Pre-purchase question:
I am in the process of redesigning a clients blog. Her current theme is a mere 880px wide while the new theme is 1100px wide. She has a few thousand posts each with several images uploaded.
If you look in the text editor the images are loaded as “Large” and show a size of about 680px wide. This is too narrow for the new theme. I have tried to change the “large” thumbnail size in the Media settings and then running “regenerate thumbnails” to no avail.
Question – will this plugin solve my dilemma? There are too many images to manually resize them. All of the images have originals in the media folder that is large enough to fit the larger size.

the plugin allows you to create a custom image size and use it in the EDITOR so also with Imager you would need to open all posts and change the images manually adding them in the editor one more time to change the size..
Probably the solution is that you just checked.. To edit the “large” size in media setting and regenerate the thumbs. But before you have to assure you that in the editor there are effectively the “large” thumbs and not another size..
Another problem could be that the original images have not enough pixels for your sizes.. So the regeneration will fail to missing of pixels.

Sure, the watermark is added using a css class so when you disable the option it will disappear.

owh css, if some one save my image ? with watermark or jus image?
If a user save the image from web he will see the watermark on the image because that image is automatically and temporarily generated from the server (it’s not the original).. Try to save it by yourself in the demo.

as I said the watermark feature starts its work when the image has a specific css class, so our js will edit the image..
So we added the option in the add media button on the editor, but if you want we could change the target for the watermark on another specific class or also on the IMG tag.. (but pay attention: with the IMG tag you will have the watermark everywhere, also on your logo 
)

Hi Is there any way for logged in users without access to the backend to use this tool. The users of my site enter their data via a form which is then published as a post. The form has a field they can use to upload images but they load all sizes of images and can’t crop them within the site as they have no access to the backend.
Is there any way for them to crop their images to size using this tool from the front end to access only their own uploaded images or use this tool while uploading e.g. via popup?

1. Yes
2. Imager allows custom image sizes and the watermark, but they are not automatic. You need to add an image from media button to enable watermark and choose the size. So it can’t work with the preview image of portfolio, only with the images added in the editor.
3. We don’t know when will be the next update.

to enable an automatic watermark there is no problem because it’s only a css class to add on the images of your portfolio (in the theme code).
But automatic resize is out of logic for our plugin structure. If you only need a specific size in the portfolio of your theme a workaround would be to add a different size on the theme code in the portfolio section.

I was looking at your demo and I’ve noticed that most of image effects on mouse-over doesn’t work in Internet Explorer 11 … Blur, sepia, desaturation, gray-scale, etc. .... there are no effects in IE 11.
Everything seems to be fine in Firefox and Chrome …
NOTE: all my browsers are the latest versions available.

Does your SHOW UP ANIMATIONS work only on images or can I animate any other page element?
Can show up animation be used for example on the text box, or on page title?

for IE we will solve the issues in the next release (there are some filters we need to update).
For the show up animation theoretically they was made for images but we think if you attach the relative classes to a div or something else it could work.
Obviously only manually attaching the css class on tags.

Hi, I bought this but it doesnt fit my needs. I need to be able to add two types of watermarks (LEASED image, and SOLD image) which I also need to be exactly in the CENTER of the original image. Can you please update your plugin so it can cater for TWO watermarks instead of only one? And can you allow watermark to be in the center please? I really really hope you can help with this. We need to display wordpress thumbnails in another size on a bootstrap3 homepage. The website uses another CMS but also carries a wordpress blog.
Can we install this plugin and display those thumbnails on the homepage of the website?

the plugin allows to create custom image sizes and to regenerate wp thumbnails, but the new sizes must be used in the WP editor.
The thumbnail of featured image is generated and managed from the theme.
So you need to open the single.php in your theme and change the thumb that it loads as featured image.
If you would use our plugin only for thumb sizes we advice to add in the theme functions.ph the following code:
add_image_size( 'size-name', 'width-in-px', 'height-in-px', true );
This advice goes against our interest but we feel to write it

So you say, we can add another featured image simply by adding a line of code? Not sure if we talk about the same.
The featured image is already used on two different spots (article listing on main site and recent posts too). I understand that this need to be changed in the php code but I would need to have an additional featured image. Or can this be done with your advice?
I also like the effects of this plugin but I’m not sure if they work as the wp blog is built within another CMS.

Too clarify: We need another custom size to show it on another page. If the effects would work and are not hard on loading times then it could work too.

yes the steps to change your theme are:
1. add image sizes in function.php
2. regenerate thumbnails with a plugin as -> http://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/
3. open all the templates that are displaying the various posts in your theme and find the code where the developer has called the “Featured Image” (commonly this function -> http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/the_post_thumbnail). You only need to call there your new size name, and the original feature image size will be replaced with your.
With Imager you can do only first 2 points. Obviously Imager has many other features too. We don’t know how it could work in the different CMS you are talking about but we can say imager works in WP editor (add meda button).

Imager only creates new image thumb sizes to use in the WP editor. So to attach a link to an image you only need to include the image in your post and then to put the url using the editor url button.

Take also in mind that if the image has not enough pixels for height or width WP will not crop it.
For example if you have an image 800×600 and a Imager size 500×500, wp will crop it well.
But if with the same original image you try to crop a size 700×700, wp will not crop the height because original image has less pixels.

Hi- will this plugin affect my current lightbox/gallery implementation? I’m using Social gallery and want to use that for all my galley/lightbox effect. So I just want to make sure that this does not have a lightbox effect of its own to interfere with Social Gallery.

plugin has not a lightbox interface and it can be only used under wp media section in the editor.
Imager also has a global setting to affect ALL images on the site (by css injection), but if you want you can take it disabled.

Looks like a great plugin. I’d really like to buy it but I’m only looking for the watermark functionality. I’ve checked other plugins out here and on wp.org but none are quite right. What are the odds of you creating a mini-plugin with just the watermark functionality in?

thanks for interest and feedback. We could think about to release a watermark plugin here in codecanyon but our fear is the missing of features. In this period codecanyon is only accepting plugins with many unique features.
Probably a plugin with only watermark fetaure will be hard rejected..
