We did not find this addon on wp search - Is this addon active? We want to collect email address of people coming to vote - does that exist? or only for the person that upload the photo?

We used this software for a contest and it was great for participants once we figured out that we needed to communicate the size limitation. I typed up details and sharing them here in case they help others : The contest software has an embedded size restriction for photos. Make sure this caveat is clearly communicated. Some participants logged in and successfully uploaded a photo. However, the photo was too big for the contest software to display it on the site. So, the contest manager did not get a notice that a photo was uploaded and ready to be approved. And even if the contest manager sees the photo in the photo library they can’t approve the photo to display it. The manager had to write the participant and ask them to resize and upload again. <note: the contest manager cannot download the photo, resize, and then upload it for the participant because then the photo would be associated with the contest manager’s username (unless the contest manager changes the user’s password, logs in as the user, uploads the resized photo, logs out, logs back in as the manager and approves the photo. Then sends the participant their new password.)

Here are the instructions we had in 2020 after learning these lessons. Generally, they worked. They would be better if the maximum size of photo requirement was more prominently displayed:

To enter the contest you must register: 1) Click on the “Log in” link (right side, below) 2) Register “for this site” (the screen will have a “W” on it) 3) Get an email with a link to secure your registration. 4) From your new profile page, click on “Visit Site” in the upper left and go to this photo contest page. 5) Select Upload Photo and follow the instructions. Photo size 1920px W x 1080px H or smaller (if you need to shrink, save the original in case you win!) 6) Once you have an account, always Log in here using the “Log in” link (below, right) and then click on Upload Photo 7) Use your log in information to upload photos throughout the year. (IMPORTANT: always use the Log in link to access the system first.)

Pre-purchase question: Can admin require an entry fee to enter contests? If not, do you plan to add this feature soon?

Presales Question: Just checked your admin demo on https://demo.galleryplugins.com/ but couldn’t find an answer. Is it possible to limit the contest to a certain time frame (not just date, but time as well)? Say, for example that the contest should run from 5pm to 7pm on a certain date?

I need to understand few things please – 1. In the demo when we click an image it opens in a lightbox. I want that when someone clicks image, it should go to voting page. How is that possible. 2. I want the winner to be decided based on total star rating + social shares. Is that possible. 3. Is there a way that participants can invite people to vote on their photos 4. Does it have whatsapp sharing option 5. Can we select start & end day and time of photo contest

Has anyone upgraded WordPress to 5.6 and had issues with the contest? This plugin is updated for 5.5 but not 5.6 yet. Wondering if we will have issues if we upgrade anyway.

Hi, I have some problems with this plugin which were discussed earlier when I purchased this plugin. I was supposed to fix these problems in next update but these are still there. Please consider the following.

1. There are too many share platforms in share bar which are useless, there should be an option to hide or activate only required social platforms.

2. The plugin needs a new page every time we want to create a contest, for us if we want too many contest or contest on a daily basis it will require lots of pages to create, making this much pages on a website is not a good idea, there should be some “custom post type” specified for this instead of regular pages.

3. When we upload any image which is more in height, the plugin automatically crops the image to fit it on its frame. We have selected full pixels available in settings and disabled the wp function to resize images. But the problem is still there. 4. Disqus comment system is not used these days as for SEO practices, we use Wordpress hosted comments and for this, we are using WPDISCUZ Comments plugin to stylize our comment forms https://wpdiscuz.com/. wpdiscuz only stylize native Wordpress comments which is not detected by your plugin. Kindly include wpdiscuz integration to your plugin.

5. There should be an image missionary option in both gallery and contest plugins.

Actually, I have a simple question: Am I able to do hot or not version from this?!

Means, two images are being placed next to each other, user chooses which one he likes more and selects it.

Then another pic appears next to this selected and user again has to choose, which he likes more. Etc.

Is that possible?

Where are saved the photos? is it possible to save them in Drive, Dropbox, etc…?

Is it not possible to get pictures without making a user. We ask for Name, Email and Phone numbers. Thats enough for us to get in the participants. We dont want them to become a user.

Can you confirm that this is compatible with the latest version of wordpress and also compatible with PHP 7.3.20 as photo uploads cause photos.php to generate an Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function emtpy(). If not what is the minimum version of PHP it works with please?
