-party cache extensions– try to refresh cache there.

2. You can set full width / full screen mode in slider settings – http://nwdthemes.com/docs/slider_revolution/docs/slider-setup.html#slidelayout

Thanks NWD. I’ve recently updated to the latest version. I’m not sure If it’s the update that’s caused the problem as I’ve only just started to to use the slider. I’m not sure If its me, (user error) or issue with extension. If I import sliders, they seem to work ok. I’m having issues with creating new ones and editing imported.

Please provide admin / ftp credentials to nwdthemes@gmail.com . We will check the issue.

Hello,

I’m using the magento version of Revolution Slider. I created a default slide and I want when I click on this slide to be redirected on a specific Product ID in a specific category ID. Because I use multi-stores with 2 languages, I can’t use a simple URL… Even if I looking for the solution on your doc and google, I find no answer…

Can you help me please ?

Hi

You can create separate slides for each store, Just define Store View in slide “General Settings” http://prntscr.com/cpb82n

Hi, Im having trouble saving after editing a template. It takes a while and then i get “Ajax Error”

Any ideas?

Makis

Hi Makis

Usually it can be security extension like mod_security or suhosin. One of its rules finds something in post with slide data that gives false positive treat alert and blocks request.

You can check their logs for details which rule is triggering it. And then disable this rule or add exception for slider editor url.

Thanks a lot,

It was mod_security issue as you said. Thank you NWD

Glad you manage to resolve it. Let me know if I can help you further!

I just upgraded to version 5.2.6 version. During the installation everything went fine.

Now, when I try to disable a single slide in the slider, by clicking on disable red button on that slide, although the button shows as disabled the slide still show’s up on the slider on my website.

Please not that I have done this on the previous version and worked but for some reason on the new version it is not working.

Thanks.

Hi

Did you try to refresh cache ( System > Cache management ) ? If you are using any 3rd-party cache extensions flush cache there also.

Thanks a lot,

Hi, I’m using plugin for first time. I’m having trouble with saving an edited template. I then downloaded and installed latest update to try and rectify problem. I now cannot enter into edit pages or downloaded any other templates. Please help me.

Hi

Please do not post sensitive information like admin credentials in public comments!

Try to disable magento developer mode. It will hide notice errors. There is a missing value definition check there. But this error was triggered possibly by problem with fetching templates information on install. And warnings should be gone after template shop update. Please try to update it to see if it will work.

We will add appropriate checks to make sure this not happens in next updates too.

We’re seeing a problem that only occurs in Chrome running on Windows. The slider fails to load when when loading page assets from the browser cache. Performing a hard reload of the page resolves the issue. The slider works fine in all other browser and Chrome on varies flavor of *nix.

Here is the error from the browser console: Uncaught TypeError: this._each is not a function

Hi

Please update prototype to 1.7.3 and it fix the issue. js/prototype/prototype.js

Hi

1. Here is a sample slider with gradient – http://nwdthemes.com/files/gradient.zip

You will find example of slider background as gradient and layer background as gradient

To use gradient on slide background do following:

  • create slide
  • choose “transparent” as background
  • switch to “Link & Seo” tab and add unique class to the slide ( i.e “red-gradient” )
  • save slide
  • go to slider settings and add gradient CSS to your slider’s Custom CSS section
  • note that each gradient rule end with !important to override default slider classes

To use gradient on slide layer do following:

  • create layer, i.e. shape layer
  • switch to “Attributes” tab and add unique class to the layer( i.e “blue-gradient” )
  • save slide
  • go to slider settings and add gradient CSS to your slider’s Custom CSS section

2. Can we take a look on your site live? Please provide a link. Or you can send it to nwdthemes@gmail.com if you want to keep it private

Hello.

We installed the program on our test server to test it, and now we installed on our live website, but the autentication code w’ont work. Please reset the code. the test domain, where we activated the code: http://dockyard.test7.oander.hu/

live server, where we want to use it: dockyard.hu

Thanks, Csongor

Hello,

I am having problems displaying multiple sliders on one page.

When I place the slider shortcodes onto the page within the backend and then go to view the page, only one slider displays. Could you please advise me on how to fix this or if this is an issue at my end?

Thanks.

Hi

Try to update to the latest version. It should fix the issue.

Best practice is to install it on development server first to test new update. If you do not have development version – do files / database backup before install. After that
  • disable cache ( System > Cache management )
  • turn off css / js merge ( System > Configuration > Developer )
  • disable compilation ( System > Tools > Compilation ) if you are using it
  • copy files from latest package over the existing files
  • log out and login again to admin

Thanks a lot,

Hello, I am having problems with the revolution slider text position. I renewed support so that this can be corrected.

You will see if you look at the site, you will see that the text is lining up to the left side of the slider. It should be on the center of the slider. I need to get this text position and make sure animation works correctly.

Based on conversation on your forum, it appears as though we are having a conflict with the CSS on the magento template.

Please have a look at this and see about getting it repaired for me ASAP.

Thanks Mike

Hi Mike

Please do not post sensitive information like ftp / admin credentials in public comments!

Regarding your issue: /public_html/skin/frontend/default/theme655/css/custom.css contain css rules that overrride slider styles. I have commented out these styles.

Please check the slider. Let me know if I can help you further!

Hi, good morning.

I’m having problems with my site when it is in mobile version. In this print (https://snag.gy/7TriqP.jpg), it is not showing the slide I did and put like “midia”, to remain permanent. But it appears in the desktop version, you can see it in this link: http://printfoods.com.br/

Hope I can explain you well, sorry about my weak english.

Best regards

Hi

1. Check if slider disabled on mobile. Slider Settings > Layout & Visual > Mobile ( located in right column )
http://nwdthemes.com/docs/slider_revolution/docs/layout-visual.html#mobile

2. Check that slide is not hidden on mobile. Slide edit page > General Settings.
http://nwdthemes.com/docs/slider_revolution/docs/slide-general-settings.html

3. Refresh cache ( System > Cache management ) . If you are using any 3rd-party cache extensions – flush cache there.

Thanks a lot,

Hi there,

We have recently installed an SSL certificate on the website, however when you go to the site now, none of the background images are showing, as they are pulling the URL of the image from https and because of that they aren’t showing the image. If you use inspect element to remove the https from the source of the image it shows.

How do I change it so slider revolution ignores the https and instead just pulls from the directory pub/media/revslider

Thank you

Ah, I have found uploading the images into a different folder helped. Sorry about that!

Glad it is working. Let me know if I can help you further!

Hello, I purchased the Magento version of Slider Revolution. Looks very powerful! But, I am working on my first slider and adding several layers of text. I have moved them to the location I like on the slider and added animation. When i preview the slider within Slider Revolution, it looks and functions. When I add the slider to my home page and preview live, all of these text lines are all the way to the left of the slider with a very small several pixel margin. They are not in the proper position when live, but are good in preview. What the heck is up??

Our extension (and any other custom extension) isn’t compatible with all third-party themes by default. Sometimes (not always) need to customize the extension to make it work properly with your theme. It’s impossible for extension author to make the extension compatible with all existing themes. Only default Magento theme is compatible with all extensions, because all extensions are designed to work with default Magento theme and it is assumed that other themes follow magento design principles.

We do help our customers with resolving such issues. But it takes time to debug the issue, since there is no common cases. Different authors develop their themes in different ways.

Regarding your case:

1. Does your theme comes with the bundled slider? If yes – it might contain css files that override slider styles. Try to disable them.

2. One way to debug it is to disable theme css files one by one until the issue is resolved. After that check css file rules which might affect slider.

3. Another way is to debug it using Chrome developer console ( press F12 to open it ). It allow you to track css rules applied to each element.

I have extended the support on this as I need it to get it repaired and fully operational ASAP. What is the next step to providing you login details so you can have a look at what is the conflict with this template?

Please provide admin / ftp credentials to nwdthemes@gmail.com . We will debug the issue.

Is it possible to have unlimited height on a single slider? I’m trying to set up a slider with several images. For example, on the desktop/notebook view I would have 8 images in a grid. For an iPad/iPhone/etc… I would like to have a list view where each of the 8 images takes up an entire screen and as you scroll down you would see each successive images. I know this is possible through multiple sliders but that would mean I would have to somehow filter it out so that the slider I want only shows up on mobile. Thanks for the help!

Hi

Unfortunately it is impossible to implement this functionality in single slider.

Thanks a lot,
