It would be greatly appreciated if you could update the plugin to support PHP 8.
Hello! The Smoother supports PHP 8 and our demo works on PHP 8.2. Сan you specify the problems you encountered if any?
Hi! does it works with the latest version of Wordpress and PHP?
Hello! The plugin works with the latest WordPress version. For now, it is better to use a PHP version no more than 7.4.x, because 8+ can cause some issues even in the WordPress core. It takes a little more time to fully adapt to the latest PHP version.
Thank you! I’ll be attentive to the update for the purchase.
Hi, is this plugin up to date and compatible with WP 6.01
Hi. Yes, this plugin is fully compatible with latest WordPress version.
Hi! Quick quesiton. I see it works with Elementor Pro BUT will it work on a page where I have used elementor motion effects to some elements (“horizontal scroll” to some and “sticky to top” to some) ? Thanks!
Hello! Yes, it will work correctly.
I don’t understand exactly what this plugin does. A website always scrolls smoothly. What is changed or improved by the plugin? Best regards
Hello! Please note, if you use Magic Mouse or the touchpad, then you may not see the difference since the scrolling there is already smooth enough. You can try using other devices to check how the plugin works.
Pre-Sale question: does this also work with sticky headers and elements?
Hello! The plugin will make your scroll smoothing regardless of the elements you are using on the page.
Does this also works with Elementor?
Yes, it works with Elementor as well.
does this plugin include smooth scrolling for anchor links?
Hello! We will add the smooth scrolling for anchor links in the next plugin release.
Can this plugin turn OFF the smooth scrolling? I need to turn it off on Safari for iPad, for example.
Hello! It is not provided for now, we have added this feature to our to-do list for future plugin updates.
Hey there,
Just an FYI that when using this plugin with WP Rocket’s “Defer Javascript Loading” function, I get a console error like so:
Uncaught ReferenceError: SmoothScroll is not defined
Is this plugin incompatible with Javascript Deferring? Thanks!
Jesse
Hello! The best solution would be to add the /wp-content/plugins/smoother/js/smoother.min.js script to the exceptions in WP Rocket. This is necessary so that smooth scrolling is available immediately after loading the page content. A visitor can start scrolling the page as soon as he sees the content without waiting for all the pictures and scripts to load.
i dont know if im being thick, or its not working on my browser (firefox) but in the demo, i change the settings – and scroll – its looks and feels the same…
Few latest versions of Firefox have built-in smooth scrolling. The plugin does not interfere with Firefox scrolling smoothly.
Work in horizontal scrolling like a tabs ?
Unfortunately no, this is not provided.
WOW! My users like the new smooth! Now my blog have an awesome user experience! Thank you merkulove.
Your welcome!
Hello merkulove I found a little bug on admin dashboard. Please look at the screenshot: https://prnt.sc/oni2fi
All settings, including the last checkbox, are part of the preset. That is, when you switch to Default, you reset all custom settings including the last checkbox in the list. This is not a bug, but I will think about whether the “Enable for all browsers” should be enabled by default. Thanks for your feedback!
Yes…i think will be good to be enabled by default. btw Awesome plugin!
Hello merkulove your best fan is here! Another awesome plugin, I have an error on google Lighthouse after install this plugin. Please take a look at this screenshot: https://prnt.sc/onhoui How can we solve this?
Solved by excluding from Autoptimize smoother.js and smoother.min.js in the “Exclude scripts from Autoptimize”. Problem solved!
Great! Glad to see you among the buyers of this plugin.
Congratulations!!! Nice Work, Good Luck With Sale
Thanks!
