Sent a message through the Envato support on this page (2 days ago). No responses received yet! Now try this way to contact wponline support. Use the Blog Designer – Post and Widget Pro in WordPress with Elementor. I immediately run into something that isn’t working properly. The Post Slider provides multiple arrows. 2 types of arrows run through each other. I use multiple Post Sliders on one page and on mobile it only shows the arrows on 1 slider. One of the arrow is coming from another plugin. They have applied the CSS on slider global class. This is not the appropriate way becasue many other plugin can use the same JS library. Please refer to the screenshot https://prnt.sc/lVhiRQRqHgcp
Please add below CSS (Without dash—line) to Plugin Settings > CSS or WordPress Appereance > CSS and save it.

Has the Pro version of this plugin been abandoned? I see the free version of the plugin on WP.org received an update as short as 2 months ago.

No, Plugin is not abandoned. It already has been tested with the latest version of WordPress and working fine.
So no major update that’s way it has not been updated.

Just sent a message through the Envato support on this page. I can’t get the shortcode to show anything other than every post in every category. It won’t change no matter what category I use in the shortcode and even shows posts that don’t have a category associated with anything. Please help.
Ok, disregard. After a lot of troubleshooting I found out that is was the theme. I use Avada and there is a conflict with having the Avada builder option for Blog checked on.

Does this have the taxonomy/category feature for all the blog layouts? Where you can select “All, Reviews, Diary, Etc.” and it switches categories within the layout?

I received today a notification (through email) about the updated version of your plugin but there is no option to update the plugin from within wordpress installation. What should i do?

Codecanyon does not provides automatic update inside plugins section. You need to download the latest copy from codecanyon. After that, go to plugins > Blog designer post and widget > deactivate and delete. Once done, please install the latest copy Blog designer post and widget that you have downloaded from Codecanyon.
Would this plugin be able to edit the archives template? My main goal is to be able to bring in posts dynamically based on the category page.

i have a question. We have a custom post type (event). We can use this – thats all fine. But: We want to order the events with a custom field. Because otherwise we can`t oder it by the date of the events. do you know what i mean? Can you adjust the plugin so that we can order the posts by custom fields? thank you very much for your answer!

Yes. Because these are core changes and we do not have filter for this . If there is any design related issue then we can fix that with template overriding . There will be a small change in the code in your case if you add custom field with ACF plugin. Then we need to make a very small change in the coding and you can also manage that code after updating the plugin. Is that ok?

1) Please go to your theme and create path : blog-designer-for-post-and-widget-pro/grid-box-slider/design-4.php
That means you need to create all these dir’s and also copy the design-4.php file from plugin and paste in to your theme. Path of dir’s should be same as shown above.
2) Replace line no 20 this code. $dynamic_height = (($image_height/2)-2);
3) Replace ‘6’ instend of ‘5’ in whole file(design-4.php).

Actually the plugin display the brief content of the post text without any HTML tag. We display number of words in that so we can not display HTML in it otherwise page will break after number of words with HTML.
When you edit the post you can see ‘Excerpt’ – (A Short Handy Craft Content) which will be useful in this. You can enter your brief content over here and check.

No, Right now there is no built in functionality like this. Plugin takes the post content from one function so you can change in that one place and will affect to all places.

You can use orderby=”rand” For example : [wpspw_post orderby=”rand”]
You can check each shortcode parameters with preview from Plugin Menu > Shortcode Generator easily.

Go to plugin setting and select the page post type. Like this you can pass the page id also.

Yes, you can modify your theme achieve page. Plugin is created with shortcode so you can do_shortcode in your theme archives page with dynamic category id.
You have to pass limit=”20” parameters in shortcode for number of post to display.
