hello if I buy it could you install it for me on my website, it is phpfox script, if you do let me know thanks

Hi, installation and customization is not included in the price of the item. There is a documentation in the purchased file on how to install the script and if you have difficulties with it I’ll be helping you with more tips (you need some basic web development knowledge to install it).

Does it by any chance cache the items to a MySQL Database

No, the cache system uses the plain file system – using a database will decrease the performance.

Hello,

great script! Just bought it and i’m really happy now. Just a small question… how can i use favicons for the feeds instead of images… i looked into your code but… i have no clue. :(

sorry… i have no idea about all those programming things… i’m still a noob :) could you give me some code to show the favicons for each feed. please. :D oh and more question. how do i get the time for each feed instead of showing: XX min ago, XX hour ago Thank you for your help.

Please contact me via my profile and we’ll talk about these custom requirements.

You have mail. :)

hello,i purchased the timeline but i have a question, for integrate rss feed,i have to upload the xml file with news every day? o.O it’s not possible load by url???

The example uses the addFeed function of the library – that is where you insert your remote URL – follow that and you’ll be fine.

I can not seem to enter the feed,i send an email for resolve my problem ;)

Alright, I’ll continue support by email.

hi can this script add FB pages feed ? i saw the user id for FB..

I am trying to access the docs, but my purchase code entered is not recognized. Can you advise please?

Hi, the documentation is the docs.html file. It does not require any purchase code in order to view it. If you have further problems with the script please let me know.

Hi! I really like your Script but I have a problem with this feed:

http://www.gcaltenhof.de/2013/share/aktuelles.xml

Can tell me why it does not work with this one?

Hi, the xml works fine when I test it with the script – it’s just that there is no image to each post item. Read more about this here: http://codecanyon.net/item/responsive-rss-timeline/2947067/faqs/11406

Can this be used / installed on a Wordpress themed site?

Thank you for the video, I left my comments and clarifications on the YouTube video.

If you need further help regarding the standalone script functionality I’m here to help. This script is not designed for WordPress specifically (like I already explained in your video comments), so you are on your own with these changes. Your web developer should be able to help and if he doesn’t succeed hire a better one. The installation of this script is not included as support, sorry.

Hi there.

I’ve setup an email to RSS feed using Gmail. The RSS Reader I have picks up the feed OK and refreshes, but I can’t get this timeline to display anything other than ‘No Entries Found’. I have cleared the cache, but no change.

I could send you the URL for my feed if that helps?

Thanks, Richard

Hi Richard, send me a preview URL in a message via my profile page and the configuration you are using to add the feed. I’ll do my best to help.

Did you get my email?

Hi, I responded to your email – you are not using a valid RSS feed. Check out the examples cache folder for a good .xml file.

I Purchased this weeks ago and I have a problem with the plug-in. Is it best that I can contact you via e-mail?

Please get in touch with me via my profile contact form. I’ll do what I can to help out.

How to combine several feeds into one mixed output ?

Use the addFeed function documented and see an example in the index.php file. Hope you get things working.

1) I have an image in my RSS feed (see below), can I show this with the script? How?

<description> blablabla <.img class=”img” src=”http://www.url.com/photo.jpg” alt=””/></.a> </description>

2) If 1) is not possible… Can I show a standard thumbnail/logo with each rss feed item? how?

Hi, all tags are stripped out from the description by default, but you could modify the script to make it work. Please get in touch with me via my contact profile form and I’ll help you tweak things.

Is it possible and easy to install into a wordpress page ?

This plugin can be integrated in a custom WP theme, but with little web developing skills. Currently the script has no WP plugin.

Hi, do you have any idea why your script isn’t working with a Facebook RSS feed? I’ve tried both feeds (http://www.facebook.com/feeds/page.php?id=USER_ID&format=rss20 and http://www.facebook.com/feeds/page.php?format=atom10&id=USER_ID) and neither of them bring anything up in the results (just says no entries found). An RSS reader shows all the entries as they should be.

Hi Liviu – I’ve just rechecked all the feeds, and I can’t get the Facebook RSS feed to work on your script. It’s appearing in other readers. Would you be able to do a test and see if you can get it to work with a FB RSS feed? Just so I can see if it’s something I’m doing wrong, or something in the script is preventing it from working. Thanks!

Yes, looks like I have to trick Facebook into thinking a browser is accessing the feed – not PHP: http://stackoverflow.com/a/6530942 I will update the script right now, please send a message via my contact form if you need it right away. I’ll get back to you with an email attachement. ThemeForest needs to approve the changes and it might take one or two days.

try now :)

Use one of the examples as a HTML basis to set the correct charset encoding (<meta charset="UTF-8" /> in the head). Images are taken automatically from the feed, if it has a media:thumbnail attribute on each item.

hi there, i am trying to get norwegian characters to work on this one..

-> www.dagensnytt.no/test.php

And how do I activate images on it, I am using google RSS so they do have images.. thx :)

What RSS feed source are you using? Your preview has no item.

Bookmarked it when was born… Watched it making the first steps… and now its mine, my own… :) just kidding! nice work dev! Pure Plug-n-Play

Thank you, I appreciate it.

Also, is it possible to specify an image (eg favicon) with each feed rather than using the media:thumbnail? I want to show the logo for each social network in a combined twitter/Facebook RSS feed.

Yes, this is up to you how you customize the front end of the plugin. There are multiple features you can further add, just modify the HTML and CSS of the examples to test things out.
