No, this isn’t a regular 2FA system. It’s an authenticator-based 2FA that works with apps like Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy, and others. The type of 2FA you’re referring to likely already exists in Perfex’s default system.

Hello, We haven’t officially tested the module with the Perfex SaaS version, but since it’s developed using Perfex’s standard module structure and does not require any core file changes, it should work smoothly in most SaaS setups.
The module also supports both staff members (admins) and customers, which adds flexibility and should align well with how SaaS users are structured.

Would it be great for admins to receive e-mail notification when a user requests reset? The notification on the panel may be overlooked during busy days

Supports re-enrollment flow if the user loses access to their authenticator: Can this be disabled for security reasons? I mean, what’s the point of 2FA if you can enrol if you don’t have the code?

Hello, We have updated the product and changed the flow, now user can submit a re-enrollment or reset request directly from the interface. This request will be reviewed and processed by an administrator, who can reset the 2FA status from the admin panel. Once reset, the user will be able to reconfigure their Authenticator with QR code.

Hello, we’ve tested this module with Yubico and can confirm it’s compatible with the Yubico Authenticator app. Additionally, it works seamlessly with all major authenticator applications.

After reviewing the compatibility, we’d like to clarify the following:
Our current TOTP-based authentication module is fully compatible with all standard TOTP apps, including the Yubico Authenticator. You can securely register the QR code or secret key to your YubiKey using the Yubico Authenticator app, and it will generate valid one-time passwords (OTPs) that work seamlessly with our module.
However, if you’re looking for the ability to authenticate by simply inserting or tapping the YubiKey, that functionality falls under a different security protocol — specifically U2F (Universal 2nd Factor) or WebAuthn (Web Authentication API).
This type of interaction (tap-to-login) does not use TOTP but instead relies on public key cryptography to verify the device. To support that, we would need to build a separate module that integrates YubiKey using U2F/WebAuthn protocols.
