Hello – can I change the speed at which the widget pans through each of the posts? i.e. make it 1 second between posts, or 2 seconds, etc?

Yes, you can change the slider speed, interval etc.
Post Slider and Post Carousel plugin is created with shortcode and widget so you can apply this via particular shortcode as well.

For your query, 1) Is the plugin no longer updated here? Ans – Plugin was in queue with the new features and update. It has been updated with the latest version.
2) I only want to include individual posts, can I do this? Ans – Yes, You can. There is a simple shortcode parameter. You just need to pass comma separated IDs. That’s it.
3) Can you adjust the size of the sliders in height? Ans – Yes, You can.
