PHP 5.6 should be more than perfect. Including my main server for testing runs that version. I made also a lot of tests on Windows/Linux distributions.
I will love to help you, if your server uses an improper configuration I have to take a look into it.

You can review stores/coupons/products and reviews before publishing.
About local stores you can fill only these information: address/location, if it sells online, website and hours.
It has google maps integrated, including with pin location for local stores.
It has theme system and widgets. New themes .. soon.
No ! on mobile phones you can’t view printable coupons .. the reason is simple, you can’t print them from a mobile phone.

Great thing’s abut using your smartphone, you don’t have to print. Customers just need to show the coupon at at their local store on their phone.
Please allow coupons on phone… I think it’s a good idea.

Yes, cj api plugin has already integrated tracking links. This is the only addon for affiliate networks, in future will be more. Sales from cj.com can be reviewed from admin panel, and administrators should give points manualy.
How rewards work? You add some rewards … gifts or everything and put a ‘price’ on it. If an user have that number of points (‘price’) he can claim that reward.

An user can add a store and then he will become ‘store owner’ and he can add/edit products and coupons for this store.
He can add more than one store, for every store that he add, he has to pay a fee. It is free to edit stores. Any other service is not free.
Google maps is integrated.

have you tried running this at digitalocean? do u have customers using digitalocean?
With digitalocean you can use the latest software, so it should be a better solution than other servers. Hosting companies still provide old versions of PHP (for example) and you can’t do anything to upgrade it.
I tested Couponscms on digitalocean, was actually one of my 4 test servers. I’m also a freelancer and I used it for many times for my clients.
You don’t have to know commands to upload the script, you can login via SSH/FTP.

Yes, it works with godaddy’s hosting services. Try to import coupons from an affiliate network, if they allow you to download coupons in csv. If you are using cj.com affiliate network you can use our plugin.

Default images should not be broken, check your website url in Settings -> General -> Site URL. Make sure your website url is exactly like in the address bar.
If your website is example.com then write http://example.com and not something else.

The theme has only a CSS file, it can be found in content/themes/Default/style.css
Or via admin panel, Theme -> Editor -> style.css
But please do not edit anything yet, probably is from the software that you used to decompress the archive. But what is for sure, all images are broken, and not only images.

Well, you did it great until now. But login to cj.com and apply to some stores/merchants. If your website is about “hosting coupons” then apply to all hosting companies on cj.com (just an advice). If they approve your application, then you will see these in your account on CouponsCMS.
This is the first step, login to cj.com, choose merchants and apply to their programs.

I can change these colours for you, don’t worry about that.
If you have a logo, replace this one with yours. This is the easiest way to replace it.
Logo is in content/themes/Default/images

Probably in your language file is a fatal error, I mean you probably forgot a quotation mark or a semicolon. These can create fatal errors and yes, everything can “disappear” if you have turned off errors.
BUT, you haven’t lost anything ! Go to your script in includes/user_plugins/French and send me the php file from inside at surugiu.daniel@gmail.com
I will take a look and I will tell your where the error is. I will also repair it and update your language file with the latest version.

However I have found and corrected the syntax problem. I made a new “clean” installation. The translation has not bugged. As against the file translates a portion of text and terms of the site. There are hundreds of words and terms to change the source code FILES (css, js, php …) It is a very long task … It takes several tens of hours to find the elements translate (and translate).
It is also necessary to modify the dates (in France it is “d / m / y”), change the direction of presentation of the currency (”$” starts before the amount, but it’s the opposite in Europe you already know)
I think I’m still discovering things along by advancing in this work …
As for safety: how to protect “admin” folder renaming it? I tried but it causes redirect problems when I rename this folder.

From a “language file” you can translate the entire CMS. Including the forms in front-end.
Nothing should be translated in js or css as how I remember right now.
Talking about themes, themes belong to users and can’t be translated from the same file because users may create new themes with new words or phrases. At least this is how I was thinking when I created it. Plus, people can be confused if they trying to edit their themes because of too many code.
About the admin directory, of course you can rename it !
But don’t forgot to open settings.php and change:
define(‘ADMINDIR’, ‘admin’);
with:
define(‘ADMINDIR’, ‘your_directory’);
I really believe that CouponsCMS 4 has already a lot of options and features, from now I’ll do my best to create a well documentation for this script because I see people that need more information about how to modify the default settings and their interest really makes me happy.
