For the last year customers who bought the auction addon has been requesting upgraded features etc and there has not been ANY improvements on this addon in more than a year…when can we expect an update on this addon with more features as suggested and requested? My site doesn’t even use this addon now as it lacks the features suggested by multiple customers to make this worth while.. Please we urge you to prioritize this addon as well with some new upgraded features. Thanks a mill

Please add an option that shows what bids were placed by previous users, displaying only 2–3 characters of the name. Also show the bid amount. For example: P*T. All bids should be visible, but the full names should not be shown.

Bought another few add-ons and was excited to see this being updated until I saw that once again ONLY for compatibility. Just have to say that is it disappointing that I purchased this add-on a while ago, a lot of clients also gave some suggestions of what we would like to be added to add-on. With this update there is not even ANY new features added after more than a year. I am happy with this cms and other add-ons but the AUCTION add-on has been forgotten it seems

There is no option to edit auction products, which is a very serious issue. If there is any incorrect entry, there’s no way to fix it. It puts us in a very bad situation. Since this add-on was launched, there haven’t been any significant updates. Please provide an update with a solution.

While listing the auction product, 1. Although the categories and main category is selected, it does not reflect in the product listing page and neither it shows in the categories 2. The most important thing is the attributes fields that defines the product. They are not visible in the add auction page. Is this issue limited to me ?

Categories and Main Categories: While the categories and main category are selected during the auction product listing, they currently do not reflect in the regular product listing page or category views. This is because auction products are treated as a separate entity to keep them isolated from regular product flows, ensuring better management and a clearer distinction between auctions and normal listings.
Attribute Fields: The attribute fields you mentioned, which typically define a product’s specifications, are not visible in the “Add Auction” page. This is because auction products are configured to focus on bidding and related auction-specific features rather than following the attribute structure of standard products.
Your detailed explanation helps to understand, basically its an addon to ride auctions, but the only that remains common is the platform to run, other than that – nothing is reutilized from the listing platform except for the login credentials of buyers and sellers with basic incremental auction option.

Thats fine if you will implement. Just imagine as a buyer or product owner(not as a company/developer). Will leave to you. We may do away with auction add-on from the app as of now. Even if you provide it at higher price but with basic features, will buy later for sure. For us, we need to be business friendly with basic requirements at least to be there. thanks

Sellers are not able to view the auction option in their control panel. Is it only for admins to list auction item? Admins are only product managers. Sellers are the one who will be selling their products. Do clarify the functionality – is it only with admin or sellers can list too.
From Setup & Configuration > Feature Activation > Auction Product for Seller in admin panel, turn on for the sellers.

Presale question. Back to what Pieter7 said. I agreed with him and the others too. Especially when bidder like to troll the bid. We here call “Joybidder” which love to enjoy bidding but didn’t want to make payment. I would like to ban this user permanently until the end of their life.
Now, back to the question what Pieter7 said. If the winner didn’t get any notification or secure the payment before bidding, you should implement this. The best to secure ecommerce platform is to get rid of the scammer. That’s important.

Pre sales questions: is it possible when a user click on bid, the bid update without page reload. ? Since page reload can sometimes take more than 10 secs to reload.
This option is not available and maximum customer do not want such feature still now. If customer demand will turn on this, it will be added.
