RSS feed doesn’t seem to be working. No examples are working when typed word for word from an actual working feed link. Any ideas?

If i understood correctly, you want the first dated news to appear first. This can be achieved by this plugin, simply use an ordered list.

Yes you can generate the data via a scripting language (php…) and then call the plugin on that data. This will require coding skills. We are ready to help.

Hi Great stuff! can i disable date, i’m twisting it to show description of items. when the date is removed, it says undefined. i’d like just to post a number instead of a formatted date.

All you have to do is include the js file and apply newswidgwt to a list. The plugin does everything by itself!

Hi, I really like this and bookmarked it. I was wanting to know if there will be a possibility of the news reader utilizing XML for the content anytime in the future? It would be much easier to manage, and would keep my friends out of the source web pages on my site. Thanks
I also favor this approach, unfortunately customers would like html version. I surely will look into providing an xml version, but I don’t know exactly when this will be done.
Hi, Just purchased and have managed to impliment in SharePoint 2013 as a search results template. The problem is that with the structure of the template, the
- . Its wrapped in a etc tag.
So the items in the list dont render as I believe that the plugin is looking for the li as a direct child of the ul.
Is this true and is there a work around?

The plugin looks for the li as a direct child of the element you called the plugin on.
for example if you called the plugin on a div#somethin then the plugin will fetch div#somethin> li (Direct lists only).
This is used because some news(content) contain lists as their body!
To modify the plugin to your needs you can either remove this restriction and let the plugin fetch all lis and treat them as newsItems. Or you can allow n-levels only. For example to fetch li’s that are level 1 and 2.
