Hi. I’m looking for a video player WordPress plugin that allows my visitors to create their own video playlist from a collection of checkboxes. So, user selects the video elements that they’re interested in and then they click a button to be able to watch the playlist they’ve created. Can your plugin do this, and if not, would you consider coding it for us for an additional fee?

My site is hosted on WordPress.com, the Business Plan, which means I can install plugins. The video files will be hosted in .mp4 format, for example a URL will look like this: https://nodepunk.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/08/VOICE-WARS.mp4
My assumption is that this does meet your plugin requirements, best to check with you though. Please advise.
The only other question I have, is does the plugin have a “lightbox” feature?

If you have the direct url to the MP4 file it will play it.

This player doesn’t have support for YouTube & Vimeo. It supports only self-hosted videos.

No matter the player you’ll use, for self-hosted videos you need the direct link to the MP4 file.

It will play it from google drive only if you have the direct url to the MP4 file.

If the url to the MP4 file is encrypted, it will not play it.

Initially, this player wouldn’t activate. It took about 10 minutes to realize the activation script is create MyISAM tables. Please update your plugin to use InnoDB. Hosted MySQL platforms running v8.0 don’t give you the ability to use MyISAM. I don’t undererstand why a plugin that has just a few rows of data is even creating an MyISAM table.

MyISAM is the default MySQL storage engine and it performs better when the accent is put on reading and not writing.
Because MyISAM is stagnant and all future enhancements will be in InnoDB we will change the database tables to InnoDB with the next update.

Very pleased with this plugin, the video quality and the playlist are perfect for our site.
Two questions:
What’s the best way to insert the player shortcode in a page? I have tried in Elementor, in the Shortcode Widget, in the Text Widget, in the HTML Widget. In all of these choices, the video window is very small, no matter what size I write in the Player Settings, and the Playlist text is too small to be readable.
I went back to standard Wordpress, using the now standard block editor, In Normal Paragraph block, Shortcode block, Code block, and HTML blocks, I get no result. Only in the Classic Paragraph block do I get a good player and readable Playlist items. (Classic Paragraph block is available if you have Tiny MCE installed and activated) Any suggestions?
Is it possible to make the text in the playlist labels bigger?

It can only fail if the path to the MP4 file is incorrect. If the path to the MP4 file is incorrect, it will not go to the next video.

The video player playlist and settings are administrated from plugin interface in wp-admin, The MP4 files are taken from media library or from a third-party server.
The plugin interface is designed to be used by the site owner/admin and not by the user. The user only sees the player in front-end.

For instance all 6 videos have 2minutes each and all start playing at the same time.
When I watch the first video up to say 30seconds and I switch to the second video, since they all started playing at the same time I want to be able to watch from 30seconds of the second video. Just like how Live coverage works.
