Pre-sale questions

1) Can it take posts as its input or is it only an image gallery?

2) Can a click take you to a page or post instead of popping up a larger image?

Hi 1) Right now the images are from the media library. But after add the images, you can customize the thumbnail and large image’s address. Which means you can set the image from different address. 2) And yes, you can set the large image’s URL to a post, but we will lose the lightbox for all the images.

Hello – I have uploaded a new gallery here: http://darrennolander.com/sharable-images/ however there is a weird box around the images with a little grey pin in the top left corner. Every box overlaps into another image. Also, it looks like there is too much padding on the left side. Can you please help? Thank you.

Hi, sorry can you send me a screenshot of it? I see it working fine here.
Regards

What is your email? I can’t attach screenshots here.

Hi, you can send me a message via the contact form in my profile page.

Love the plugin. We’ve only encountered one issue: when opening the images in a lightbox from the Pinterest gallery on mobile, it causes the website to freeze: http://revolveresidential.com/gallery/

Hi, can you switch a theme to test? I can see any error feedback in the page from mobile.

Hi there, I’m having an issue with the gallery after an image had it’s position changed – if you look at the page here – http://beta.kingandallen.co.uk/gallery/ you will see the error code. It looks like it has a problem bringing back the category titles. In the dashboard I cannot see the preview at all for this gallery. It was working fine until the position of 1 image was changed. Any ideas on how to fix this? The launch of the site is being held up by this now unfortunately so any assistance you can give on sorting the fix would be appreciated

Do you think it would be useful if I were to provide you with a login so you can see things in a little more detail?

Hi, it maybe a bug related to the max_input_vars, prevent you to save the gallery for there are to many images. You can try to increase the value in the php.ini http://stackoverflow.com/questions/10303714/php-max-input-vars
Regards

Thank you, this has worked. We had previously increased this value from 1000 to 3000 but the problem only re-occured after upgrading the WordPress core

Hello,

I have purchased this plugin and it looks great. However, I am not able to fond the option to open the hyperlink in a new tab when clicking the image. Thanks a lot!

Hi right now it doesn’t support new tab in the setting, you can customize the shortcode php file, add the target=”blank” to the link.
Regards

Does anyone know if it is possible to link directly to a filter in the gallery. I want to create a link on the homepage and go through to the gallery but at a specific filter/category. I can’t see how to do this, is it possible?

Just to let everyone know, there is a limitation with this plugin, it doesn’t allow for more than 189 images in a gallery. When you add the 200th image the code strips out the src= reference for the images. If you then remove the 200th gallery item you need to restore the gallery settings (width and offset) as these are also wiped out. Hoping that there is an update for this issue as it doesn’t quite fit the description of the plugin I’m afraid

Hi, this is controlled by the max_input_vars in your server’s php.ini file, the default value is 1000, you can increase the max_input_vars value, to 2000 for example, then you can add more images.
Don’t forget to restart you apache server to make the new max_input_vars working.
Regards

Is there a limit to the number of images you can have in a gallery? Someone has commented that it seems to be 180, is this true?

Just wanted to check if you saw my reply. Its just that you sent a really quick response before so not sure if it popped up for you

Hi there, I’m really hoping someone can help out. I’ve been putting together a list of galleries using this plugin and all was working great until yesterday :(

No idea why everything has stopped though but we had a range of images in the main gallery and some additional ones were added last night and now the gallery isn’t working – http://beta.kingandallen.co.uk/lookbook-business-suits/

Is there anything anyone can suggest?

Hi, does it works fine in the backend? It looks like the image data is lost. Please make sure the page is fully loaded in the backend before clicking the save button, otherwise the data maybe be lost.
Regards

Hi there, thanks for the quick response. I’m afraid the preview doesn’t load for this gallery in the back end at all.

It works fine on other pages though where a different gallery is used. http://beta.kingandallen.co.uk/business-suits/

Sorry to add another post but I’m having real issues now. I created another gallery, added images and was testing the resulting gallery. All working fine until I added more than 180 images. The gallery on the page breaks and even if I remove images from the gallery it still doesn’t work.

Please can you provide an update on this as I was not aware there are limitations to the plugin when I purchased it. Not best pleased at the minute as I now have to explain why I’ve installed an inappropriate plugin on a site!

Hi Sike,

I’m looking for a way to show a limited X # of images within a gallery.

On the Footer of my website, I’d like to show a random set of 6 Businesses Sponsors from within the Business Sponsor Gallery: http://wildearth.org/business-sponsors

Is this possible? Any clues about what code I may be able to adapt in order to add this kind of functionality?

I wonder if there’s a way for me to show a limited # of images within a gallery. For instance, on the Footer of my website, I’d like to show a random set of 6 Businesses Sponsors from within the Business Sponsor Gallery: http://wildearth.org/business-sponsors

Ive just moved my webstie to another server and Im getting errors for this plug in: Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/mysite/public_html/wp-content/plugins/pinterest/cq-pinterest-shortcode.php on line 40

What is this?

Hi, it looks like the 2 sites doesn’t share the same custom post? Please try to import the post to move the site?
Regards

Its fine. When Imoved websites, the gallery contents emptied out. I needed to add all the pictures to the galleries again. Fortunately I had the test site for a reference

@nikitagulabani92 How did you get the images to show? :-)

I want to remove the drop shadow effect and border around the images – so the items are not framed at all. How do I do this? (This is not on the lightbox but when displayed on the page)

Hello, We’re seeing some odd behaviour on a client site with this plug in: http://www.fophotography.com/blog/engagements/

When a thumbnail image is hovered, we see a stretched PIN IT button, and no larger image appears.

We’ve turned off all other plugins as a precaution.

Paid plug in: 993029f5-20d6-4fca-811e-82c775ca20b7

Thanks

If I knew what to do, I would have already done it myself. Please give me the exact code and where to put it in your plugin.

Hi, I’m having a problem with this plugin. When I click on a image to see it, only the horizontal images are responsive, they adapt to window height, but the vertical images are not responsive, they remain the same height no matter what the window height is.

Can you tell me how can I fix this please.

Can I get an answer please?

Hi, please take a look at the cq-pinterest-shortcode.php in the plugin folder. We’re using the WordPress built-in wp_enqueue_style to embed the style. You can try to customize, or you can try to ignore the error. For more information: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/18549726/element-link-is-missing-required-attribute-property

We have 183 images in one of our galleries, but when we try to add more images the plugin crashes. It deleted all of our images and we had to fix it by restoring the database.

The errors are: Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /cq-pinterest.php on line 162 Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /cq-pinterest.php on line 188

I am trying to make a simple modification, and would appreciate help from the author or knowledgeable users.

The filtering buttons include one labeled “All”. I would like to Change the label and move the button to the first position instead of the last. Seems like it should be simple.

The php file that contains the code (codecanyon-5766551-responsive-pinterest-grid-gallery-wordpress-plugin/cq-pinterest-shortcode.php) that loads the gallery is marked “inactive” and no other file appears to have similar code. So how can I make this change?
