Another nice one, this would be good for my client. Going to show it to her, she’s not tech savvy and this would save her from emailing me constantly.
We are glad that our plugin is useful to you and your clients!
Hello Webcraft, does this plugin detect my theme’s shortcode’s and visual composer’s shortcodes?
http://themeforest.net/item/newspaper/5489609 http://codecanyon.net/item/visual-composer-page-builder-for-wordpress/242431Hi, Sorry for the late reply!
It detects all shortcodes that are registered with WordPress, including third-party ones.
Cheers
Hi. Will this work with plugin shortcodes like Visual Composer? Thanks
Hello,
Sorry but I haven’t tested it with Visual Composer. I’m not sure how exactly it works, but you will have access to third-party shortcodes, no matter which plugin adds them.

Hello,
I would like to know if besides adding existing shortcodes, there’s the function to create ours, save, and then use it with it?
Regards,
Alex
Yep, check out the video.
Great idea!
I wonder how this works together with the many ways, that theme authors use to integrate shortcodes into the editor themself. Does it detect all shortcodes automatically? Do you have a method to hide existing shortcode editor buttons, when having this button?
Anyway, really well thought out UI.
Thanks, Bernhard
Hi Bernhard,
This plugin detects shortcodes in a few ways:
1) All shortcodes that are registered in your wordpress installation – from plugins and theme. This is provided with a native WP function, nothing hacky. 2) When you save a post or a page it detects all shortcodes that you used in it and adds them to the “Recent” list of the plugin window. 3) When you insert a shortcode from the plugin window it will also add it to the “Recent” list.
Also, I’m not hiding any buttons from the editor, I’m just adding one for this plugin.
Cheers
Thanks
