I think you can use the ‘show’ method. $(’.your-colorpicker’).materialColorPicker(‘show’);
I tried this method but it didn’t work. It says
Uncaught Error: materialColorPicker plugin must be initialised before using method: show
Hello, I just brought the Color Picker Plus, love it… but, it doesn’t work on IE or in older version of chrome, I just test it in version 43 and it doesn’t initialize.

Hi disperado, you can use the plugin for anything you want. If you want it for visitors to change the color of the website, our plugin provides some callbacks to let you bind some action to a specific event. See the plugin docs for more information and examples. Also we have not updated the plugin since 2017 because we have been working on a new project, but we will soon add some new suggested features.
I need to create a catalog with several colors. However, I would like a background to be pre-filled with the chosen color. As a catalog of paints (colors) and their effect on a wall (background). Does your product apply to this?
Hello Ayron, And yes, we think that our product can be useful to you. To specify an initial color that is “pre-filled” you can specify a color by “default” using the parameter “defaultcolor”, where the value must match any name of any color present in the colors collection. Then, if you need to trigger some action, you can use one of the available callbacks. In our Live Preview you can check this. Demo 4 (Title: Setting a defaultcolor) is what you need.

Hello, I think you need the extended license for that.
Adding another return format that would provide an object with R, G and B values would be nice.
Also the picker will sometimes not open again if ‘cancel’ gets called on it during the opening animation (like if close on scroll is implemented).

Would be great to have the option to upload an image and pick the color. Or to paste in the url of a website and it screenshots it and also the possibility to pick the color.
