Does this work with current version of wordpress/woocommerce?
Hi there,
Yes it does. Although some users have reported a few minor issues that we’re currently looking into. If you come across any issues though, we’ll get the sorted.
Great plugin, I am wondering if it’s possible to insert some text/content when a filter is selected?
It would be very good practice to dynamicly insert keyword specific elements…otherwise the created longtail pages will be thin content.
Hi there,
Already in the works! Next update will include a way to change/add to the category description based on what filters are selected.
Dear Ninjas,
Could you please answer the question we send you last week?
We have installed your SEO WOOCOMMERCE plugin. The meta description we added is working correctly. However the meta title is not working according to plan.
We have disabled the Yoast plugin, so that shouldn’t be the problem, but we do not know how to proceed and make the plugin work according to what was promised: meta title optimisation for our filter.
Can you please help us?
Thank you in advance.
Gr.
Hi there,
Replied to your email. Please email us using the account that purchased the plugin and we can provide support.
Thanks
Hi, we have installed this plugin like explained in your description and disabled the Yoast plugin, but we don’t get the page headers like mentioned and expected when using the filter. This was the reason that we bought this plugin. Any idea how to solve this?
Hi, could you please reply to my question, we are in hurry. Also I noticed that when enable Global Category Meta Settings, it’s slowdown the website. Loading in the categories with the layered nav takes about 30 sec…... this is not normal
Hi there,
Let me know what version of Wordpress/Woocommerce your using so i can try and replicate the issue. Also, how many filters do you have active in your store?
I just replied on your email
CAN YOU PLEASE REPLY ON MY EMAILS….THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT!! I HAVE INSTALLED THIS PLUGIN BUT IT DOESN’T WORK LIKE IT SHOULD AND MEANWHILE I HAVE LOST MY GOOGLE 1ST PAGE POSITION. DISABLING IS NO OPTION, BECAUSE I CAN’T START FROM 0 AGAIN.
We are using woocommerce Version: 2.4.12 We have disabled yoast and still without succes, beside of that, the website became terrible slow
Hi there,
Just letting you know that we have replied to your email.
Pre-sales question: Does this plugin work with the most current version of Wordpress and Woocommerce?
Hi there,
Yes it does. We’ve done a quick test and haven’t come across any issues and none of or users have notified of anything yet. If you come across any problems well look into them ASAP
When will this be able to remove /product/ as well as /product-category/ please? I want to move my site from Magento to WooCommerce.
Hi there,
It something we’re working on. Removing the product base causes all sorts of problems so we’re trying to find a solution that works without any issues.
Hello, I am interested about this plugin. I would like to ask you if I can setup also keywords for every product? Thank you
Hi there,
Do you mean the meta keywords tag? If so, then no, the plugin doesn’t include it. Its widely regarded that the tag isn’t used/read by search engines any more so we’ve decided to leave it out.
It seems your demo is not working
Apologies, just moving servers. Should be up a running now.
HI
Where can I see a demo of the plugin in action?
Does this resolve the page 404 issue with the product category base the same as shop base?
Hi there,
Demo can be seen here: http://demo.codeninjas.co/woocommerce-seo
I don’t know what issue your talking about regarding the product-category base and shop base. If your setting the shop base and the product category base to be the same then it won’t resolve the issues you get with that.
Hi,
It’s really great plugin.. i only have 2 question.
1. How to reset the filter, after it has been choosen? I saw (x) button on your demo pages, but it doesn’t work.
2. The filter is not related with the stock of product variation, e.g. i have xl size, that already sold out, but it’s still shown on filter. Is this possible to fix?
Regards,
Hi there,
1) Clicking on the filter again should remove it.
2) Wasn’t aware of this. Let me look into it and i’ll get back to you.
I can not see demo. This Account has been suspended. Contact your hosting provider for more information.
Hi there, We’re just moving servers. I’ll let you know once we’re back up.
Whats the latest update. Mine is currently version 1.1.5
Hi there,
Thats the latest stable release. There is a beta version being tested at the moment though.
Hi there
Can you tell me if I can achive this with the plugin?
Category base is /products-page/cat1/ /products-page/cat2/ and so on.
Product base is: /products-page/product1/ /products-page/product2/ and so on.
In my Woocommerce I can have only one of the two above as /products-page/ but not both at the same time, or they just 404 all product when I do so.
Best Pedro
Hi there,
Thats not going to work because when you browse to a product page Wordpress is looking for a category that name the name of the product. And vice versa. The plugin won’t handle a situation like this either.
Thanks, this is the current setup with wp-ecommerce, that I cannot replicate in Woocommerce and will be a major SEO headache, so the issue is only with Woocommerce and not Wordpress itself. Correct?
Its not necessarily an issue with either. Its just how Wordpress has been designed to work. Basically, when you browse to a URL, Wordpress needs to match that ‘pretty’ URL to a corresponding ‘ugly’ one so that it knows what to display on the page. As soon as Wordpress finds a match in its URL database, it stops looking and displays the page that its found.
Since your product and category bases are the same, when you browse to a product URL, Wordpress is probably coming across the category match first, in which case it stops looking (so doesn’t find the product match at all) and tries to display the page by looking for a category that has the name of the product.
Theres is a workaround that could be put in place to work around this but that would need to be coded manually.
Hope that helps
Thanks for that I just sent you reply in private.
Hi, Yoast SEO just did an update and when I updated, none of my urls worked. I tried re saving categories, but nothing seemed to work, except to uncheck the take out product-category in your settings. I didn’t want to do this, so I deactivated Yoast and all works okay. I would like to reactivate Yoast again, though. Do you have any idea what is causing this or have you heard anything about this issue? Thanks so much!
Hi there,
Nope. Your the first to mention anything. Resaving the categories won’t refresh the permalink though. Go to Settings -> Permalinks and just click save. That will force a refresh. Let me know if it works.
Okay, I ended up reactivating Yoast and that seemed to fix it, but I also went in and reserved the Permalinks. Thanks!
Hey there,
I hope all is well. Any idea on the update release date?
Hi,
Sorry, i’m unable to give a time frame. As you can imagine, if something urgent comes up, plugin development needs to be put on hold, as has been the case for the past few weeks. I’m hoping soon (its been delayed long enough!).
Hello i have a problem with plugin. The error in wp-admin is:
Warning: Attempt to assign property of non-object in /home/fenccgmnv/public_html/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-seo/classes/update.class.php on line 214
Warning: Attempt to assign property of non-object in /home/fenccgmnv/public_html/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-seo/classes/update.class.php on line 215
Warning: Attempt to assign property of non-object in /home/fenccgmnv/public_html/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-seo/classes/update.class.php on line 218
Is this error appearing on every page? Or just when activating the plugin?
It appears on each page
What version of Wordpress, Woocommerce and Woocommerce SEO are you running?
Feature request: Having a character counter for the title and description on the SEO tab within the product data page would add the perfect touch to this plug-in. Nothing fancy, just count characters.
Hi there,
Noted. Will add something for the next update. Thanks.
Pre-sales question. Can you limit the amount of characters auto-generated for the meta-description output? Your demo seems to suggest yes but I can not find a definitive answer.
Its doesn’t strip the meta description and will output it as is. Reason being that even though the search engines will only show X characters they might read/store the whole thing.
That makes sense. I’m really just using it as a meaningful place holder until I can hand edit anyway. Your automatic page title generation looks to be quite powerful. Think I’ll buy this. Thanks for making it reasonably priced.
No problem
I want to change the Custom Titles to Products when I add them, how do I do this?
When you create a product, go to the SEO tab in the Products Data panel and add you meta title in there.
It works and then it stops working, it works and then after some few days it stop, page not found. Just like the previous one, Can make you loose sales. Take this off the market!
Hi there,
This issue was fixed. What version of the plugin are you running?
