i am using the same theme in other site, there its working fine. But on my live site its not working
1) Can you try enable wp-debug? http://codex.wordpress.org/WP_DEBUG
2) Try open console in your browser and check if you have any errors.
If you will see any errors, please post it. So you have problems only on live server? Can you contact your hosting support?
no error i checked console
shantanutripathi90,
So maybe problems in server configuration? PHP version or specific apache modules.
It’s hard to assist you, if you can’t provide access
I have purchased the warning old browser,I have a issue with it as the alert window is not coming on my home page but coming in all the other pages, I have set Show panel notice once check-box to Yes but the alert window still shows after refreshing. Please let me know what can be the issue.
shantanutripathi90,
What the WordPress theme do you use? Can you try to switch on default themes, Twenty Fourteen for example, maybe conflict with theme.
In other case, can you send request to our support directly with admin access http://support.fruitfulcode.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
i am using florida wp theme
It’s not a free theme. Can you try to switch on default theme or send us admin access.

http://screencast.com/t/f7KU3UVpNqmarketeroswebcolombia,
You need to have allow_url_fopen module on your server configuration, try send request to your hosting support. PHP function file_get_contents() not working on your server.
We have activate in server according to your instruccions and this plugin still doesn´t work, I want me money back. Furtheremore my server provider confirmed us, that this plug in its to risky to use
Install and activation was fine. But browser version option panel is block. Number is not visible.

juspier,
Looks like conflict with theme or other plugin. Can you send request with admin access to your website on our support.
http://support.fruitfulcode.com/hc/en-us/requests/newDo you need a ftp access?
Do you need a ftp access?
juspier,
Everything is okay?
yes. thanks for your support.
Test this with various combinations of IE and OS and this doesnt work. Not sure why you have such a high rating.
How do i get a refund?
rm65453,
If you logged on website as administrator, website working in normal mode. Warning message display for all other users, except site admin.
You can read the marketplace rules, regarding refund.
there is no message for unlogged users.
have spent half an hour trying to figure this out. paid plugins should be easy to use and not sure troubleshooting.
To see the warning message, you must have old browser version. Or choose latest versions in plugin options.
I have set version 9 for IE in the settings. tested with version 7 and 8 of IE in windows 7 and Windows xp. nothing showed up.
Doesnt even work in chrome 19.
rm65453,
Do you have warning message on plugin demo page? http://plugins.fruitfulcode.com/warning/For me it’s working. And I see warning message in IE7, IE8 and IE9
yes i do. its working on your plugin page but not on mine.
Do you have a latest version 1.5? Try to switch on default theme, disable all other plugins, maybe you have errors or conflicts with other plugins?
my website is live. let me try it on my test site.
I am using the latest 1.5
I have turned off all the plugins and still not working. the only thing left is the theme now.
Turned off the theme as well.
ok, so I am managed to figure out that its the wp-job-manager tags plugin that is causing the problem. I still need that plugin, what do I do.
rm65453,
I don’t see this plugin in official plugins directory on wordpress.org They are not free?
We can’t fix the problem which goes to other plugin, which was developed by other guys and not free.
Can i provide you with a copy for testing purpose?
Yes, can you send zip archive on our support email?
Done. hopefully this can get resolved. I need both the plugins on my site.
No response after the first initial email. Moved on to http://www.browser-update.org/ Does the job right without any troubleshooting.
Seems like a useful plugin, haven’t fully tested yet.
Is there a way to increase the size of the popup/modal window?
BTW, a note to anyone interested in purchasing this plugin: the warning message can be coded to include images and links to specific websites/pages etc, e.g a visual link to an alternative page or site. Very handy.
I’ve figured it out. Max height and width can be changed in frontend-br.js file.
Nice plugin, which works fine. Suggestion for an upgrade. If the test for a certain browser fails, icons for all browsers are shown. This can be confusing for inexperienced surfers. Why not only show the icon for the browser, which the user is using?
Thanks for suggestions, we will think about it.
hey there, this looks really great for what I need. Can I check first. My site is full CSS and so IE8 will not show the site. does this plugin kick in before the site renders? as the site won’t really work that great and so I would prefer that this plugin displays modal right away incase user left the site before seeing message.
thanks.
looktothestars,
Your website will be displayed as it is, if user has IE8 they will see a popup or warning message at top of website if you chose this option.
I purchased your plugin (today) and it installed fine. The issue is IF it is turned on, it will BLOCK Android Browsers from being able to see the pages WITHOUT first seeing the WARNING message. This needs to be fixed, otherwise your script (plugin) serves no real value.
Tested on both iPhone and Samsung Galaxy (S4 / S5) – Browser that break… Mobile Firefox, Mobile Chrome (Android), Opera, Dolphin and Boat (all browsers) and all current available versions. PLEASE ADVISE ASAP or a REFUND WILL BE IN ORDER!! Thank you.
fxdesigner1951,
Thanks for purchasing. We will check issues on mobile devices, and make changes in new plugin version.
Thanks for the reply. It is potentially a great plugin, but without some way of creating either exceptions to browser types or including these mobile browsers, the plugin has limitations. I double checked the versions – regarding mobile browsers, specifically Firefox and Chrome. – Firefox for Android is 29.0.1 and Chrome is 34.0.1847.114.
The WP settings panel, regardless of version selected, will throw false positive and block site / pages. Please advise, as this is a critical path timeline (project) issue – thank you.
fxdesigner1951,
We temporary removed mobile device detect. Warning old browser working for desktop browsers only.
Version 1.5 will be available soon, waiting for approvement.
Later we will add mobile browser versions and detect.
Your message is not clear. Will your plugin work when using a mobile device and detect is set to ON without blocking the mobile browser versions. If code change is required, please specify which files need to be changed and we will do it on our end. We need to have web site available on MOBILE DEVICES – over 60% of the market share view web sites on Mobile Devices – Desktops still have their use, but for a plugin like this, working ONLY on DESKTOP Units, is VERY LIMITING and virtually NOT very practical. Please advise – Thank you.
Warning message display only for desktop browsers. For mobile phones it’s not working. With current plugin version it’s not possible to detect all mobile browsers.
fxdesigner1951,
If you want customize plugin for your needs, you can send request for customization on our website. We will provide estimation and terms. Also mobile devices statistic http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_mobile.asp
What I want is a “plugin” that WORKS!!! Your plugin in truth is VERY LIMITED. It is NOT working as it implies it will. IT CAN NOT DETECT all browser types – it will ONLY WORK ON DESKTOPS (inherently limited as a viable solution). Desktops are almost NOT being used as a MAIN RESOURCE TOOL for browsing ( Mobile devices accounted for 55% of Internet usage in the United States in January. Apps made up 47% of Internet traffic came from mobile browsers, according to data from comScore, cited Thursday by research firm Enders Analysis. PCs clocked in at 45%.) – You to address this for your product to be considered.
Custom coding to “FIX” a deficiency in your product should be FREE. Personally, I feel you are NOT capable of truly fixing the problem and your product should be removed from this site.
It is my intention to inform CodeCanyon / Envato that you are presenting a product, that in fact does NOT do what you said it will do on your marketing page. My purchase was based on GOOD FAITH that your product works as advertised – IT DOES NOT!
Potential BUYERS BEWARE – In its current form, Using this product will PREVENT your MOBILE PHONES from DISPLAYING web sites that use this WordPress™ Plugin.
Compatible Browsers IE6, IE7, IE8, IE9, IE10, IE11, Firefox, Safari, Opera, Chrome
We don’t have notification for all mobile browsers, because it very huge amount.
Maybe later we will add this as feature, but at the moment we can’t add this quickly.
ios has updates for browsers, many android phones can’t update firmware which has default browsers.
fxdesigner1951,
Using this product will PREVENT your MOBILE PHONES from DISPLAYING web sites that use this WordPress™ Plugin.
What are you saying? Responsive and mobile website version will be display without any changes, plugin simple don’t make anything for phone browsers.
You can choose plugin settings for detect, IE9 and less, Chrome 30 and less, etc…
By the way – Your ‘STAT LINK’ is a bit misleading – this site “logs / tracks’ users specifically coming to THEIR WEB SITE – it does NOT reflect the true number of Cell Phone users who use the Internet VIA their MOBILE Device.
For a MORE ACCURATE understanding of who is using what, you should start here:
http://www.pewinternet.org/2013/09/16/cell-internet-use-2013/THIS STAT IS NOT MADE UP! (Read below):
Nearly two thirds of cell phone owners use their phone to go online, and one in five cell owners do most of their online browsing on their phone
Six in ten cell phone owners (63%) now go online using their mobile phones, an eight-point increase from the 55% of cell owners who did so at a similar point in 2012 and a two-fold increase over the 31% who did so in 2009. We call these individuals “cell internet users,” and they include anyone who:
Uses the internet on their cell phone (60% of cell owners do this), or Uses email on their cell phone (52% of cell owners do this) Taken together, 63% of cell owners do one or both of these things, and are classified as cell internet users. Since 91% of Americans are cell phone owners, this means that 57% of all Americans now go online using a mobile phone. The steady increase in cell phone internet usage follows a similar growth trajectory for smartphone ownership. Over half of all adults (56%) now own a smartphone, and 93% of these smartphone owners use their phone to go online.
fxdesigner1951,
Custom coding to “FIX” a deficiency in your product should be FREE.
Add new browsers, and make core plugin changes for customer needs, can’t be for free.
http://www.pewinternet.org/2013/09/16/cell-internet-use-2013/ THIS STAT IS NOT MADE UP! (Read below):
Old statistic too, and not everyone living in United States.
This product is USED in the U.S. – argue all you want. The bottomline – your product DOES NOT WORK BEYOND BEING USED ON A DESKTOP COMPUTER. Eastern Europe MAY use a larger share of outdated Desktops, but today’s internet is driven (GLOBALLY) by MOBILE DEVICES (old statistics or not) – If anything, the percentage of cell / smart phone users going online is HIGHER than the referenced report I provided.
My clients do NOT want to see a message on their site telling them they are using an OLD / OUTDATED BROWSER when in fact they are using the MOST CURRENT BROWSER available for their device.
It is better to just REMOVE the PLUG-IN and manually post a static message suggesting an alternative as opposed to using a so-called automated solution that simply does NOT WORK beyond DESKTOPS.
Have a good day, sir. Goodbye.
My clients do NOT want to see a message on their site telling them they are using an OLD / OUTDATED BROWSER when in fact they are using the MOST CURRENT BROWSER available for their device.
With latest plugin version 1.5, warning message not displayed for mobile devices, your client will see everything as usual on mobile device, what the problems?
If you enable plugin setting for display warning message for user, who have Internet Explorer less than version 9, so all people who have IE6, IE7, IE8 and IE9 will see warning message with call to action to update browser version.
The “Problem” is Version 1.5 is NOT available to us as of June 24, 2014 12 Noon Eastern Daylight Time – sites using your plugin will NOT work properly in terms of displaying message(s). That’s the problem sir!
dxdesigner 1951,
Version 1.5 is already available few hours, you must receive email from codecanyon.
Many thanks for 1 star rating, I hope now you feeling yourself much better.
Actually, I am not that petty and I don’t enjoy giving less than favorable reviews for a product I purchased. While I commend you for doing your best to bring a product to the general public, the frustration is only because, it didn’t work as suggested it would. It isn’t the money paid – that frankly is not the issue – it is however about, offering a client YOUR plugin, based on your own words, because there is no real means to TRY IT before actual purchase.
Your work is appreciated, but in this case, it is NOT complete. Therefore, the negative review, BASED SOLELY on the plugin’s ability to function as implied – it did not, so I gave it 1 star – should it be improved on, I have no problem whatsoever to give it 5 stars – but it has to work as your marketing text implies. As consumers, we only ask for an HONEST effort and a product that will do what you said it would. Had you stated, it works only on DESKTOPS – I still would have purchased it, with the understanding, that MOBILE devices at this time, are NOT supported. You might want to consider changing your sales description, so others will fully understand what your product can and can’t do. Thank you – have a nice day.
Not working 3.9.1 – I only just installed it and it doesn’t work.
emw8,
Thanks for purchasing.
1. Plugin is activated? 2. Please can you try to enable wp_debug? 3. Do you have any errors or notices appear, please send it to us.
http://codex.wordpress.org/WP_DEBUGGreat plugin! Question though. Would it be able to have the option to choose for a pop-up instead of a banner at the top of the page?
NipiusAndVanLoon,
Thanks for suggestion we will think about it, and maybe add new option.
Great! One additional issue we experience. After installing it on our own website, the 5 browser icons show up vertically instead of horizontally. If needed, I can send you a screenshot.
Can you send a link to our support, maybe conflict with theme or other plugin.
Thanks. Just created a new ticket
With version 1.5 you can choose popup or bar at the top for warning message

Hi, thank you for the plugin. This may be my fault for not checking this properly at the very beginning, but I am having the same problem as some of the other commenters. I can’t save the new settings. When I select save, it resets back to the original settings. Couple questions: 1) Are there plans to update this plugin for WP 3.9 in the future? 2) Is there a way for me to change some of the default settings in the code or through CSS and turn the plugin on?
I am on Wordpress 3.9 and am using Ultimate Theme from Themeforest.
Thanks!
JohnRobbins222,
Thanks for purchasing.
Plugin will be updated to WordPress 3.9 soon.
Thanks fruitfulcode. Appreciate the quick response and update. I’m looking forward to using your plugin!!
Hi.
i get that. But, i can not save the options i choosed inside the warming old browser admin panel. if i put IE 8 and Chrome 20 and click save, show me old config (default install) again. if i activate the plugin and save, when screen refresh, back to deactivate. tks.
What WordPress version and theme do you use? Looks like you have a conflict. Can provide access to your website? Please send request to our support via email. We can assist you to solve the issue.
Is it possible to modify the browsers in the header? Such as I Don’t want to suggest Opera.
Only via css. Do you have a skills? Use display: none; or visible: hidden;
Hey,
this plugin is not working for me at all. I can’t save settings or switch to enabled. Whenever I press the save button it just reverts to default settings (disabled). Tried it on several installs and same result.
Can you help?
D
Hello, thanks for purchasing.
Looks like you have a conflict with theme or other plugin. Need to check this. Can you try to switch on default theme and disable all other plugins? If does not help please send email to suppor@fruitfulcode.com
We will try to help you.
ok – changed to twenty twelve and was able to save. Switched back to my theme and settings have remained.
Hey, great work although can I make a suggestion please…
Most of the plugins including yours show a bar or pop out window saying your browser is out of date. Now why not add in an additional option for admins to select an option that covers the full screen so an old browser showing a new website is covered up completely I know I don’t want to see a broken website in a old browser…
This way all bases re covered and the admin can choose how to show his website.
Hope that makes sense Rich
Hi,
I’ve just purchased this plugin. But the icons don’t display in line as in screenshot, but in a column. You can see it in this image (IE8): https://www.dropbox.com/s/80n18okzxn0w65n/img.jpg
What’s happening?
javierfer,
Strange issue, can you send request and link to your website in our support email? We will assist you.
Done! thnx!!
Everything`s ok ok now.
Thanks for your support!
Hi, just now checked your demo on my iPhone, and noticed that the warning message is cut off. (half goes off the righthand side of screen and cannot be seen) Also I read your description and didnt see any mention of responsive. So I am going to assume that this plugin is not responsive.
Do you plan on releasing a version that is responsive?
Best, Mark
Thanks for notice, will be fixed soon
