I have the following questions:
1. Where can I view the ‘to do’ list I see people here referring to?
2. Is it possible to scrape movie/actor/etc. info from sites other than themoviedb and imdb?
3. I’m assuming information scraped will be stored in a local database. So, how does MTDB deal with any differences that may occur between the locally stored information and that on themoviedb and imdb? For example, either site may update their info. Or I edited my local data.
4. I would modify the layout of my MTDB site, to add regions with other bits of information. Would my work be undone if I were to update/install a newer version of MTDB?

1. It’s an internal list, not publicly available unfortunately.
2. It’s possible, but would require code modifications.
3. The data is updated periodically on user visit to the movies/series page. You can prevent this on titles you have modified manually.
4. It depends, if you didn’t overwrite the files you modified then, no.
3. MTDB is able to recognize if a page was changed/updated at one of the sources, since the last visit? If I choose for MTDB not to overwrite my local data for a particular title, it will still inform me that there are changes at the sources so I could update manually if I wish to do so?
No, it will just update the data periodically (will fetch new episodes every 6-7 days for series for example).
As for overwriting, no, it will not inform you if you choose not to update a particular title.

As for the ratings, no, that is not possible at the moment (not without code modification at least).

It’s possible to create those pages, but it would require some code modifications.
As for the reviews, not that is not possible at the moment.

If you are using tmdb as data provider and specify your language it dashboard trailers should be fetched in that language (if available).

After some months using this script i love it!! Some things im missing very much are:
- User comments with like system and reply integrated so members wont have to login to an external service.
- Similar/Recommended movies/series. I know you had it before and removed it for some reason but its crucial. Please add it again.
- Rating system where members can rate the movies/series. The TMDB/IMDB/Metacritic is great but our own members cant rate them…
- Add also the watchlist/favorite to episodes. As for now if a member adds an episode in the watchlist he/she adds all the series and not only the episode
- Allow members to select nickname with social login or change it later. A lot of people dont want to use their real name from facebook or google+

You will want to check out the streaming plugin here on codecanyon. As for the local streams, as long as those videos are accessible via internet you will be able to stream them.

I meant there’s a plugin for mtdb here on codecanyon specifically for streaming functionality.
As for azure media service, not sure as I can’t used it before, but if they provide some kind of embed link then it should work.
