Is it possible to change the position of the thumbs to be on the left or right side of the stage?

No, that is not possible. The way the design of the gallery works, the stage is opened within the thumbs, either on top or on bottom.

has it social icons on the photos at grid layout? To share pics

No, the gallery does not have social sharing for the images.

Hello, could you give me css code, how to make thums under main photo to be in three columns, and it would be responsive. Thanks.

Go to the gallery admin page and set the “Width” and “Thumb width” properties accordingly.

For example, set “Thumb width” to 250 and “Width” to 756 (250 * 3 + 2 * 3 for the spaces in between).

Now you will have the thumbs aligned in 3 columns.

You can change these dimensions based on your needs.

A new update was implemented, version 1.1 is live:

  • Made an improvement to the admin JS files so that errors from unrelated JS files no longer sometimes stop them from being run properly.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing the thumb columns not to display well in some remote cases.
  • Added a query string parameter called “sgimage” to be able to specify an image to be opened by default through the URL (?sgimage=3).
  • Fixed an issue that was causing not all created galleries to show sometimes in the shortcode insert modal.
  • Fixed an issue that was causing not all created galleries to show sometimes in the widget dropdown.
  • Other small modifications and improvements.

Can the images in the stage open up to a lightbox?

No, the images do not open in a lightbox.

Hi, I’ve just try to install the downloaded plugin but with no success. Error massage… What could be the reason for that?

Great! thanks :)

Hi again, borders color is set to RED and I could not found any way to change it to gray… is it possible? and one more question: is it possible to show the image name or any other text above or below the image?

Regarding the border, there are 2 parts to it: the rectangle and the arrow. The rectangle is a CSS border, the arrow is a png image.

The color of the rectangle can easily be changed from the CSS code:

.sg-border {
    ...
    border-color: #f20000;
}

The arrow is an image because browsers aren’t very good at rendering shapes other than rectangles and squares. Especially older browsers. So, to keep things simple, make sure there is wide support and it looks well and consistent across different browsers, I have used a png image for the arrow.

To change the color of the arrow, you will need to edit the source file of the image from the “Sources” folder of the project files. Once you have the new png image, you can replace the current one from the “public/css/img” folder.

Or, if you prefer, you can simply turn off the arrow using the “Thumb border arrow: No” setting and just have the rectangle border that you can customize through CSS.

Regarding texts, because of the design of the gallery, how everything is within the grid, it is not possible to place text outside of the images. All texts, either thumb label or image title and description are placed over the image so that the grid continues to display well and ordered.

Nice work, good luck with sales – DCSF

Hi, Just wonder if you had a chance to take a look at the issue I have with the plugin. If it’s not fixed by today, I will have to ask envanto for a refund since I cannot use the plugin. Thank you

I did get a chance to look over the admin using the login info that you sent me. The WP error message that you mentioned in the above message is no longer displaying on the Dashboard page. You might have fixed it already.

However, now that you fixed that and the WP media library can create thumbs for the uploaded images, you need to reupload the images to the media library because the ones already there don’t have thumbs created for them. I made a test and uploaded 3 new images and they work well now.

What happens is that when an image is uploaded to the WP media library, WP generates different sized thumbs for them during the uploaded process. If ImageMagick/GD was not available when the current images were uploaded, the thumbs were not generated. If ImageMagick/GD is properly available now, the images need to be reuploaded for the thumbs to be generated.

I also sent you an email with a small layout change, please see that as well.

After plugin installed, i went to add images to the gallery. I chose the images, and nothing added. After plugin installed, I also noticed this error message on my wordpress dashboard “The server does not have ImageMagick or GD installed and/or enabled! Any of these libraries are required for WordPress to be able to resize images. Please contact your server administrator to enable this before continuing.” Not sure if that’s the reason why. I checked and GD library is installed and enabled in our server. Could you please help me to resolve this issue? Thank you

Hi. That seems to be an error message from the WP side, not the plugin itself. The gallery uses the WP media library to select and load images and that error messages seems to be related to the WP media library functionality.

If it is possible to give me some temporary login information to the admin, I can try to look over it and investigate it.

Have you tried uploading images with the media library in other places other than the gallery plugin? Is the behavior any different?

I emailed you the temporary admin login info. Thank you

Hi,

How do we handle portrait images? All the demos are st up as landscape – if we have a mix of portrait and landscape, can the gallery shift to masonry mode or do the portraits get cropped?

Thanks.

Hi. The size of the thumbnails can be controlled from the settings. So you can have portrait thumbnails as well.

Because of the way the gallery opens the big image – in place, above or below the row of thumbs – all of the thumbs have the same dimension in order for the layout to be displayed without empty spaces.

However, inside the thumb, the image can be shown in different ways.:
  • Fill all of the thumb area. The aspect ratio is maintained and any content beyond the size of the thumb will be hidden.
  • Fit within the thumb area. The aspect ratio is kept and the image is centered. (The thumb has a background color to properly display the thumb area.)
  • Stretch to the exact dimensions of the thumb area. The aspect ratio is not maintained in this case.

In regards to the stage (the big area where the images are opened), it will always display the full image and maintain the aspect ratio. It can be set to have specific dimensions as well, and if the image has different proportions, it will be centered.

Or the stage can simply have the height automatic, based on the height of the image and, if needed, center the image horizontally within the available area.

Let me know if everything is clear and if you have any other questions.

If you would like, you can send me a few sample images and I will make an example for you so that you can see the options in which they can be displayed before you make any purchase.

You can use the contact form on my profile page to send me a quick message and I will reply with my email.
