Hi there i have got the same issue as abentivoglio described.

When i update the templatera ‘template’ the pages where the template is loaded where not updated, the blocks added don’t show up.

How can i fix this ?

Awesome! I’m glad you sorted it out. Please rate our file

You got my 5 stars! ;) Great support!

Much appreciated!

Hello,

You referred me over here from VisualComposer. I asked about pre-installing templates into themes. Can you provide a quick overview of how that would work? Also, would this require an extended license?

Thanks

Yes it requires extended licenses just like Visual Composer. Templatera is using custom post types for storing templates, so process of importing/exporting templates should be familiar to you. Also within settings->visual composer->templatera you can import/export templatera templates with xml file.

Hello,

Just so we’re clear, exporting/importing theme data without Templatera won’t export/import the templates but with Templatera it will?

Thanks

yes exactly.

Hi, I’m using “Photik” with VC, one of the WPBakery themes. When I try to install Teplatera, VC isn’t found – Error: “Templatera requires Visual Composer…” Shall I move the folder with VC to the plugins directory? Another question, where can I download the latest VC? The version in Photik is 3.5.5 (downloaded today). Regards, Klaus

Hi Klaus,

I’ll update Photik template soon and it will have latest VC in it. I’m traveling now and I will be back in the office next week.

Hi Mixey, I’m getting the following error that prevents the site from loading. I’ve tried installing the .zip from the admin and also uploading via FTP. I have Visual Composer v3.6.3. Any ideas?

Fatal error: Call to undefined function vc_map() in /home2/dpidev/public_html/HBC/wp-content/plugins/templatera/lib/vc_template_manager.php on line 373

Thank you, DesignPoint

Make sure you are using latest Visual Composer version.

where the f* are the “15 CSS Themes for built in content elements” ? i can’t find them on the installed plugin, and in the documntation says are there, but where??!

Please say i do not wasted my money!

Wow, that a nice attitude you have there…

Check settings page. Settings->Visual Composer->Templatera

HI mixey I am using your vc_extend plugin, unfortunately I cannot install Templatera unless I deactivate the vc_extend plugin. Is there anything I can do to use both plugins? Thanks NOTE: this is the error (Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error. Cannot redeclare vc_extend_notice() (previously declared in …..................................../templatera.php on line 32)

Here’s correct scenario: 1) Create New template. VC Templates->Add new. 2) Then in any page insert Templatera block “Add element->Templatera” and select your vc template to be holded in that block. 3) you can create more pages with more templatera blocks. 4) Now, if you’ll update your original VC template, then all pages that have Templatera blocks with that template selected will be updated.

Hi mixey Thank you for your reply, that is exactly what I am doing, but as I said it does not update the tamplate that are already in the pages/post, but I have to delete them and then reinsert them one by one in each page/post. I have tried deactivating all the plugins and tried on a fresh WP install, with the same outcome (not working) Thanks

Hi, I’m out of the office now. Please open support ticket http://support.wpbakery.com my college will help you out. p.s. please share as much info as possible, do you use any plugins? eg. caching?

So, can I use this to create a block of custom fields and then insert them into a template so it displays on each page for each item?

Yes, templatera block is dynamic. You place Templatera block to your pages, select which template should be loaded into it and it works. Simple as that. And when you update your original template, changes will reflect on all pages where you used templatera content element.

Hi, Just to say that this is a fantastic addition to an already excellent plugin. This add-on has allowed me to now edit and save an individual VC content element (not the entire template which is different) that is repeated on many of my pages in one easy stroke, by simply creating a Templatera template. Before I had to edit the repeated VC element multiple times for each page. This was just what I needed.

Many thanks and keep up the great work.

John

Thank you John!

Will it work with existing templates in VC? or will I have to recreate them with this PI?

Yes it will, your current templates will be automatically migrated on plugin activation.

I own VC and run a theme that has it as an element in it. Will this work in both versions?

Yes it should work. If you notice something, just let us know.

Hi there, I’m in the same boat as others, what does this do?? I cant really see anything on this demo…all I know is I love VC lol. maybe this should have just been a nice update for original?

Imagine: You create and save template (“xyz”) with few text blocks, galleries and other content elements. Then you create two pages and insert saved template “xyz” to both of your pages. So, both of your pages have same “set” of elements. Then you update your “xyz” template and both of your pages updated with new changes.

+ import/export templates is very easy with this plugin and as a fre bonus 15 css themes added for built in content elements

ahhh, ok great I’ll give it a whirl

Thanks!

I’m about to release a theme with Visual Composer integrated. I’m wondering if this is worth purchasing the extended license to include as well… Interesting also with the additional CSS themes. That will provide additional content flexibility within the theme…

Of course, your users will have a better template system, you can create set of predefined templates and ship it with your theme, your users will only need to import xml file.

Just picked up an extended license.

Awesome! Thanks!

I have buy it, where can i find the 15 theme’s”)

Under Settings->Visual Composer you should find new tab called “Templatera”, take a look there.

thanks

I bookmark this, is it possible to use with ajaxify?

What is ajaxify?

Wordpress Ajaxify uses HTML5 History API to load pages and submit forms without reloading the entire page. When you click a link to a page from your website, that page will be loaded with jQuery Ajax and the url from browser will be changed but the page won’t reload.

I have tested all ready some things and yes not everything is working because you just reload the #main content and not the whole part. We can talk in a mail about this. its maybe something for the future to fix. But its not a must

The thing is, that a lot of javascript code is executed when page loads, so in ajaxify plugin, this code is only executed once (when you first time load the page).

So is this essentially a custom post type to manage your templates, and then one element that you “wrap” your various elements in within VC, and updating anything inside that element, it updates it everywhere?

What level of updating can you do? Can you rearrange blocks within a template, and they get rearranged on all pages that use them? Or is it just simple things like if you update text on one, it updates the same text on all pages?

Could really use a demo, screenshots, or SOMETHING. I love VC, and I’ve been waiting for some add-ons to come out for it. But I just can’t tell how deep this plugin is at the moment.

Any thoughts?

Brent

Hi Brent,

Sorry, I’m away from the office right now for a little time off. Believe me, this is essential tool :) Imagine, you create template “XYZ” with some layout and elements inside it (created with familiar Visual Composer interface), then you create few pages where you insert, “Templatera” block which “holds” your “XYZ” template. Then, you update your “XYZ” template and all pages updated automatically.

Thanks. But I’m wondering if it updates layout of the various elements, and not just text? So I can move elements around and it will change the layout everywhere?

If so, I may be picking this up.

Brent

Yes, exactly! All changes to your templates will be reflected in all pages were “Templatera” block is used. Text, elements position, layout, everything!

I own the main plugin. I think I love the idea of this plugin. Any chance you can include screenshots.

Point number 2 – you should add a feature to your main plugin and relaunch with a little cross marketing back to this plugin.

Hi, I’m away for a little vacation right now, your purchase will support us a lot :) I’ll do my best, to find time and create screenshots, but this is actually something that “feel” when you work with. And yes, this plugin is essential :)))

“allows not only create”? some editing on your graphic needed maybe—not sure that makes sense. Anyway – any chance of a video demo on this one?

English isn’t my native language, sorry for bad copyrighting.

Just a FYI, I have no idea what this plugin does. I am very familiar with VC, but the copy on this page does not make it clear what this plugin does.

Maybe some screenshots with notes? Or a demo?

Thanks for the input! This adding will take “Templates” to the whole new level. Out of the box you can and load them, with Templatera we are adding quite a few and very handy features, like: better interface for managing templates, control access, Templatera content element (place template to multiple pages, then update original template, and all pages where that template was used will be updated with new content!)

” and all pages where that template was used will be updated with new content!” That is what I assumed the plugin did, but I was just guessing. Wasnt clear in the details.

Hope that helps. Maybe Im just dense though. :)
