Hi very nice plugins i got some pre purchase question i will be using this plugin for Restaurant food delivery so my client wants. 1.if customer purchase more than $40 delivery cost will be free. 2. if less than $40, Delivery charge will be $5 extra. 3.if delivery area is more than 5 km will charge extra$10. 4.is it possible to make mendatory, if customer try to proceed checkout when amount is less than $20 (minimum delivery must be $20)
I’m afraid very little of this is doable with this plugin, but I do have a more advanced shipping plugin that will be able to handle much more of this. I would check out the Table Rate Shipping for WooCommerce plugin. With that plugin you could set a minimum purchase price to receive a delivery cost as well as change the price depending on how much they have ordered. The only trouble you may have is the 5km distance rule. None of my plugins use distances, however the Table Rate plugin could use postal codes if that’s helpful.
http://codecanyon.net/item/table-rate-shipping-for-woocommerce/3796656Hello,
It seems a nice plugin, but I have a question. I need to set free shipping based on value and region. Example:- If my costumer is based on continental Portugal he pays 3.49€ for shipping and 0€ for 75€+ order.
- If my costumer is based on the Portuguese Islands he pays 15.99€ for shipping and 0€ for 150€+ order.
Many thanks, André
It’s not really possible with this plugin. I would recommend viewing my other shipping plugin for WooCommerce. It has zone support so you will be able to setup different costs based on location from a single plugin.
http://codecanyon.net/item/table-rate-shipping-for-woocommerce/3796656Many thanks for the fast reply!
And with that plugin, is it possible to do what I’ve mentioned above? Or work something that will help me get near there?
Thanks again, André
Absolutely, you can set it up just as you described. You’ll need two zones, one for each part of Portugal, and then two rows in the table for each zone (that’s a total of 4 rows). Each row stands for a different rate and you can setup a condition based on the subtotal of the cart to determine which one the customer qualifies for.
Pre-sales question:
I am looking to apply a shipping rate of 10% of the price of a product added as a line item labeled “shipping” (or something similar) in the checkout process. The products are all different prices. Some products may need a 15% shipping fee instead of a 10% shipping fee. If multiple products are ordered, then the 10% fee applies to each one individually and then the total is summed up.
Can this plugin do that?
Thanks!
This plugin cannot, but my other shipping plugin can and it looks like you have asked this question there as well:
http://codecanyon.net/item/table-rate-shipping-for-woocommerce/3796656/comments?#comment_6708034Hi, This is a pre-sale question. I would like to set a flat rate shipping fee (lets say $5) if the cart total is above $40, else it will use another shipping method. Is it possible to do so with this plugin? If so then I will buy it right away.
Thanks.
Absolutely. This plugin will not return a rate unless the customer qualifies for all of the conditions, so if you set a minimum cart total of $40, the rate will not be returned unless the customer has ordered at least $40 in products.
Thanks a lot for the quick reply. I will buy it then
Hi, OK the plugin works great. So when the amount is 40 or more, it does show the custom rate that I created with this plugin. My question is – it is still showing multiple shipping options as drop down. Is there a way I could only display the custom shipping option and not display the other? Thanks.
I would check out this tidbit of code from WooThemes. If you read the comments in the code, it will walk you through how to hide one shipping method (or all) when a specific one is available.
http://docs.woothemes.com/document/hide-other-shipping-methods-when-free-shipping-is-available/You can find the shipping method IDs on the main page of the shipping tab. In the list of shipping methods on this page, the ID can be found beneath the title.
It worked perfect!!! Thanks my friend, really appreciate the help.
Absolutely, glad I could help!
Hello and thanks for the plugin!
I need to realize a weight based calculation shipping method. Installed your plugin. Enetered the needed values. Entered the weight of the products. Everything is ok. BUT when i try to buy some stuff my cart always shows shipping FREE …. no calculation is made.
What can I do???
Thanks for your help!
There are a few fields above the table that can override the shipping price. Have you entered anything into these values? If not, please respond with a link to a screenshot so that I can see your settings and be able help you better. Thank you
Hi There,
Thanks for developing such a good plugin. It works perfectly for my store. But Now I have a situation where I needed to create a shipping class called framed posters which should charge $15.00 flat. I added this class under exclude class but all that does is give free shipping.
Note: I am only using this shipping plugin and nothing else is enabled
Thanks once again
I’m afraid this shipping method is designed to be very simple. If you need to group your items together and assign a different shipping scheme to each group, the my Table Rate Plugin would be better.
The best I could do for you with just this plugin, is to run two instances of the plugin, one for each class, and then use my “Multiple Packages” plugin that would split up the shipping options so instead of having one select box you would have two when the customer orders both products. If you want to go this route, please send me a message through my profile (and mention this post) and I will provide the file you need to create a second instance of this method.
http://wordpress.org/plugins/multiple-packages-for-woocommerce/Before I purchase this plugin, I would like to know: price ranges are set with this plugin?
For example:
from 0 € to 100 € 5
from 101 to 200 € 7
Does This plugin work so?
I hope yes.
Thank you for answer

If I have to also combine international transport is better http://codecanyon.net/item/table-rate-shipping-for-woocommerce/3796656 this plugin? Do I have to buy them both?
Yes, this plugin works with ranges, it is just setup a little differently. However, it only returns one rate no matter where the customer is located. The table rate plugin you mentioned in your second post is much more advanced. It is also setup the way you mentioned before, by setting up a Min, Max, and Shipping Price. If you purchase the table rate plugin you will not need this one (cart based). It can handle anything this one will, plus more, and it will also be able to manage the shipping for multiple countries.
You have been precious. For having both (the function of the price range and international transport one) I only have to buy the second plugin. Is it correct? Thanks a lot
Yes, correct. You can set up the Table Rate plugin just like the Cart Based, except with Table Rate you would have the ability to setup different ranges and costs for the two shipping zones you would have.
Pre-Sales question! Can this plugin achieve my following scenario? Self define shipping rate based on my country state….
I stay in Malaysia, there are west and east Malaysia. I want east Malaysia price A and west Malaysia price B…. When checkout then customer gotta choose state from drop down list … there detect which is west and which is east and show shipping price correctly ….
This plugin cannot change the rate based on the customer’s shipping address, however I do have one plugin that can but it looks like you have already posted a question there.
http://codecanyon.net/item/table-rate-shipping-for-woocommerce/3796656I need to create s hipping option for a woocommerce site http://www.godfatherpizzawoodoven.co.uk/ that doesn’t work unless the customer order more than £10 will this plugin do that
basically Im trying to create a cash on delivery option that will only show up if the customer pays more than £10
You can definitely setup this plugin to have a minimum. If your rate has a Minimum subtotal of £10, then the rate will not appear until that minimum is met. If no shipping rate is returned, then the customer cannot continue checking out until that minimum is met.
I think i have just purchased the wrong plugin by mistake- I need to change the shipping price per country & weight. I dont think its possible with this plugin. Can i get a refund pls so i can purchase the “Table Rate Shipping for WooCommerce” Thanks
I’m afraid I do not have any responsibility over transactions on this website. You would have to speak with envato’s support time about this.
Pre-sale Question
I want to charge a standard shipping rate of $10.00 but for any additional item added to the cart I want to increase the shipping rate by $2.
Would this plugin do this option for me?
Thank you
This one could, but only if you input the price for every item. It wouldn’t be very efficient. My Table Rate plugin would be able to do this in one line, however, so I would recommend taking a look at this.
http://codecanyon.net/item/table-rate-shipping-for-woocommerce/3796656Hello,
I can not get this plugin to appear in my settings tab. I have disabled all my plugins and even uninstalled some and nothing. I am not sure if the Theme is the issue but either way I can not get this item to work.... Thank you in advance.
M.Byrd
I think I may know the issue here. It is something that has been fixed for an upcoming update but it is likely the problem here. For whatever reason, sometimes WooCommerce, when manually installed, is installed in a folder titled something other than ‘woocommerce’. Currently the plugin looks for it specifically in this folder, so if the title is anything else, the plugin will think WooCommerce does not exist and therefor not properly activate.
There are two ways to fix this temporarily. First, you can rename the WooCommerce folder to ‘woocommerce’. Doing this should not affect anything else. It may temporarily deactivate the plugin, so you will need to login to your dashboard and reactivate it. Second, if you don’t want to do the first, you can modify the plugin. On line 22 you can change the directory path to match the title of your actual WooCommerce folder.
Hello, I would like to buy the plugin, but I need to know if I will serve me. What I need is to set a minimum value for shipping. if the minimum is not purchased for sending this delivery option does not appear. I can do this with the pluging? Best Regards
Not yet but it is already added to the short list of additions for the next version. I can try to work on this over the next day or two if that is helpful. The changes will not involve much time.
Pre-sales-question:
Can I also create different shipping methods for different user roles? E.g.: Customer-group 1 always gets free shipping (currently set via standard shipping method in WooCommerce). Customer-group 2 requires a minimum order of $99 to get free shipping, else they have to pay.
This plugin does not currently have user roles built in, but there is a way to manage multiple instances of this plugin. I have a shortcut file that unfortunately did not make it into the downloadable file yet, but I can provide it via email after you have purchased the plugin. It works sort of like a child theme in that it draws everything but the settings from the primary plugin. You would just have different settings pages for each instance. With WooTheme’s user role plugin, they have a way to select which shipping methods apply to each role. You could select one instance for one role, and the second instance for the second role. Then they would have their own set of rules. You can run as many instances as you would like.
I have the user role plugin so I guess that could work. Is the “shortcut file’ easy to implement? Am not much of a tech person …
Absolutely. I have 2 already setup, but if you need more than that it is very easy to modify.
OK then – I just bought and downloaded the plugin. Please send me the shortcut file and let me know how to implement it.
Any time now would be good ...
You need to contact me first. I am not allowed to contact customers until they have emailed me first so I do not have any information for you. Please visit my profile page and send me a message through there.
Hi there. It has been ages, but I have an issue, that has been somewhat annoying me for a while: I can only enter net shipping costs in two figures. This causes a rounding error. E.g.: I want 3.90 gross shipping costs. This means I need to enter 3,645 net costs at 7% VAT. But I can only enter 3,64 (gross: 3,89) or 3,65 (gross: 3,91). Is there any way around this?
Sure, I’ve had a few complaints about this lately so I will be removing the formatting in the next version. The only validation will be to ensure that it is a number. To avoid it for now, you can open up the main file and comment out the following line by adding a double slash (//) to the beginning of the line. This is the line that formats the cost field.
Line 1541$table_rate_cost[$i] = wc_format_decimal( $table_rate_cost[$i], get_option( 'woocommerce_price_num_decimals' ), false );
Hi, Nice looking plugin, My Client requires custom shipping charges – if 1 – 3 items are ordered shipping is $8.00 each item after is $4.00. is this possible with this plugin.
Thanks
If I understand correctly, yes, that sounds doable. Is it an $8 flat rate for the first 3 items? Because this number is not easily divided by 3, you’ll need to do a little extra setup but it’s definitely possible. You can create a handling/base fee for $8, and then say that items 1 – 3 have shipping of $0 (the base fee will cover this one). Then in a second table row, Items 4 – * will have a cost of $0, and in the Bundle column, qty = 3, Cost = 4. That should give you the scenario you are looking for.
I try the demo but show em a message “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.” Can you help me?
I apologize, it looks like I did not update the URL after the upgrade to WC 2.1. Please try again. I have just changed it.
Just bought the plugin, rly works nice. Exactly what i needed.
Thank you, I’m glad it could help
Hello, When placing a manual order (via wp admin) and clicking calculate totals with the Cart Based shipping method selected, the shipping calculation doesn’t occur. Is there a setting to activate this?
Thanks!
I honestly do not know that WooCommerce has this feature. The purpose of a custom order is to be able to customize anything, including the shipping. For example, sometimes your customers have a complex order and they go through you to get a deal that they could not get through the shipping plugin on your site. The ‘Calculate Totals’ button only adds together everything. If I select Flat Rate or another method included, my total still comes up without a shipping cost because I left this field blank.
thanks so much for your reply. yes, i guess i misunderstood how that should work.
I just purchased this extension and it seems to work pretty well. The only time I am seeing an issue is when someone modifies the number of items they have in their cart.
For example, if you have 3 products, and change it to 4, the shipping values goes from the actual cost to displaying “Please use the shipping calculator to see available shipping methods.” Cart based is the only shipping method I have enabled.
Any suggestions on how to make it update automatically with the correct shipping information?
Thanks
Also, after going through the checkout process, I get this message “Sorry, shipping is unavailable to the United States (US). If you require assistance or wish to make alternate arrangements please contact us.” I check to ensure that the United States was selected for sales as well as where we ship to, but still get that message.
I cannot make any promises when it comes to compatibility with other third party scripts, but I can certainly try and see if it’s something on my end that can be adjusted. The thing I don’t understand is, if you rates are based on item count, why would a subtotal change affect this plugin? Especially if it goes through as a discount after the fact, it really should not interfere with the calculations of shipping costs.
I think the only way I can really help is to see the plugin in action, and print out a few variables to find out what is changing. Would you be able to PM me through my CodeCanyon profile with login credentials for your site? If I can at least figure out why it is not showing up, then perhaps we can figure out where the problem is.
The rates are based on the total in the cart, so if you add/subtract from the cart, then it will change the subtotal and possibly change the shipping. I thought it had to do with another extension (bulk discount extension) but when I disabled that, I am still seeing the same issue. PM inbound! Thanks for such a quick reply.
I just emailed over the login credentials from the email form on your profile. I didn’t see a PM button. Let me know if you don’t get it! Thanks again
You found the right area. I did receive your email and will respond there when I know more. Thank you!
Turns out this was user error. Bolderelements was a great help and everything is up and running perfectly. Thank you again for your time!
boulderelements,
Is it possible with your cart based shipping plugin to have a fixed delivery fee per n items, e.g. cost to ship 4 items = X, cost to ship 8 items = 2X etc?
Thanks, Jamie
It’s only possible if you set up each row, so no, not necessarily 2X. It would need to be written out something like this:
0+ = X
4+ = Y
8+ = Z
So as long as I write out a rule for each price, up to an arbitrary number of products in the cart, this plugin is suitable?
Yes, correct.
