Hello. please let me know, do you plan to release a newer version? (last Ionic version is
Also, please share what’s the requirements in Android SDK version to run this app. It’s possible to use it in Android 13? Thanks
Yes we are planning to build it with latest ionic and angular. We have targeted for sdk 28. You can use/copy the code content and concepts to build for any android version.
Congratulations! Nice Work, GLWS
Thanks
Hi. There is no ‘Plugin for Wordpress’ folder in the extracted files from the download as mentioned in the documentation. There are no instructions on how to run the app from your local machine. I have purchased this item but it is not complete or fit for purpose. Please supply the missing items. Many thanks.
We are very sorry for this sir! It was an our fault. We are pushing the new update today. So it will available for your after Envato’s review (Updates are free for you). But if you can provide an email address then we can send the new version (updated documentation, plugin) for you now. Thanks!

We emailed you the updated version.(If not in inbox please see spam folder also) Also we submitted new version to Envato .It’s still under review and you will be notified once published. Yes you are correct. The best way is to get support via Comments. We are here to help you. Thanks!
Thank you, I have received this and installed. Please can you point to a fully working demo of the app on the internet so that I can see how my local version should be functioning. I have some of the Wordpress site showing but the plugin has not enabled Features Images and the JWT login isn’t working.
1) We will going add fully working app demo video to see how app is functioning.
2)We’ll checkout that. Until then add this code to your end of wordpress theme’s functions.php.
//Code start add_action( ‘rest_api_init’, ‘register_featured_media_url’ ); function register_featured_media_url() { register_rest_field( ‘post’, ‘featured_media_url’, array( ‘get_callback’ => ‘get_featured_media_url’, ‘update_callback’ => null, ‘schema’ => null, ) ); } //Code end
this will add featured media to rest api.
3) Have you installed JWT Auth plugin?
1 – Great. Look forwards to that. Especially the category search and the comments functionality as I cannot see those working. Also what the purpose of the “pills” at the top of the homepage and the broken / empty hamburger menu. 2- I added that at the bottom of your plugin file and … it works! 3 – Yes I have JWT Auth plugin installed and activated. – Version 1.3.2
1) We’ll check it surely
2) Nice!
3) Can you please provide us any errors logged in console when you try to login to your site via app (If you are using Chrome you can see it by pressing F12 – the developer console )
3) May be JWT plugin has not properly configured.
JWT Plugin page – https://wordpress.org/plugins/jwt-authentication-for-wp-rest-api/
The JWT needs a secret key to sign the token this secret key must be unique and never revealed.
To add the secret key edit your wp-config.php file and add a new constant called JWT_AUTH_SECRET_KEY
define(‘JWT_AUTH_SECRET_KEY’, ‘your-top-secret-key’); You can use a string from here https://api.wordpress.org/secret-key/1.1/salt/
We’ll add this to our documentation. Thanks for showing these things. It may very helpful for us.
I have successfully got the App working locally with the Wordpress site running on WP Engine including JWT authentication.
Comments work inasmuch as when I am logged in I can post comments and they are written to Wordpress.
Comments do NOT appear beneath posts once made (even though they are shown as approved in WP Admin.
I cannot see how the Hamburger menu works (it does nothing). The share icon when you are in a post does nothin. The favourite / save to local storage works.
It’s all very promising but the demo of all functionality working would be good to know what is supposed to happen within this app.
Thanks, Ben
Actually it does look like comments are now loading (took about 5 or 10 minutes).
1 – The display of comments is not quite right.
You can see what is [not] shown in the ionic app here: https://app.screencast.com/3UbC5Ser6DBGf
2 – I think there should be a slide show of featured posts or images on the App homepage but this is not displaying. Without a demo I don’t know how this should / does work.
3 – The account page looks as if it should be displaying an avatar and the WP user display name on the header of that page. It does not display either of those things although I can see that the JSON calls are returing this information. The app doesn’t show these items.
These are all things that I think need fixing in the Ionic app I am pretty sure that is where the problems are.
I can give you access to my API and a login (obviously not via public ENVATO comments)—how best to DM you these?
Thanks. Ben
Thank you very much for all suggestions. Can you send your API for us. We will check it
Thanks. I see that you have put some screen grabs on the item, I’ll review those and mark up what doesn’t work on my install.
My API is here: https://simpletrix.wpenginepowered.com/wp-json/wp/v2/posts
Thanks, Ben
OK. I worked out that the “featured posts” slider is based upon having some posts in Wordpress marked as “Sticky” – you may want to update your wording to use Sticky as that is what makes it work.
Your screen grab of Comment display and Account shows an Avatar and a name.
I found out that to get this working you have to enable “Avatar display” in the Settings > Discussion page on WP Admin or nothing shows on the app. https://app.screencast.com/Qb66ZZWlVx2VC
This should be conditional/optional and not “fail” if Avatars are switched off in WP engine – not everyone will have this option enabled.
I’ll carry on working through the app though - it’s promising. But has taken a lot of trial and error to get it functioning as intended.
Thanks Ben
Ok we understood the problem. It’s not a problem in app code but the settings on Wordpress. We are adding it to our new documentation.Sorry for any inconvenience caused. Thank you so much!
I created a new user – registered via the app – and was able to comment on a post successfully. When I log in as that new user via the app and go to the Account page I do not get the user name or the avatar.
At first I thought this was because registration does not add in Firstname / Lastname to the WP account or that the default gravatar was not set when the user was created so I did that in WP Admin.
But still for that user their name and avatar do not display and there is an error in the console about “Sorry, you are not allowed to list users”. This happens for a user created via the App, not an existing account created in WP Admin.
ERROR HttpErrorResponse {headers: HttpHeaders, status: 401, statusText: 'OK', url: 'https://simpletrix.wpenginepowered.com/wp-json/wp/v2/users/5', ok: false, …}error: code: "rest_user_cannot_view"data: {status: 401}message: "Sorry, you are not allowed to list users."[[Prototype]]: Objectheaders: HttpHeaders {normalizedNames: Map(0), lazyUpdate: null, lazyInit: ƒ}message: "Http failure response for https://simpletrix.wpenginepowered.com/wp-json/wp/v2/users/5: 401 OK"name: "HttpErrorResponse"ok: falsestatus: 401statusText: "OK"url: "https://simpletrix.wpenginepowered.com/wp-json/wp/v2/users/5"
There are 2 users created via the App “Register” page that do not appear in the users REST API. User 5 & User 6. They are visible in WP Admin. See screen grab here: https://app.screencast.com/MXbiUOXXZksdC .
Interestingly this appears to be because these new user have not got any posts associated with their account, and the WP Users REST API checks for that.
The solution detailed here appears to work: https://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/331042/unable-to-get-the-info-of-the-user-which-doesnt-have-created-any-post-via-restThis should perhaps – once thoroughly tested by you as plugin authors – be added to your app (or a new custom endpoint developed and included in your plugin).
Noted these. We have gone through this and working on it.Thanks Ben.
