Final Note — Lots to Like, But CPT Users Should Proceed With Caution
To be clear, there are many things I genuinely like about WP Maps Pro. The interface is polished, the clustering is excellent, the filtering is smooth, and for users working with native WordPress posts and the plugin’s built‑in category system, it delivers a strong experience.
However, buyers should be aware that the plugin’s advertised support for custom post types is not fully communicated. While CPTs can be displayed on the map, their taxonomies cannot be used for filtering, marker icons, or categorization. This means CPT support exists only in a technical sense, not in a practical, real‑world sense.
For projects that rely on custom post types with taxonomies — which is standard for structured WordPress development — this limitation is significant and should be clearly stated in the product description.
