using ImportWP with Rehub theme, after updating to 2.5.0 imports no longer work!
Getting error message – “Unable to locate importer template: woocommerce-product”
Rolling back to version 2.4.10 imports resume to work.
Please advise.

This error suggests you do not have the latest version of import woocommerce, To fix this make sure you have the lastest version of the woocommerce addon: https://www.importwp.com/integrations/import-export-woocommerce-plugin/
v2.5.1 has been released and restores the old method of loading extensions (specifically yoast and woocommerce addons) , please note this was originally removed due to errors being thrown during WordPress plugin update / file replacement process.

The version of importwp woocommerce addon you had installed did not have the update checker code installed, this update code is only in the most recent versions.
Hi, ive tried creating a support ticket on your website and also through envato but it says my support is expired.. However, i see many people have the same problem as I do.. So please be so kind as to assist as we supported you and bought your item long ago even when we didn’t need to use it immediately.
1) Images and attachments /files won’t download from the remote xml file into the images or featured image WooCommerce fields. (I am however able to download them into the product description in the details about the product as can be seen in the attached pictures to this ticket)
2) brands and categories are not importing into the brands and categories taxonomies even though they appear to be mapped correctly.
3) How do I set a markup to be automatically added or adjusted onto the price of the imported products (for example, markup of 10 percent)

1) how have you have configured the importing of images / attachments in the importer?
2) can you give more information about this?
3) Import wp allows you to use custom methods to modify data, you should be able to add a function to your themes function file or via a plugin allowing you to add x% to the price, if you need help with creating this function let me know and i can make it for you.
Are you able to export your importer via Tools > Import WP > Settings / Tools > Import / Export and attach the file.
It would also be helpful if you can attach your xml / csv file (even if its just the first row/record) so that i can better understand.

In rehub Theme the plugin is bundled.
Yes that is correct, only customers of import wp pro who have purchased and have an active support license can create tickets, as the bundled version of import wp pro does not come with any support.
However the most recent versions of import wp pro use the free plugin as a base (import wp pro 2.4.2+ , you can tell if this is the case as if import wp free is installed and active on your website, if you deactivate import wp, a message should appear telling you to install / activate it.)
if this is the case then you can create a support ticket via its wordpress.org plugin page about the issue relating to that plugin and not the premium plugin or any addons: https://wordpress.org/plugins/jc-importer/ (as wordpress moderators will close unrelated tickets without questions).

Using filters – Skip row if this “does not contain text in list” – “circular saw,etc,etc,etc” and getting the right products.
However, am also getting “cicular saw blade” which I don’t want.
Have tried loads of combinations of additional filters, can’t seem to prevent including them.
Any idea which additional filter I should be using? (and/or etc)

Hi! Please tell me if the plugin supports xml links.zip? Which is found everywhere today.
That is, in the rehub template that I use, your plugin cannot recognize a link like https:// something there.xml.zip
Zip files can be downloaded and imported using the https://www.importwp.com/integrations/zip-archive-importer/ addon, once activated it extracts zip files and imports the first xml or csv file contained in the archive.

Does your import plugin work with Rank Math?

At the moment there is no official addon created for Rank Math, but most post_type and taxonomy settings of rank math can be imported to using import wp pro custom field features, if you need help identifying the names or rank math settings to be used in the importer let me know and i can help.

Hello! As I read the description I guess the plugin covers my needs but as you encourage to ask, let me explain what I want to do, I appreciate if you can confirm before I purchase this.
I have Custom Post types and I have some ACF fields on them. The fields are Text, Number, Select and Date. I also would like to set a Category and an image for the post.
I have a spreadsheet on Google Docs that I can export. Images are separated in a folder.
So, ImportWP Pro will be able to import this spreadsheet right? Even the ACF Select field would be properly filled?
I just don’t get it when I’m able to import the images.
And one last question: If my spreadsheet is updated later. Can I import it again and the previous imported rows will be just ignored?

Import WP should easily be able to import into a custom post type containing ACF custom fields (https://www.importwp.com/docs/importer/integrations/import-advanced-custom-fields-data/), link a category, and attach images from either your google docs (https://www.importwp.com/docs/importer/how-to-guides/how-to-import-from-google-sheets-to-wordpress/). You can import again, and any extra records will be added, and any existing records will be updated, no records will be removed unless you give the importer the delete permission (https://www.importwp.com/docs/importer/getting-started/permissions/)
My only concern is the images, where are they located? they need to be accessible from the importer, e.g:
locally – uploaded to a folder on the same server as the website you are importing to (dont upload to the media library, instead upload to a folder on your server via ftp), ftp server – stored on an ftp server remote – download from any remote url

I have the images locally. So I could place them in Google Drive and the Importer would download from there? How it will associate with each new item imported?

Hello again! I’m starting to install and following your instructions and docs but I’ve got one more question, I don’t know if I’m missing something.
Now I have a Google Sheet that the plugin got access. And I have a folder in Google Drive with hundreds of images of products.
I understood how I will get the link of a image to download it. And I should place it for a row in the spreadsheet wich it is related to the product that will be imported. But how I will do this automatically for hundreds of images to fill hundreds of rows of products in the sheet?

Hi, normally when importing records that contain images, each record in your csv or xml file would have a reference of some sort to each image. (in your case you have an extra complexity because you are also fetching images from google drive).
How do you know what images relate to which record in your google sheet? once we know how your data is linked i should hopefully be able to point you in a better direction.

I’m a rehub theme user (they include a pro version of your plugin). I have a problem when I want to import Attachments Is Featured. I have uploaded the images to the media library (it has a link https://mysite.com/wp-content/uploads/image.jpg). I have set the fields in the Attachments section as follows:
Location: https://mysite.com/wp-content/uploads/image.jpg
Is Featured: Yes
Download: Remote URL
Base URL:
Permissions: Search media library before downloading new files
Enable Meta:No
But it still automatically creates a new image (image-1) for Featured. I don’t know where is the error? (other fields work fine)
What settings do I need to use in order to use the images available on the media library as featured images

The “Search media library before downloading new files” permissions, only works with previously imported images from the importer, it uses a hash of the source location to make sure the same images are not downloaded twice.
If you manually uploaded your images to the media library then this will not work (because there will be no comparable hash), you should upload them to a folder on your server outwith the media library and let the importer fetch the images.
The only way i can think that you can get around this is if your import file has the attachment id in a column or node, remove the attachment importer and instead use this id via a custom field “_thumbnail_id” to set the featured image.
Pre-purchase question. Is it somehow possible to use the importer as standalone price comparison tool? If I have 3 feeds, with the same products, and let’s say those products have same unique identifiers, like EAN data, but 3 different prices, can those 3 different prices be shown or the tool will always overwrite the price?

Is Import WP Pro compatible with Wordpress Multisite?
I got your plugin via the Rehub theme, but after network activating it, it doesn’t show up in the “Tools” menu as it normally does on other websites I’m running it on (which are not multisite).
Hi Neokoen, Sorryit has take so long to give you a response to this, I have setup a local multisite, and can conform that the plugin once network activated is then available on the “tools” menu under each network site.
If you are not seeing this can you let me know what versions of ImportWP and ImportWP Pro you have installed.

Hi, this error is caused by your csv file not having the same number of columns per line, if this is not the case then it could be down to your file delimiter or seperator settings, if you need any further help please create a support ticket.

To edit the rank math focus keyword, title, and description you can use the following custom fields: (rank_math_focus_keyword,rank_math_title,rank_math_description)

1. Social Media Preview: Because usually by default wordpress, the category does not have thumbnails, so when sharing on social networks it will not have images
2. Canonical URL: it is quite important to avoid duplicate content

(the raw custom field keys only display previously set custom field keys, if you were to create a demo post and set the rank math fields, they would then appear in the dropdown)

I have the problem that the images are not imported into woocommerce product gallery if there are commas in the path. The gallery is enclosed by double quotes and separated by semicolons.
The log after the import says: Response Code: 400, A valid URL was not submitted. (translated)
Is it possible to set a extra delimiter for the gallery-images? How else could it work?

Hi,
By default the attachment field will split attachments using a comma, you can change this character to anything you require using the ‘iwp/attachment/value_delimiter’ filter, an example of changing this can be found here: https://www.importwp.com/docs/importer/how-to-guides/how-to-import-wordpress-attachments-onto-a-post-type/#attachment-value-delimiter

Thanks, i have not had a request before to change the name of an importer, this has now been added in the lastest 2.4.2 version of import wp.
You can change the name of the importer via the edit importer screen by clicking on the importers name to enable the rename form.

And … one more request: Would it be possible to add a copy function? Then i could duplicate and modify a configured import for a similar case. This would save a lot of time and increase usability.
To duplicate an importer, the best way is to, goto Settings / Tools > Import / Export , select and export the importer, then import that export.
Thanks for the hint … but … a simple copy- or duplicate-function / -button sounds easier and much more userfriendly. If you could implement it, i think many users would be very tankful. 
The latest update doens´t work with the Jetengine addon

As soon the new version 2.4 has been installed, the jet engine addon plugin has been disabled and can´t be enabled anymore

Hi James, regarding compatibility with importwp-rhaddon plugin.
The author still issues the Rehub theme with importwp version 2.1.1 and doesn’t seem interested in going any further. A while back, when he was asked about an update of IWP to version 2.23 his reply was “2.23 has some critical bugs so we will stay on previous” !
Based on that, seems pointless asking him if v2.4.0 is compatible with IWP-rhaddon as I’m pretty sure he won’t know.
I have no idea what the critical bugs are, I’ve been using v2.2.4 for months without issue.
As I see you have worked with him in the past to include your plugin with his theme, is there any way you could clarify what the critical bugs actually are?

i have not been informed of any critical bugs, and i do not have access to the theme or plugin / know the functionality of their addon, so i am unable to test.
I would recommend cloning your live enviroment and updating the plugins and seeing if it works, before running updates on live site.
Out of curisity what plugins does the importer work with in the theme, is it just content egg? if so i could have a look into creating an integration for this.

yes thank you, i can see that the addon integrates with the importwp-woocommerce, content egg and their theme. How did you get on with creating a staging account impdating plugins and seeing if it works with the the latest versions of the plugins? This way if you let me know whats not working i can see how its integrated and try to fix if needed.
Updated our local copy, wamp version. As far as I can see, everything still seems to be working as with the previous version. I’ll update the main site and see how it goes.
