I say this based on your explanation. Don’t we need to choose certain ad types via admob? Or did you mean that we don’t need to make advertising codes in the game?

Regarding Admob, we only described how you can configure it and didn’t mention how it should be loaded. Also, I’d like to point out that it is better to update the Admob plugin to the latest version because it is not new.
