Hi, I am unable to install this theme on Wordpress via Hostinger. I get the error: The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.
It’s a plugin. You should unzip the main zip file and install selene.zip by Plugins.
The logo will not appear as selected. I have used various sizes as well as various formats (e.g. png/jpg). I am using Youtube video background and have disabled the countdown. And while I have your attention, might I suggest on a future update to add a footer section to enter in copyright text?

I designed it as seen on demo. You can add/remove features by editing the source code by Plugins / Plugin Editor. After choosing my plugin, open template/index.php.

There is a bug in your plugin. When email is empty or with a bad format, the error doesn’t displayed and the loading animation is still here

I changed “email” with “EMAIL” in selene-wp/template/assets/js/main.js.

No. You should check if your video is allowed to external playing.
Maybe the author changed the permission, thats an option 
Video bg works on my demo properly as you can see.
You can use “https://youtu.be/VIDEO_ID”. Sometimes “https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VIDEO_ID” doesn’t work.

since I’m using a certain Theme I’m getting the following error in the Social Media section: Field social_link could not be displayed. Field type social was not found.
And I’m not able to make any changes for the Social Media Part.
Any Solution for? I’m afraid it’s related with Redux as the Theme is using Redux , but no sure about
I use Redux on my themes, too. You need to update my plugin and reset social media section.
I updated it and resetted the Section, still the same Message: Field social_link could not be displayed. Field type social was not found.
Then, you can try to deactivate other plugins to check which one conflicting.
Just tell me how to get rid of the social media icons without the Menue.. I can’t deactivate the plugins as they are fundamental to the theme that i bought and working on. it works just the social media part not . If you could tell me how to hide the icons i’m fine with
You can open template/index.php and remove social media icons code by Plugin Editor.

Hi, i bought this Plugin after reading some comments. In one, you stated that the about section would be optional (3 years ago) . I can’t find where to deactivated social icons and the about page. Any suggestions?
Social links will be invisible if you leave empty.
You can remove “About” section by selene/template/index.php (Plugins/Plugin Editor)
Remove “modal-toggle” layer between line 202-206 and
<div id="modal"> ... </div>
I added option to enable/disable About section.
You just need to remove existing social links to make them invisible, too.

I just purchase “Selene – Responsive Coming Soon WordPress Plugin” and the them won’t install. I get this message—The “theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.”

I figured out the issue.
When downloading the Selene Plugin after purchase (and it’s a “plugin” not a theme), choose the “Installable WP file only” download option, not the entire set of file. You can do that separately later to have them.
Then “Unzip” the main file, and go into the uncompressed folder and find “selene-wp.” Now compress (zip) that folder. Now you can upload “selene-wp.zip” like any regular plugin. Once you get the “installation successful” prompt, find the Selene plugin and active it.
NOTE: The main issue is that the file you should upload is in an uncompressed folder, and it should be zipped in order for the “plugin upload” function to ingest it.
Once activated, you can find the Selene option on the left-hand admin panel (same side as the Dashboard). Click on it and you will get a broad selection of adjustment choices so you can tweak the “Coming Soon” page to look and function as you like.

hello, Can I use this just as a countdown page for sign ups, so it is a normal page on my website, and the rest of the website is not under construction/it is available to view as usual? Thanks
You can use its HTML version for that type of use.
Because, all the site will be under construction. Only, allowed pages will be visible.

You can edit HTML source code and create a custom url in WP to redirect users to that page.
OK yes allowed by what or whom? Does the plugin have an allowed pages option? If so can I just use the WP version and allow all pages or as you say I must use HTML?

You need to write urls to exclude from under construction. If it’s ok, you can buy WP plugin version.

No. There’s a textarea in plugin options to exclude urls.

Sorry 2 more questions – Are the headings of the about us section able to be easily changed or require digging through code>? Linked to this on one website can I have multiple different landing pages/countdowns? The countdown would be the same but the info/titles would be different?
You can create only one countdown. But, you can edit all features via plugin options.

Upon purchasing this plugin for Wordpress, when I activate the plugin and enable the Coming Soon mode I receive on my site a ‘There has been a critical error on your website” message.
I have tried deleting my entire wordpress site and start from scratch but the same error message appears only when I have this plug-in activated and enabled.

I also need help with the MailChimp integration. MC does not use most of the descriptors for the requested information (such as User ID or List ID), and does not (anymore) have the format by which you describe where to find it.

MailChimp settings are written in the plugin settings.
Follow the steps below to get the form data.
1 – Navigate to the Lists page.
2 – Click the drop-down menu to the right of the Stats button for the list you want to work with, then select Signup forms.
3 – Click Embedded forms. Data Values example = us0-123456789-00000000, 123456789 = is MailChimp User ID, 00000000 = is Mailchimp List ID, us0 = is your Mailchimp server
