When a donation is in product mode and is deleted in cart page, plugin does not clear cookie and user is stuck with previous donation amount when product page is selected again.

Very good, thank you. Nice to have language strings also. This is a good plugin.

A bug : When a user delete the donation in the cart page he/she can’t donate anymore and it says you have donation in your cart !

Hi,

I have installed your plugin but for some reason when I try and assign the donation product I can only see 5 items in the drop down and my shop has around 100 products.

I have created a donations product with no price, tax is turned off site wide and it has no shipping class but this isnt visible either.

Any ideas?

Sam

Hello Since the plugin dont have any dropdown , can you clarify to which dropdown you are talking about ?

Regards

You mention that donations can be shown as a usual woocommerce product or on the “cart.” I have the donation showing in the cart. How do I add a donation as a usual woocommerce product?

Hi Set the catalog visibility to catalog or catalog/search as you can see here http://i.imgur.com/W4RqHJr.jpg

How can I use donation as a normal product ?

Hi There is bug when user doesn’t donate nothing in cart page plugin add a link in checkout page but it hides banks to select .

Hi, I just purchased the item. I want to have a Donation link on the homepage that will take them to a page (it is fine if it is the checkout page) where they can enter the donation amount.I cannot seem to be able to do this. If I make the link go directly to the product, that page says “Donation added . Check it on the cart page”. However, nothing is added to the cart. Also, if I go to the checkout page when there are no products in the cart it just redirects back to the empty cart page. The empty cart page contains no option for adding donation.

It is thinking there is a donation in the cart when there isn’t. If I add a donation, go to the cart, remove the donation, go back to the donation form it says “Donation added. Check it on the cart page”. It still thinks woocommerce->session->ok_donation exists? What is wrong?

I fixed it by adding these lines in several spots in the plugin:

if(!ok_donation_exists()){ unset($woocommerce->session->ok_donation); }

Fixed on new release

Hello, if a buyer don’t want donate, is it possible to disable donation? At the moment you have to donate to checkout. Thank you

Hello , the plugin doesnt force donation Maybe there is some plugin/theme thats conflicting/removing hooks or filter. Try with default WP/Woocommerce

Hello,

I’ve been using this plugin for awhile and it’s been great for us. I just ran into a bit of a hangup however. I installed WooCommerce One Page Checkout and I’m now getting an error on the page I’d like to use it on. Is there anything that can be done to fix this:

Warning: in_array() expects parameter 2 to be array, null given in /home/ugandan/www/www/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce_donations_on_cart/woocommerce_donations_on_cart.php on line 296

Hello Seem that some other plugin/theme option is removing required variables. Try with a simple checkout (not with one page checkout ) and let me know how it goes

Hello! Just purchased your donation plugin and it appears to be operational, but it looks like I have run into a snag. Our site uses table rate shipping. So for example, if I donate 100.00 to a $15 order the shipping jacks up from 4.00 to 12.00 because of the table rates. I have the product set as virtual. Should that also exclude it from the table rates, or is another fix needed?

Hi Yes make the donation as virtual , non taxable , non shippable and exclude from the table rate shipping

Is there an answer to the question asked by __

When this plugin is activated, clicking the “proceed to checkout” button on the cart page just links back to the cart page… it does not go to checkout. When deactivating the plugin, that button links to the checkout as it should. Any way you can fix this? The additional issue that does not work is ‘update cart’ when this plugin is activated

I have the exact same issue. I am using the latest version of Woocommerce & Avada.

Please delete/disable all other plugins/themes. Check your error logs ( turn debug on ) this might help you find where you are having problems.

Hello,

Is there any way to shut off donations on the cart?

I only want donations to be an individual product.

Is it possible to add a couple of gift aid checkboxes when adding a donation?

I inherited a wordpress site with the donation plugin for woocommerce. Since the last update to both WP and WC something strange has been happening to our donation page. Previously, when selecting and adding a donation to cart, even from the products embedded in the WP page, the user was taken directly to the checkout page.

Since the latest update, that no longer works. At least not in page where we embedded “one time donation” and a Subscription Donation” products. Now when I select and amount and click on “donate” (Add to cart) nothing happens, the donation doesn’t even look like it was added to the cart, but it is there. Needless to say, this is disconcerting to our donors.

Even more bizarrely, both donation product work just fine if I access them through the cart. Then they work as they should.

This is the donation page: https://supportourtroops.org/donate/

These are the direct links to the products in that page but accessed from the cart:

https://supportourtroops.org/product/recurring-donation/ https://supportourtroops.org/product/one-time-donation

We are currently working on this, so there is no telling what you may see if you try those pages after I post this, but unless we fix it, we will try to keep it as is as much as we can.

We are losing easily $400 a day in donations because of this. Donors add to cart, but then they get lost as it looks like nothing happened. I added a direct link to the donation page hoping to at least lose fewer donations, but I’d love to make it work back the way it did before.

One more thing: If I am logged in WP after donating I can see the default alert below the menu that I have added a product to cart and the relative “view cart” button. But if I donate without first logging in, nothing at all happens as I described.

Wrong plugin . Thats not my plugin :)

You are right. We were actually able to fix the donation page. The error is someplace else. For the record, what was breaking our donation page was the addition of a reciprocal “linked products” between the 2 donation products. One of them was being included in the donation page and messed up the page code, creating the issue. After removing the linked products from each donation product things went back to normal.

Hi, Will this plugin work for VARIABLE products? I’m trying to list categories. Thanks

Hi This plugin can work as a simple product or as a field on the cart page . Its not related to existing product

Let me know if you have any other question

Is there a way for someone to make a donation without purchasing anything else AND choosing the amount they want to donate by typing in the number rather than selecting from a dropdown?

Hi Yes its possible and there isnt any dropdown on this plugin

Hi, We have setup and configured the donation plugin correctly as it was working fine. But now we’re having some issues with the plugin on the cart page. This plugin doesn’t allow the buyers to go to the checkout page from the cart page if we don’t add a value to the donation.

I have disabled the plugin and then I was able to proceed to checkout page.

Then in a second test I enabled this plugin and added $1 and I was able to checkout page.

Once I removed the donation amount from the cart I was not able to checkout. Any idea how this issue can be resolved. Please see the following link: http://screencast.com/t/g9N2M3oCdojd

Thanks!

Charmaine

Hello What you have setup since you said it was working fine ?

Regards

Hi, The only change is that we have applied a new theme called “AVADA” from Themeforest. Thanks, Charmaine

I am interested in the plugin but have a concern about being able to change the default “Add a donation to your order” text. I’d like to add my vote to those looking for this feature to be added (not via PO/MO files).

Hello , we just submitted an updated version that has options for translating the text and we are waiting for Codecanyon staff to approve it .

Added as a feature. Thanks

Can I use the Donate plugin to pay an Invoice instead? Instead of a customer donating a certain amount, I want them to be able to enter an Invoice amount and make a reference to the invoice number as a field. Example: John Smith wants to pay his $100 Invoice #12345 on our website. Could this plugin do that? If so, this would greatly benefit MANY WooCommerce users because online invoice payment seems to be a “gap”. Thanks!

Hi

Yes, you/them can use the order notes for the invoice number and then check manually the order notes for the new order

Regards

Sounds promising. Your sample preview shows the client buying something (a CD) and adding a donation. In my scenario, a client wouldn’t be buying another product. They would simply choose to “Pay Invoice” and they would enter the amount of the invoice they are paying on the Cart page. Can you confirm?

On the changelog of the plugin http://prntscr.com/8b8ji7 we added those features some weeks ago

Regards
