I’m struggling with Foldable. I;m attempting to initialize it via Javascript. Ive confirmed the foldable.js is loaded as is the CSS.
When the .foldable object in JS is being initialized, I always receive “foldable is not a function”. I suspect this is due to the fact that I am dynamically creating the outer div and inner section/divs via javascript. Could that be the problem?
I’ve confirmed the foldable.js is being properly loaded…
Dang it the add-to-cart function combined with login etc confused me and I ended up buying the same exact product – foldable – twice.

Hi, usually those overlay menus have a problem when using anchors instead of href links. So do my menu items have to have links to other html files (contact.html, aboutus.html) or external websites or can I also use anchors (#contact, #aboutus) as menu items?
If I understood it well, you need that your children links must to have href as anchor links, if this is your need, the answer is yes.
Foldable consider “trigger” the elements inside of the accordion that have the data-foldable-role=”trigger” attribute (unless you update this option through js options), so your children elements would be normal links.
All my links are anchors !!! Like a usual one-pager. There are no http links in the menu, it´s only anchors. Here is an example of my menu: <nav> Story Models Contact </nav>
So my question is, do links like #story, #models and #contact work with your plugin???
Ok, I see… Checking out your structure I see that you have only one level without children, so you don’t need an accordion, isn’t it?
Keep in mind that Foldable is an accordion plugin, so you need almost a one nested level to use it.

Hey thinking about purchasing. But is there any way that you could do a horizontal version as well? To keep it responsive at a certain screen width it changes it to a vertical on (like it is currently). Thanks

Foldable is not prepared to be horizontal as an option. It is more intended to have an accordion behaviour than a “slide”.
We have no plans to add this feature for these reasons.

Do you mean the animations?
You can set the opening animation and the closing independently, so you can create your custom animations on these events.
Also, it’s included a set of predefined css animations ready to use.

Ok, now I understand what you need.
Simply setting the accordion fixed at bottom, it will automatically open upwards. This is the normal behaviour of browsers in this situation.

I don’t really understand what you need in this case.
Your foldable__item is located at the target of the last nested childs and you need that this element overlaps its group trigger? If this is the case, this is a behaviour out of the box of Foldable, but I think with some styles, you could achieve it.
Can you be more explicit please?
As an advice, I strongly recommend the use of reset.css and normalize.css together with Foldable to visualize 100% correctly base styles.
It was solved, I just had to switch the order of the DIVs, in HTML code: target (child) first and trigger (parent) below.
