can’t get it to work in my application. can only get it to work in a demo in it’s own directory. once i merge to my app, it no longer works. what kind of data can this output? simple data? any kind of data? how does the table need to be written a certain way?

Also I noticed the colspan elements are the content of the root cell duped.
Example:
<td colspan="3">Test</td>
Would yield:
Test,Test,Test
Is there anyway to just clear out the duplicate entries or is this a bug?

This isn’t a bug. When columns (or rows) are spanned all data are duplicated in these cells.

Everything is working great but I am having a minor issue. It will export up to around 400-500 rows (CSV) but after that it won’t. In my firebug it’s showing a recursive post to the export.php page. Can you give me any pointers?

At this moment there is no such functionality. This script export data to open formats only, like: XML or CSV , but if you are really interested – I’m open to discuss.

Please check this item: http://codecanyon.net/item/sql-document-generator/full_screen_preview/120985 – It allows you to export data directly from the database into multiple formats like CSV , XML, PDF , XLS. It fully supported UTF -8 encoding.
