When option Ajaxify Content is switched on, sorting doesn’t work properly, which is also reflected in the browser address bar.
E.g. the ‘set_orderby’ string gets remove when changing the sort order:
?set_order=asc&set_orderby=title => ?&set_order=desc
Can you please provide your site url where you have implemented the plugin, so that I can take a look and check. If there’s a bug in the plugin, I will fix it in next release.
Thanks for your swift response.
It’s a local dev install so you can’t get access.
I might have a closer look myself and let you know. Otherwise I will get back to you once accessible.
Hello, I have a pre-purchase question.
Is it possible to move all filters to a sidebar rather than having them above the grid? So have them stacked above one another in the sidebar.
Unfortunately, this isn’t really possible within the plugin, however, you can position the filters using css absolute position.
Hey there, great plugin. I’m using visual composer inside my posts that I display with this plugin. How can I enable Visual Composer to work inside the ajax preview window?
currently if I have VC elements in my post, the preview screen returns those as unprocessed shortcodes. For ex: “vc_row“
Can you please get in touch with us via contact form on our codecanyon profile page? So that we can help you to get the things sorted.
Hi Just sent you an email.

Before I purchase this plugin, I would like to know if it supports the option of filtering for more than one category of post. For example, if I have a post categorized as “Computer Literacy” and “For Teachers”, and another post with only “For Teachers” as a category, is it possible to select only posts that have BOTH categories? The current VC post grid won’t do this, and we’ve been really struggling with a solution.
Yes, We have an option to set the filter selection to set for checkboxes which you can use to select filters with more than one category.
When you set the filters, just set the filter type to checkboxes and you’re all set.
I hope this will help you. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us via contact form on our codecanyon profile page.
Hi. A little confused by the Visual Composer plugin, I’ve been using many different filters / grids, but where is the option to set the number of columns to use? e.g. the samples on your demo site use 3 columns. I tried this with default post types and custom. An additional issue with the custom post types is that the initial selection using a drop down list is blank, there is no “all” selection which would be more intuitive. Perhaps I am missing this setting too. Other than that there are some layout / alignment issues but it would be good to know how to get the column display working with a masonry grid over 3 columns and set a default selection (e.g. “all”) in the drop down filter lists on custom posts. Thanks!
The columns are auto calculated depends on the number of custom taxonomies you have. Can you please contact us with your site details via contact form on our codecanyon profile page? so that we can check.
The All option isn’t available as the default, none is selected, so all posts are automatically displayed.
For the layout / alignments issues, we will look into the site and will provide you the solution for that.
I’m trying to find a plugin where I can set 3 main category-groups with multiple categories in it. So the users sees a grid of posts and can filter these posts in 3 individual layers.
Example: a bunch of recipes:
Filter 1: Moment (breakfast, lunch, dinner, ect.)
Filter 2: Ingredient (onions, cheese, avocado, etc.)
Filter 3: Establishment (restaurant, lunchroom, beachclub, etc.)
So user can see all breakfast recipes by selecting breakfast in the first filter, but when 1 filter is empty, the user can see all recipes with cheese. But also select all breakfast recipes with cheese served best at lunchrooms, by selecting a categorie in all filters.
Can this be done with this plugin? If yes, AWESOME! Can this be styled easily?
So, when adding the element to the page, just select the display posts from as custom post type, and in custom post types, select the “Recipes”. Then check the box to enable taxonomy filters.
Regarding the styling – You can style is easily with custom css so you can match the final output with your theme.
Pre-purchase question… Is it possible to have the links in the grid open up in a pop up rather than go to a different page?
Is it possible to just dim items that don’t match rather than hide them?
Can the filter be shown in a column and the results shown in a different column like in a two column layout?
1. We have an option to set the quick view enable / disable. So, if you enable quick view, the plugin adds another icon for quick view and clicking on the quick view button will open the related post in popup with its title, featured image and excerpt.
2. You are talking about the filters? No, that is not possible, as the filters do generate the post through standard WP Query. So whenever you filter the posts, it will generate a set of posts using the WP query and displays the results.
I hope this will help you.
Awesome, thanks for the quick reply back. How about the third question?
Do you also have a demo setup for the pop up?
For the filters and results, if you want to set them into two column layout, you can do that using css customization.
For popup demo, please take a look here – https://www.infiwebs.com/plugins/sortable-post-grid/ when you hover on the image, you will see two icons, on is for the link and the other is for popup. Try clicking on the eye icon to open the post preview.
I’ve bought it the plugin and it looks great. I’ve contact you through your support page as well. Is it possible to have square grid element? I set the thumbnail to 150×150 but what I see is always a rectangular grid element. What can I do?
And Moreover, How can I center the title of the grid element?
I have already replied to your mail.
Hey I’m interested in this plugin, but would like to ensure some details before I purchase it:
This is my website http://quentinscloset.com . If you scroll to the bottom you will see a feature called Magic Box. Those products are Variable Products and I want to download this plugin so that users can quickly view the variations and add one to their cart.
As you will see there, currently when you hover over one of the “magic boxes” the button that appears is a Select Options box, which takes you to the product page. I would like to know if it is possible to replace that Select Options box with a Quick View box using this plugin.
Awaiting your reply. Thanks!
The plugin currently does not provide the compability with the woocommerce, as it was intended to be used with any post type. So if you use the plugin, you can display the quick view for those variable products, but in the quick view, you will see only the product image, title and description.
We are currently working on more features, which will help you to enhance it.
