Agreed the simple search is missing from mobile responsive pages. The advanced search is confusing.
Does your system update actors that are already imported in the system to make sure their local bio pages are current and included the latest filmography data. Example. if I go to a old movie and all actors are imported at that time and 1 year from now an actor is in a new movie and it is imported locally will any actor bios/profiles locally be updated at that time to show current filmography?

Yes, actors as well as everything else are automatically updated periodically.
As for search bar, it’s removed on small screens currently if there’s not enough space.
hello, i have a bug, i did scrap movies but only the title is created i have to go to title in admin click on the one that have no info and click import now for it to be filed up.. problem is that i have 3000 movies.. is there a way to import data for all of my movies from 1 click or commande ? please let me know update the 3000 movies would take me weeks, thank you

Full information will be fetched once some one visits that movies or series page for performance reasons. Or you can do it from dashboard > actions page, using ‘fully scrape’ panel.
hello, thanks for the reply an i have to say this is a great script, good job !! Here is the thing, when i visit the page it doesnt scrape it, i get the message : Whoops, looks like something went wrong. and when i click fully scrape i get same message “Whoops, looks like something went wrong.” even if i do only fully scrape 50. I did look in the error_log and i see this message : [19-Aug-2016 20:21:12 EET] PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function filter() on a non-object in /home/sites/public_html/mysite/app/lib/Repositories/Data/ImdbData.php on line 670 Any idea what it could be ? please let me know, thanks

You can add links to your own videos, there’s no functionality to upload them currently though. You can upload and add covers from dashboard.
Regarding the buy button, you can change the text easily, changing the link would require some custom modifications.

I would like to know : When you create a new film with imdb id automatically create the release date, the actors, the film synopsis ect ..
That’s fine, but if that were clicked “actor” it displays the details and in movies where he played and automatically adds in “movies”.
What bothers me ..
I wish when visitors click on the name of the actor, film where some will to play is not automatically added to “movies” because I do not have the ties of films for streaming.
I know it is possible to manually remove a movie but if 500 viewers clicks 2-3 actors and it automatically adds the movies without me the links .. its going to be difficult.

You can set data provider to ‘local’ from settings page, that way you will still be able to import movies by IMDb id from dashboard, but it will not automatically fetch actors filmography.

Comments and reviews are different things, but you can easily disable comments from dashboard if you want.

If you look in the demo dashboard at the reviews section, there are a few issues: 1. You cannot see the end of user reviews to delete them. 2. Searching by user doesn’t work 3. It would be nice to know what movie each user was reviewing.

You can assign movies to category from dashboard > categories page.
If you mean genres, then you can change those when editing specific movie or series from dashboard.

Search is on the top bar (next to menu icon and page name), when using mobile.
When I try to scrape titles from year 2010-2016, with minimum votes 100, rating 2, and max movies to scrap : 100 , i get this error “Failed to scrape. Most likely search returned no results. Try to make your query less restrictive.”. I’ve my website hosted on my own VPS. Help me resolve this issue. I’ve purchased this item from some other account and I don’t remember the password, so made this account just to ask for support/

2. It can either be fetched automatically or created manually.
3. Yes, but it would require a small modification. Or streaming plugin which has this feature by default.

Actor creation is indeed disabled on demo site.
Regarding the guide, yes, there’s a documentation included with MTDb.
As for embed, you can use any url there, not necessarily youtube.

2. It’s just on demo site, normally it’s only visible to admin.
3. Not sure I understand the question, can you clarify a bit please?
4. No coding knowledge is needed, you just need to create/edit a movie from dashboard and enter the url to your video.
5. We’ve no ETA for it at the moment.
