Have just purchased the plugin, but I need to only display posts based on certain categories – how do I manage that?
Guys the only instructions you have with this plugin is add [dw-glossary] – how to I assign posts etc to the glossary….its not working for me?
At the moment, the plugin does not support to only display posts based on certain categories. Just added the Glossary and use the [dw-glossary] shortcode to show all the glossary, you can not assign posts.
Are there no supports for widgets?

I just purchased the plugin but I can not use it. I already install it in 2 different sites and it still does not work. When I try to see the glossary it marks me error 404. I hope they can help me

How can I change glossary slug within url?
At the moment, you can not change the “glossary” word in the permalink.
You must be joking? I understand its not given in settings as option but at least changing the code it could be changed, am I wrong? I changed within code the slug url but now the 404 page shows up when glossary word clicked.
I solved it, my page slug which I used for glossary page and given slug for glossary detail page was same I changed it now it works

Hello! Congrats for the plugin, is fixes a missing core feature from Wordpress.
It’s possible to inject args in the shortcode? It would be much more flexible for instance, I could create custom views on any template by inject for instance [shortcodename tax=”places” id=”spain” onlyroot=”no” onlychildren=”yes”]
With this kind of args I could list for instante mysite.com/countries and use your shortcode like this [shortcode tax=”places” onlyroot=”yes”] and the mysite.com/countries/spain and use your shortcode like [shortcode tax=”places” id=”13” onlychildren=”yes” and I could list for instance all Spain cities (all child terms from the term spain) and create a very pleasant navigation structure.

I am looking to create a alphabet index for posts currently on my site for a particular category as one category I have has 52,000 posts. will this plugin do that or does it not work with existing posts?
oh actually nevermind about above question I read you can use Wp all import so thats fine.
one question I do have though is the glossary seo friendly like can you add seo titles and descriptions and will it show up in google search?

Our plugin supports 2 custom taxonomies dw-glossary_category and dw-glossary_tag.
You can import via WP import. WordPress will now import your custom post type data. All the custom post types you selected earlier will be imported. WordPress will also automatically add terms to the custom taxonomies.
Cool I bought it, did an import and it’s working fine. Question: On the glossary page is it possible to have it default to not showing the list of terms until you start typing? So you see just a search box and the A-Z? Then when you start to type they show up as normally. Because I have a VERY large terms database and the page is huge.

is it possible to remove /glossary/ slug from the plugin?
I know what you want, But the plugin does not support to change or remove it. However, we are planning to update this plugin and discussing to make an option to allow change or remove it in the plugin setting.

Hi there, another problem I have had overnight is that the plugin causes a critical error and prevents me from logging into wordpress. I have spent 6 hours debugging and troubleshooting to work out that I needed to rename the dw-glossary plugin folder to force the plugin to deactivate. This finally let me log in. Can you please advise me what the problem is, I am so far very disappointed with these issues.

hi, three questions about the plugin – 1. is it possible to change (easily) the design of the screens (colors, fonts, general way of look) ? 2. how do you enter the new terms/words? is there a screen for that or do you need to create a new taxonomy / category? 3. do you support RTL ?

1/ Yes, you can very easily change the design, color, font (about the style). If you want, you can let me know the position that you want to change and What do you want to change? I will help you.
2/ You can add it via back-end of the plugin. 3/ At the moment, the plugin does not fully compatible with the RTL. However, if you want, I can help you resolve it after you owned the plugin.
