I installed the gift registry plugin and setup a test. The link on product pages does not add products to the gift registry. Please can you help?

I’m having the same issue others have reported where nothing happens when the Add to Registry link is clicked. In the console, I noticed a couple of 404s:
The plugin directory/folder name (as delivered) is not “woocommerce-gift-registry”, it’s “magenest-woocommerce-gift-registry.v2.2”. So two solutions here: change the name of the plugin directory after it’s uploaded, before it’s activated, to “woocommerce-gift-registry”. The other is to change the url in the plugin. Obviously the latter could be over written by any update.
For the Developers: Wordpress has a handy function that gets the plugin directory name for you. In woocommerce-gift-registry.php on line 32 you have:
define ('GIFTREGISTRY_URL', plugins_url ( 'woocommerce-gift-registry', 'woocommerce-gift-registry.php' ) );
This essentially hard codes the plugin directory name as “woocommerce-gift-registry”.
If you change it to:
define ('GIFTREGISTRY_URL', plugin_dir_url ( __FILE__ ) );
it will get your plugin directory name for you.
A few other bugs I’ve found (I’ve eliminated other plugins or themes as a cause of these bugs):
When adding items to the registry, it also adds them to the cart.
Options for variable products are not saved to the registry.
Quantity is not saved to the registry.
CSS styling is off in some views. “margin-left: 100px!important;” inline on an element won’t work with all themes and can’t be overridden without JS. An option to turn off styles would be nice, then the theme styles can be used.

How do I set the add-gift-registry accordion to collapse when the My Account page is first loaded? It makes it hard to see the actual gift registry since it’s at the bottom of the page.

Hello, I just installed the plugin but it does not work:
1. I create gift registry
2. I signed up with the previously registered user and password
3. I am not allowed to add products. I entered the product to buy it and clicked on “Add to gift registry”, but it does not work (in the URL it only appears the symbol #)
Because it does not work?

I’ve installed and setup the plugin. There are a few things that need to be changed. When you create a new gift registry, I don’t need the Co-Registrant, event or upload image as an option for the customer to select. Just Title, Name, Email, Role and password! Also once a gift registry is created, you go to a product and try to add it to your registry, it does not add. The registry stays empty! All WordPress, woocomerce and theme are up to date. The site is https://www.sensoryoasisforkids.com.au. Can you please tell me what to do to get your plugin up and running as I need it to be.

Hi guys, I would like a refund for this product if possible. There is just way too many bugs and I need this to be perfect in 3 days:
- When you first install it, the folder name is wrong, and has to be renamed to work so all the links work.
- The add to gift registry button is not aligned nicely on all the pages making it look unprofessional.
- The layout is all messed up and doesn’t fit nice with our themes. All the column titles overlap etc.
- When a gift registry is created and you search for it and you click Buy on an item, the Cart is not viewable on the right hand side unless you go to Cart so users do not they have added it to the cart and can buy.
- The button BUY is misleading it should be add to cart.
- When an Item has been bought and the quantity is 0 it still allows users to buy (add to cart) the product again.
- The format of the emails do not use the templated version of WooCommerce emails so there is no branding or anything again making it look super unprofessional.

Hi, I didn’t saw this at documentation and I have to ask before buying:
1) Is it possible to the store admin full edit a gift registry? To add and delete products?
2) When someone buy a product from a gift registry list, the product is auto-deleted from that gift registry? Or it needs to be deleted manually?
3) How the store admin will know that the product bought was from a specific gift registry? At the moment I’m using the Woo Wishlist as a gift registry (not perfect for this, but helps) and at it, every product bought from a wishlist get and extra description “from SOME wishlist”.
