You need to enter the required parameter in the theme config. On the Content Settings, click the Article Tab and enter your Search Article (Google CSE ID). If still having issue, please create a ticket and send access param via the ticket.
Can this be installed on cPanel?
Yes. The documentation shows the installation was done on cpanel. P.S: this is a theme for AuthorMATIC. You need to get AuthorMATIC to use this theme.

I really love the look and feel of this however when I try your demo and I type in search word it gives me search results of the internet (with external sites). Does it not just search the documents on your own site?
The current search uses Google Custom Search engine. I will update this to native search in the future.

Docskit is a theme for AuthorMATIC. If you will need to get the main script instead. About the customization, If the extended license permit that and you can study/modify my code, why not?

Yes you can add any youtube or vimeo video link and the system will auto-embed(Auto-embed Media Stream) it if you have the embed plugin enabled.

You can embed and add code in you article as shown on the demo. I am working on live chat and Sitemap plugins. For the live chat, I wish to use a third party chat system that allows embedding the moderator system on your own site; still searching….
this project looks interesting. im going to try it before i buy it. i have been looking for a documentation/kb/faq script since january. none here have piqued my interest. this one though O.o very appealing

Well, there is some knowledge that takes alot of time to prepare. e.g server administration tasks that could have taken months to come up with a documentation. these, if a user is subscribed to a support plan, they have acess to that knowldge.
Also, check out nextcloud, they have a similar model. Sometime i might chose to offer software free of charge, but documentation is offered as paid…
