Hi Guys, Nice work!

Can I have a question please, I would like to customize the subject sent to my email, like: General Enquiry: <email>. in this case, google will put emails with the same subject together which are from the same email address. Now it put all emails together, kinda make it little bit messy.

Thank you, Sylar

Hello Sylar,

Thank you! Please open the w8-contact-form.php and edit on line 930:

if ( isset( $_REQUEST[ 'subject' ] ) ) {
    $subject = strip_tags( $_REQUEST[ 'subject' ] );
}

Change it to:

if ( isset( $_REQUEST[ 'subject' ] ) ) {
    $subject = strip_tags( $_REQUEST[ 'subject' ] ) . ": " . $semail;
}

Pantherius

Thank you Pantherius,

Maybe later on you may make it a build-in feature so that it is configurable and will not be revoked during update, also it will give customers more control of the email template. Just like your Auto-Reply template.

Thank you for the quick response.

You’re very welcome!

Just added it to my TODO list for further consideration.

Hi Guys,

When I click the icon via IPhone 6 – Chrome, it does not display properly when the keyboard pop up. The content of form disapears, it turns blank.

BTW, my friend access via LG G3 – Chrome, it looks OK.

Thank you Sylar

Hello Sylar,

Could you check the Chrome version number on both devices, please?

Best regards,
Pantherius

Sorry I reply yesterday with my gmail via mobile, seems not went through

Mine: 53.0.2758.109 His: 53.0.2785.124

Just checked these versions here and it seems to be yours wasn’t a stable release since it is not listed in the Android Chrome Version History. But I found his version in the list, that is the latest one.

Could you update your Chrome, delete the browser local storage (cache) then check it again, please?

Hi Me again,

Regarding your Auto-reply feature

I have found your code line 1047

if ( $pc->email . ’@’ . $pc->emaildomain $remail && ( $pc->name $subject || $pc->name == ”” ) ) {

this part $pc->email . ’@’ . $pc->emaildomain not work properly.

When we save contacts, in your js function save_contacts()

you can see contactdatas += ‘email contactdatas += ‘emaildomain

it seems that email and emaildomain will be set the same value, and I confirmed that after I check database with select * from wp_options where option_name = ‘setting_contacts’

in this case, the condition above will not work, and BTW both email and emaildomain return full email address.

I think it is better to check with some kind of ID instead of “To” email, it seems there may send more than one auto-reply emails in case of the same email is used by multiple contacts. And guess that :D, I create 1 more contact with the same email, it said “failed” but email did sent out, but no reply. After I change the email of the new contact, still no reply.

I updated my file $pc->email . ’@’ . $pc->emaildomain $remail -> $pc->email $remail to make it work for now, currently I only have one contact and I use global auto-reply.

Thank you

Hello,

The bug caused by one of the latest feature, that allows comma separated list of emails in the contacts.

Thank you so much for letting me know, just fixed and will be released in the next 48 hours.

Adding multiple contacts with the same email address doesn’t makes sense, it is the reason the plugin using the email address as unique ID. My aims to minimize the database usage as much as possible with this plugin to keep the best performance, therefore the current method seems to be the best solution at the moment.
Certainly, I’ll considering your suggestion, thanks again!

Hello, any chance of adding “date field” in the code without breaking the style? Can you guide little bit please as i really need couple of date fields and i didn’t even check it before purchase because basicaly all contact forms have it by default.

Hello,

Just added it to my TODO list for further consideration. Hopefully, it will be added in the next release.

Regards,
Pantherius

In addition to name and email, can the phone number field also be added?

Hello,

You can add custom fields to the form with your own texts.

Pantherius

Hi, pre-purchase question:

I’m searching the form plugin that has the option to add or remove input fields like here: http://demos.codexworld.com/add-remove-input-fields-dynamically-using-jquery/

Also i need the datepicker.

Is this possible with your plugin? Thank you in advance.

Hello,

However, you can add various custom fields, including text input, textarea, radio button, checkbox and hidden field, you can’t add datepicker at the moment.

I registered for your support forum, but have not received the email with password. I have just started creating another website at: www.businessinsuranceconsulting.com, using WP TwentySeventeen. All my browsers are current. I placed a video in the Header Video using Customizer and using a YouTube link within the theme customizer. Video worked within all three tested browsers (IE11, Chrome & Firefox…all up-to-date). I liked your W8 Contact Form & purchased it.

Now the video will only play in IE11. If I disable your “Background Animation”, then video plays in a 3 browsers.I notice that you have a field “Background Animation Target” that asks me to specify the Target DIV, if there is a theme/plugin conflict.

Is this the solution? If so, I have no idea what to type into this field. Your assistance is welcomed.

It doesn’t related with the theme, it is related with the plugin, that add the video content.

Please send me your website admin URL with login details via my profile page mail sender and I’m happy to check it.

Regards,
Pantherius

I just sent you the WP credentials via your profile email address. Thank you!

Thanks, just replied.

The issue was caused by a typo with the .site-content-contain class, that has been contains some HTML characters under the Style admin menu.

Regards,
Pantherius

I still cannot get background animation to work on any of the 3 browsers. I am currently trying “Perspective Right” which I liked in your demo. It appears that only the default move right works.

Thanks for your quick responses. I hope we can get this resolved, because I like your plugin.

Just checked it and it works well in all 3 browsers. Please make sure, you cleared all cache in your browser and on your site.

Scroll down to the content, then click on the Contact Form icon to see. As I mentioned, the video excluded in the animation, because it doesn’t work when it moved to another place. It can be resolved by the video player’s author.

Alternatively, you can try out other video players since as you can see the slider on the demo page works well.

If you have any other issues or you have a question, feel free to email me!

Pantherius

All looks very good. Thank you!

BTW, I never received the email from your Plugin Support Forum. When I tried to reapply to your forum, I got a message indicating that my name/email was already registered.for this plugin. Can you please send me a password, so I can use the forum?

Also, am I understanding that your plugin will not automatically notify me to update within WordPress admin? Rather I will need to uninstall and then install updates?

Your support has been awesome! I like your plugin.

Great to hear that, you’re welcome!

Just sent you the new password by email.

Usually, the premium plugins from CodeCanyon can’t be updated automatically like the free ones since it is doesn’t stored on wordpress.org
If you set to get a notification in your Downloads page on CodeCanyon, you will be notified via email, when a new version has been released. Then simply download the new ZIP file and upload to the Update page under the W8 Contact Form admin navigation menu. Just follow the on-screen information to update the plugin. (few clicks)

Thanks for the kind words, really appreciate it!

hello: i am a buyer. Where do i set up the plugin to show the pull down icon from the different departments?

Hello,

You can simply add them in the Contacts under the W8 Contact Form admin navigation menu.

Find the detailed instructions in the documentation here.

Best regards,
Pantherius

Hello, I want to trigger different recipients based off a dropdown menu selection. Is that possible? For example, they select support and it goes to support email address or they select sales and it goes to sales address. Thank you!

Hello,

The plugin exactly for this purpose. You can add your own contacts with their name and email address, then the visitors will be able to select the recipients with the default drop-down select.

See the example on the demo site here: http://contactform.pantherius.com

Best regards,

pre buy question Here I saw Popup and Embed Modes but can you show me demo. thanks

No, there is no popup mode in the plugin. It can slide in or embed to the page/post.

Pantherius

Thanks. You see I was looking to for Survey or Poll plugin and one of your servey Modal Survey does not have radio button and text box. I wanted to use w8-contact for the poll or simple signup.

You’re welcome!

That’s not true since the default answers act like a radio button and the survey plugin also provides the option to add text input as an answer.

Hello! Tell me where to find the short code?

That’s not a bug. The H2 element used for the icon only, that can be hidden or replaced.

Regards,
Pantherius

How to fix it tag span?

Could you send me your website URL via my profile page mail sender to see why it is causing any issue for you?

Hi,

I am looking for a Contact form plugin which I can use on Slider revolution on my WP site. I tried Contact form 7 and few other plugins but they are not working properly on Slider revolution slides. Does this plugin W8 Contact Form works on slider revolution? I need my answer fast please as I am looking for urgent help.

Thanks

Hello,

The plugin doesn’t support and tested using it via shortcode inside a slider at the moment. It is mostly depends on the slider plugin you using. If it is accepts the WordPress default shortcodes, then it should work with any plugin.

Regards,
Pantherius

does it support bcc?

Hello,

You can specify comma separated email list as recipient and it used as CC.

Regards,
Pantherius

not bcc?

You can change this one character in the code, then it will be BCC.

Hi. PPQ: Only reason why I am looking for a contact plug-in is my problems getting the Contact Form 7 to work with Country-selection and Time-zone selection.

Also, if a user is logged in, I want to automatically fetch the already exisiting data, so the user wont have to type it in twice. Is that something you also support?

Thanks

Peter

Hello,

No, the plugin doesn’t fetch the user’s details automatically. It is not a feature at the moment.

If you are still interested, could you specify your question regarding to the Country and Time-Zone selection?

Pantherius

Hi. Your Demo always gives failed when sent

Hello,

Just checked it and works well for me. Did you try it on the home page?

Regards,
Pantherius

On Homepage and other pages. This time I tried from http://contactform.pantherius.com/math-captcha/, still gives failed. Also, when I only type four letters (test) on message field, it behaves something like “required” field; won’t send when button is clicked.

I need to change the envelope icon with something that I will create later. I suspect that can be easy to do, right?

I most likely will download this plugin. But I think you need a nicer loading when we click the send button. for now I only see loading like Contact Form 7.

One other thing: Can we add or delete fields?

Thanks

That’s really weird, because it works well for me on that link as well.

Yes, it is a feature, there is a minimal character length for the message field.

Sure, you can simply upload your own icon on the admin area. The send button using animated gif, that can be replaced in the plugin’s folder.

This is the default contact form, you can add more fields, but can’t delete the default ones.

Pantherius
