However. Yesterday I’ve bought & tried to install your “i-Chef” script.

The “Documentation” provided with the script doesnt explain nothing about the installation of the script itself, or the changes that shold be make in the “database” or some of the ”.php’s” provided..

The “database” you gave with the script definetively doesn’t work with any provider.

Please could You be so kind to send me the list of the changes I should make in the database or in the .php’s like for examle the “application/config/database.php”

Of course I could try to find the places where the changes are needed by myself, but it I’m wondering why don’t You provide the buyers with a proper Installations instruction.

This has nothing to do with the videos about “Uploading”the data or or watching the site. Everybody who works with this things knows it already. This looks a bit funny to me. Where are the instructions about installing your script?

so sorry, but exactly that’s the problem. In the documentation I’ve found only explanation of the installation in two steps:

1- Place files: You need to login your cPanel or whatever you’re using to reach your server, Then upload the following folder content (root) to your public_html with your file manger or FTP.

2- Grap and upload database: You can find the database file in (root) folder under the name of (database.sql), now you should visit your PHPmyadmin client on your dear server.

As i understand, your opinion is that should be enough to let the script working.

I still don’t understand how the script should recognize the database without any additional changes in the .php.

Is there any other explanation of the installation process included I’ve missed ? Or is the only way of installing the script with your assistance ?

+ Dear Marwaelmanawy, I’ve tried few different ways again, following your two steps instruction. No way to let this script work only by follopwing this two steps.. My feeling is: there is no way of installing this script without giving acess to the server to You. Sorry, but this surely isn’t a usual way of supporting the customers.

MySQL is of course a little bit higher as 5.6.

After deleting the “newsletter” section in the applicxation/controllers/Home.php, the script started to work.

Maybe it will work fine. I’ll check the ”/Home.php” one more time.

Stiill think You should provide your customers with a little bit more informations about installing process, like for example to do the changes in the “database.php”.
