after buying templatera I realized that is not useful, since I can create templates directly with visual composer. You may change it to a template to use as a base? my original language is Spanish, sorry if I did not explain better
Templatera will be updated soon and I’m sure you will like it. Currently you can manage templates with templatera in more convenient way and use enhanced features, for example reusing same template part (piece) on multiple pages.

Hi, two month ago you anwered to the user smrhosting that Templatera is working perfect with the theme “The7”. For me it is not working, the edit – template – page is not showing the Visual Composer Button, only the classic editor is available. So I can save templates but I can’t edit them. The version of VC is 3.7.3. / Templatera 1.02 Any idea?
Do you see “VC Templates” section in your WP Dashboard? for me it sounds like plugin isn’t activated.
Of course it is activated! How can I send you a screenshot? The page “Add Template” doesn’t show the Visual Composer button.

Can you elaborate more on what the “15 new CSS themes” entail and how to access them? The documentation doesn’t explain how to use it.
You can choose them in Settings->Visual Composer->Templatera this will change some stylings for the built in elements. But this feature is set to expire soon because of the low value for clients. Templatera will be more like a “tool”.
Hi, we purchased the plugin, we found the following problems: - Once you have created and saved the layout, we called back within the post, using the pull-down menu, and vieen replicated twice tabbed content module.
- If you activate the theme from the “add item” from the drop vicual composer, the theme is loaded without duplication, but you can not make any changes.

When you load previously saved template into the “Templatera” content element, it’s placed in your page, but if you need to edit it, you should go to the WP->Templatera and edit your template there. It can’t be edit directly.

Templater is addon for Visual Composer it extend Visual Composer default functionality, but even then you can edit your template files, with Visual Composer you can work with your WordPress sites content with drag and drop interface without spending to much time.

I have the extended license and I’m having issue with one thing. The templatera post type doesn’t have the Visual Composer button. I tried enabling it from Settings -> Visual Composer but there isn’t any setting for Templatera.
Any ideas?

Templatera ads nice things to the default Template system. Eg. You have new menu element in the your WP dashboard where you can see all your current templates and edit them easily. Also, Templatera adds new content element to your element list “Templatera”. New “Templatera” content element allows you to place pre-build templates as an independent blocks on your pages. When you modify your template, all pages that use “Templatera” block will be populated with new content automatically.
ok great. I have purchased Templetara already but it doesn’t accomplish the functionality I was really hoping for, which is the ability to create a template like normal or whatever BUT to have the ability for that template to be inserted into multiple pages and when you make a change inside a page (not from editing the templates from the VC Templates section) then That change on any page would reflect onto the other pages…
The reason why this is important is because im using Ultimatum to create custom designs, then VC to allow my clients to easily edit their websites. As easy as Visual Composer is to edit, now I have to explain to every client that “oh yes, it’s extremely easy to edit your content EXCEPT site wide shared areas like for instance the Header and Footer” so now this lovely plugin I’ve wrapped my site around as a sales tool for easy editing actually makes it more difficult because I have to now dictate on every new design Exactly which areas of the site you have to go to a whole new place to actually edit that area. You see how annoying that can be if I have to do that for let’s say 1,000 sites now? Just wish I could edit the template within the page and would reflect instantly on other pages without having to Go Into the Templates Area of the dashboard to edit them. easy for me… huge headache for clients. Can I pay you to customize this!? Or is there a solution?

Hi, Currently there are no templates included in templatera (and I don’t know anyone that have them for sale), but we have plans to extend this addon with some preset templates.
As the description is, to me, somewhat vague: is it possible to have templates, i.e. content structure (not actual content as in the description) described using templatera, so that one could have a predefined page structure on a page, which a user then can fill with text, images, whatever, but which the user cannot change?
Nope sorry. With templatera you can create template and then insert it to your page, then when you change your original template, changes will be reflected on all your pages where you inserted that template.

As per now it is impossible to drop in a template created in templatera in visual composer with the ability to edit it! Could you please consider adding this feature?

You can create “blank” template and then insert it to your page with Templates menu, not Templatera element.
Main Templatera’s feature is that it’s uneditable within the page where it is placed.

Please make sure your have “Templatera” element select for your user role under Settings->Visual Composer
I’m trying to activate the plugin but keep getting a message that VC has to be activated. It’s built into the theme I’m using. I thought you could use the VC extensions even if VC was built into the theme?
Most likely your theme author included Visual Composer without TGM activation class (which is required by ThemeForest guidelines).
Try placing this code in your theme’s functions.php file:remove_action('admin_notices', 'templatera_notice');
