Pre Sale Question: Will this plugin work with Formidable Forms (free version), or Formidable Forms Pro?
Hi,
Unfortunately no.
Formidable Forms integration for wpDataTables is an add-on and like that requires installed and activated wpDataTables and Formidable Forms plugins on your WordPress website to be able to work!
Thanks!
Sorry, I know this is an add-on for wpDataTables. My mistake, I wrote ‘plugin’ instead of ‘add-on’. Actually, I’m just confused whether it’s for Formidable Forms or Formidable Forms Pro or both.
Currently there is no editing function for form data, right? Looking forward to this feature in the upcoming updates. It’s for my clients.
Thank you!
As far as we know it should also work with the free version, though it is quite limited and we’re not sure how usable the combination would be, we were mostly testing it with full version,
Thanks!
Hi. Is there a way to add a column will a button or link or something that invokes the formidable edit function?
Hi,
Sorry, didn’t quite understand what would you like to do. Can you please open a support ticket in our support platform: https://tmsplugins.ticksy.com/, and please give more details about this.
Thank you!
Actually, I see the answer above (in your reply MichaelSmythDesign). I really have a need to be able to displaythe Formidable shortcode for editing the form via Formidable someway or another. I am not looking to edit within wptables, but using the Formidable form which gets invoked via a shortcode. Hopefully you’ll be adding the capability of adding the shortcode sometime soon in the future. Thanks.
Hi again,
Adding editing is one of top priorities for the Formidable Forms addon, unfortunately this task has quite a lot of prerequisites and dependencies to take care of, so it won’t be delivered quite soon,
As for the shortcode edit action: perhaps it can be implemented as a custom solution. We will look into that,
Thanks!
Will the Formidable Forms plugin work with the Report Builder addon? So you can create a DOCX or XLSX and use the Additional Variables option? Thanks.
Hi there, thank you for your inquiry, and sorry for the delayed reply,
Yes, it is compatible, Formidable-based tables can work with Report Builder, and then you can use additional variables on the report.
Thanks
I dont think I was clear in my question. I want to fill out a Formidable Form, then click the completed button. That would generate the DOCx or XLSX with my template filled out. Instead of using the additional variables as the form fields, I would use Formidable Forms.
It is clear now, thanks,
Unfortunately for the moment it would not be possible without some additional customization.
Thanks!
So excited about the integration! Does this allow you to add editing and deleting buttons for the entries per user?
Hi there, thank you for your inquiry,
Unfortunately not yet, but we are working in adding AJAX loading and editing for the Form-based wpDataTables.
Thanks!
Thanks for your reply. Just to make sure I’m asking the right questions and to try and clarify: Formidable has shortcodes that I am currently using in my own tables that link back to the original entries so the user can edit the form. Is there no way to insert those shortcodes in the tables besides manually?
Hi again, sorry for the delayed reply,
If I understand right, unfortunately not at the moment. Currently only entires themselves can be displayed, and can’t be edited or deleted from table view – but this will be our area of focus for next major update.
So I am using the Formidable Forms integration for wpDataTables and it works on most of my data. HOWEVER I have one form with right under 50K entries and it is taking a long time making the data table. Using the addon for this form going to work? or should I try another way..
Hi there, thank you for your inquiry, and sorry for the delayed reply.
At the moment all of the entries are loaded at once, so unfortunately 50K entries would probably overload the page.
In new versions we plan to implement AJAX/Server-side processing for Formidable Forms-based tables, which should allow smooth handling of such cases.
can i use this script in sub folder. this is my music website – http://www.beatsnoop.com
Hello, this new addon seems to be an amazing solution, although my current needs go for something specific and I hope these new releases can solve it. I have two questions: 1. I would like to know if it’s possible with this addon and your main plugin to create a new column in the table with a button or link to print individual submissions with selected fields (configured previously in backend) showing a preview before printing (not to print all submissions view, just to print the selected submission). This would be a great feature. 2. If it’s possible the point 1, will be possible to show this button or link (for printing) in conditional if another field is filled or selected with some option, in another case to keep it hided.
I hope you can implement these functions in case not yet (and hope you have understood me, sorry if my english is not good enough). Greetings.
Hi there, thank you for your inquiry,
We will take a look into that, unfortunately wouldn’t be possible with current functionality. Next up features are more related to editing of the form entries.
Thanks for the idea!
Hi guys, I am using Formidable Pro for my data source, their database schema is slightly different to what i am used to, they use one column .item.meta to save all form entries. Do you have any examples on how to query this using the SQL feature in your plugin, this is so i can add front end editing. Thanks
Unknown error when submitting a support ticket.
Hello, I have purchased this plugin as I have been waiting for a very long time I did however not fond any information on how the plugin calls the data from Formidable pro database schema. I know SQL queries can be advanced but because of the schema all data is stored in one column the items.meta. do you have the basic syntax to call entries from Formidable Pro database as an example. Especially a simple form entry. When I go to write a query I’m unsure if there are multiple tables and joins that are required. I can retrieve the item.meta but not in does of entries.
Thanks Chris
Hi there, thank you for your purchase,
Could you please try to submit a ticket once again on https://tmsplugins.ticksy.com/ ? Ticksy resolved some temprorary issues and hopefully it should be stable now.
Thanks
Can you give us some example how it looks like for formidable and gravity forums? You can upload it to your youtube channel
Hi there, thank you for your inquiry,
Of course, we are filming a demo which we will upload as video to YouTube. For the moment you can see on the screenshots how it looks: https://wpdatatables.com/documentation/addons/gravity-forms-integration/ https://wpdatatables.com/documentation/addons/formidable-forms-integration/Thanks!
